Why does a Grandfather Clock Stop Working? Often, the works are dirty, need oiling, or, most likely, both. When the clock stops, think of it as “the oil light is on”. It’s a “cry for help”. I wish my grandparents had written such a book for me to know them better.

In school, I was the worst writer and speller. Now I am writing as a published author. This book has helped me understand my past and, put all the pieces into perspective, understand how each experience has affected and influenced my life. Getting started was the hardest part. Once I started writing, I became addicted and consumed, I couldn’t stop. It was almost like I needed to see where I came from and where it was taking me.

They say when you have a near-death experience, your life flashes before you. Writing your own life story is a much more civilized way to get what I assume is the same experience. It is a fascinating journey revisiting one’s own life. Our memories are stored in the mind as little pockets of isolated information.
