She is the proud recipient of various honors including All American Scholar, Who's Who in American College Students, Highest Achievement Awards from Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. and School of Business Management, MSU. Little did Katherine dream growing up in a single-parent home in The Bahamas, the path God had for her life. He had a divine purpose and plan for her future. She was destined to be an "over-comer". The book goes on to share her two failed marriages, and her ordeal with breast cancer. In the midst of all her storms, she was confident God was present and making no mistakes about her life. She never lost Hope or Faith in God despite her many trials. She gives God praise for taking her through these various tribulations triumphantly and conquering the enemy. The author provides a wonderful example for others as to how they, too, can achieve and be victorious against many odds-with God's help. Katherine now lives in Albany, Georgia and is a member of Sherwood Baptist Church. She has two wonderful sons, Kyhiel and Anthony, "Kylie".
