Gwelf: The Survival Guide by Larry Macdougall Pdf

Dear reader, We welcome and encourage tourists of all kinds in Gwelf. The survival guide will tell you what to expect, what equipment to pack, who to trust and hire as a guide, and where to rest for the night in this magical land steeped in history and mystery. Tips and tricks on how to best enjoy your stay in the more populous areas and cities, together with crucial survival techniques for how to avoid or overcome haunts, ragteeth, mange, or raven machinations cannot be found in any other resource. As a bonus, you'll learn some Gwelf history and lore and get to know some of the locals and our culture. Indeed, so charming and wondrous is Gwelf that occasionally tourists decide to stay and become citizens, joining the ranks of the border patrol; settling in a town as a merchant, artist, or voyeur; or simply retiring to the country or farmlands. Tragically, there have been some that have stayed, but not by choice. We, the council, fear that this has cast a negative light on our beauteous realm. Rest assured that should you follow the precautions outlined in our guide, you will be quite safe, as it is the council's intention to provide this book as a resource so that future mishaps might be avoided . . .

Burrows & Badgers by Michael Lovejoy Pdf

The Kingdom of Northymbra is a land in turmoil. King Redwulf is missing, and his son rules as regent in his stead, facing threats from within and without: growing dissention among the knights and nobles of the realm, whispers of revolution from the Freebeasts, Wildbeasts encroaching on the borders, and bandits of all stripes making the most of the chaos. Burrows & Badgers is a tabletop skirmish game set in the ancient realm of Northymbra, a kingdom where mice, badgers, toads and other animals wear armour, wield swords, and cast magic spells. Your tabletop becomes part of the Kingdom of Northymbra, whose ruined villages, haunted forests, and misty marshes play host to brutal ambushes and desperate skirmishes. Lead your warband from battle to battle, and uphold the name of your faction, whether you stand with Reinert's Royalists, the Freebeasts of the Fox Families, or simply for your own glory or survival. Each model in Burrows & Badgers represents an individual character, and can be selected from a wide range of species – from the humble mouse to the mighty badger – and armed and equipped as desired. Scenarios link into ongoing campaigns, where heroes and villains may make their names and the assistance of infamous mercenaries might mean the difference between victory and defeat.

The Wind in the Willows - Illustrated by Arthur Rackham by Kenneth Grahame Pdf

Kenneth Grahame’s charming children’s classic follows the timeless adventures of Ratty, Mole, Badger, and Toad as they romp around the British countryside. The Wind in the Willows is the enchanting story of four animal friends and their glorious adventures around the Wild Wood and the Thames Riverbank. With themes of unceasing camaraderie, mysticism, morality, and nature, the novel was first published in 1908. I Can Be Myself When Everyone I Know Is Dead... by Kamila Mlynarczyk Pdf

I can be myself when everyone I know is dead... That's the title of the thing I made. The thing that I made is a book. It houses a collection of my art (some from online and some not) created from 2017 - 2019. The writing delves uncomfortably into my mind and life. It describes the rhyme and reason behind why everyone needs a little snail friend, why cute poops make this world a better place, and why werewolves always hesitate before devouring the sacrificial girl-child. Actually, it's really about how horribly influential and affecting childhood is and how babcia's soup is actually her life-blood. No, no, it's more about how Audri is planning to take over the world. It's probably about too many things for one book, which means it's really all about breaking the rules. There are no rules in art, so there are no rules in my book, hence the title: I can be myself when everyone I know is dead... which is much too long to be usefully searchable. Eye of Newt Books wants to let you know that someone in this process took it seriously, tried to follow the rules, and is going to make it a nice artbook that will have you laughing, crying, and cringing by the end. That is...if you read it from cover to cover (which I don't recommend because that would be following the "rules").

Faeries of the Faultlines was an instant Kickstarter success in 2017, and this edited, expanded edition includes the complete original documentation from the greenmen to mermaids, with expanded sections and many more faeries to meet! "Iris Compiet's work is an astonishing and masterful revelation of the Faery Realms. She is an artist who, with stunning alacrity, reveals the fleeting personalities of the normally unseen." --Brian Froud "Iris summons and draws upon the forces that are necessary in giving life to such creatures--imagination, an intelligent curiosity, and a relentless energy. The Faeries are lucky to have her!" --Alan Lee "I have known Iris for many years. I have watched her find her voice. I am enchanted by her vision." --John Howe

Trolls by Brian Froud,Wendy Froud Pdf

The internationally acclaimed artists & authors are your personal guides to the enchanted world of Trolls in this book of troll tales and culture. Not since Brian Froud’s conceptual design work with Jim Henson on the classic films The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth has he created a faerie world with such imagination, dimension, depth, and detail. Trolls opens a new realm in the celebrated faerie worlds of famed artists Brian and Wendy Froud, renowned for their vast and personal knowledge of faeries, goblins, and other folk. Through their art, sculptures, and stories, the Frouds take you on a wonderous adventure into the world of trolls. Trolls live through the telling of tales and the passing on of stories, weaving them together, then letting them flow separately again, as streams, rivers, tree roots, and branches do. Stories, as they are collected, are tied to a troll’s tail: “A tale for the asking, the giving, the keeping.” Trolls includes stories of stone and bone, wood and feather, along with tale fragments, snippets of stories to be told in full down the road or ones that have been lost and are to be remembered again. Interspersed among the stories are troll customs, philosophies, and practices: How many kinds of trolls are there? Where do they live, and what do they like to eat? Why do some trolls father together while others seek solitude? Troll lore is interwoven with a vast treasure of artifacts and symbols of their world, from the wind knot to the Petrified Parsnip Poetry Pen, from the witch’s cursing bundle to the elusive Earthling Gift. Your journey through Trolls will reveal many mysteries, wonder, and enchantments, and there are no better guides for your adventure than Brian and Wendy Froud.
