I Love Jesus, But I Want to Die by Sarah J. Robinson Pdf

A compassionate, shame-free guide for your darkest days “A one-of-a-kind book . . . to read for yourself or give to a struggling friend or loved one without the fear that depression and suicidal thoughts will be minimized, medicalized or over-spiritualized.”—Kay Warren, cofounder of Saddleback Church What happens when loving Jesus doesn’t cure you of depression, anxiety, or suicidal thoughts? You might be crushed by shame over your mental illness, only to be told by well-meaning Christians to “choose joy” and “pray more.” So you beg God to take away the pain, but nothing eases the ache inside. As darkness lingers and color drains from your world, you’re left wondering if God has abandoned you. You just want a way out. But there’s hope. In I Love Jesus, But I Want to Die, Sarah J. Robinson offers a healthy, practical, and shame-free guide for Christians struggling with mental illness. With unflinching honesty, Sarah shares her story of battling depression and fighting to stay alive despite toxic theology that made her afraid to seek help outside the church. Pairing her own story with scriptural insights, mental health research, and simple practices, Sarah helps you reconnect with the God who is present in our deepest anguish and discover that you are worth everything it takes to get better. Beautifully written and full of hard-won wisdom, I Love Jesus, But I Want to Die offers a path toward a rich, hope-filled life in Christ, even when healing doesn’t look like what you expect.

Mending the Soul by Steven R. Tracy Pdf

This book provides a well-researched biblical and scientific overview of abuse. A broad overview, it deals with the various types of abuse, the various effects of abuse, and the means of healing. Abuse can be sexual, physical, neglect, spiritual, and verbal. The chief arguments pursued throughout the book are: (1) abuse is far more rampant than most Christians realize, but due to human depravity and satanic influence, widespread abuse is predicable. (2) All types of abuse create profound, long-term soul damage due to the way abuse perverts various aspects of the image of God. (3) God is the healing redeemer. Human salvation came through horrible physical abuse. (4) Healing must take place in the context of relationships. Humans are deeply impacted by others due to being made in the image of God. Just as surely as abusive relationships have tremendous power to wound the soul, so healthy relationships have tremendous power to nurture and heal the soul. Questions answered in the book include: - How can a genuine believer abuse a child? - Why would someone abuse a child? - How can parents and childrens’ workers identify abusers? - How can abuse victims heal? - What does genuine healing look like? - Is anger appropriate or hurtful for abuse victims? - Where does forgiveness fit in? Helpful sample child protection policy, application, screening interview, and warning signs of potential abusers equip ministry leaders. Illustrations, case studies, and art therapy drawings.

Deep Emotional Prayer Therapy - Volume 1 by Marinda Summerton, PH D Pdf

Deep Emotional Prayer Therapy is at the core of healing the broken heart. Meeting the broken heart at the root of the trauma, finding the truth in the first and subsequent traumas. Uprooting all lie based beliefs in traumas paves the way to freedom in new responses to current events instead of reacting from past wounds. Deep Emotional Prayer therapy rejects hypnosis and guided imagery also used in regression therapy. We have to take every thought captive to Christ and cannot do so whist under the control of a hypnotherapist or while following the instructions of guided imagery. Understanding that God, Satan and man are made up of three parts is not just interesting but a necessary foundational knowledge. Many in the body of Christ overstep their authority and get wounded in the process. In this volume I touch on the hierarchy of the Satanic kingdom, ley lines and some entity types to be on the lookout for. Many deliverance ministers have tried to cast out entities who manifested like demons but who are actually majorly deceived parts of a dissociative identity disorder system, and therefore cannot be cast out because they are part of the fragmented soul. These wounded personality parts end up being more wounded than before, and then simply believe that they are demons when in fact they are just deceived parts of the soul. The spirit, soul and body concept are explored, with brief explanation of how the brain process, store and retrieve memories. The body most certainly remembers trauma as well and it is important to release the trauma out of the body on cell, tissue and organ level. Many therapists use relaxing music in sessions, but this interferes with the natural mood and emotion of the counselee, and I therefore do not promote this and many other practises for reasons explained in this book. I provide a standard operating procedure manual for sessions as well as a quick disease reference table. In John 16:12 Jesus said, "I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.". Many revelations have been made regarding many scriptures that Christian counselling ministers are finding very beneficial in the counselling office. I trust that every Christian counsellor will be blessed by this book as we work out Ephesians 5:27 ""So that he might present the church to himself in splendour, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish." Let us therefore work to present a bride healed and whole to our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ of Nazareth by healing one heart at a time and rooting out all lie based woundings.
