How to Prevent Autism by Dara Berger Pdf

The statistics are alarming and become more so every year. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that 1 in 68 children have been identified with an autism spectrum disorder, making it one of the fastest growing developmental disorders in the United States. Further, the CDC estimates that parents with a child on the autism spectrum can have nearly a 20 percent chance of having a second child with autism. In How to Prevent Autism, Dara Berger shares her personal journey with autism. She describes everything that went wrong with her son that led to an autism diagnosis and everything she did differently to prevent her daughter from suffering the same fate. She interviews eight well-known ASD experts--including doctors, nutritionists, nurses, and scientists--about the factors that have led to the growing epidemic of autism. Based on the best practices for preventing autism in children, each professional offers perspectives grounded in their own research and their patients’ improvements. The book covers every detail--from the importance of mothers’ cleaning out their bodies preconception, through common genetic mutations that may put children at risk, to the crucial role of nutrition in prevention. All parents agree that every choice counts when it comes to the health of their children. As Dara Berger makes clear in this personal, informative, and authoritative book, the stakes could not be higher when it comes to autism.

Stop Autism Now! by Bruce Fife Pdf

Over 1 million people have autism. This number is rapidly growing. Over the past several years autism has increased to epidemic proportions. Thirty years ago it affected only about 1 in 2,500; today 1 out of every 88 children in the United States and 1 out of 64 in the UK are affected. Autism has quickly become a worldwide problem. Over the past 12 years there has been a 17 percent increase in childhood developmental disabilities of all types including autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), epilepsy, mental retardation, and others. Currently in the United States, 4 million children have attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, the most common learning disability, and an incredible one in six children are classified as learning disabled. Why the sudden astronomical rise in developmental disabilities? Most doctors have no clue what causes autism, nor any idea how to prevent or even treat it. The only medically recognized form of treatment is an attempt to teach affected children how to manage the disorder and live with it. Antidepressants, antipsychotics, and stimulants are often prescribed to help cope with symptoms. No possibility of a cure is offered, as the condition is considered permanent—in other words “hopeless.” Autism, however, is not a hopeless condition. It can be prevented and successfully treated without the use of drugs. This book describes an innovative new dietary and lifestyle approach that has proven very successful in reversing even some of the most severe developmental disorders, allowing once disabled children to enter regular school and lead normal, happy, productive lives. There is a solution. You can stop autism now! “Dr. Fife has done an outstanding job on Stop Autism Now! This book gives the latest stats on the pervasiveness of autism spectrum disorder and more importantly, viable solutions. With food lists and recipes galore, Dr. Fife makes the diet doable and manageable and worth your effort to try it.” --Carolyn Dean, MD, ND, Author of The Magnesium Miracle “ Bruce Fife has produced another masterpiece. Autism is a subject that I have spent a good deal of time analyzing, researching, and writing about and no one does a better job condensing and explaining what is known about this terrible disorder than does Doctor Fife. His advice, designed to treat this disorder, is based on good science and practical experience. This book will help millions of children who have become a victim of a health policy gone mad. Parents should all have this book on their bookshelves and refer to it often.” --Russell L. Blaylock, M.D, Author of Excitotoxins: The Taste That Kills Theoretical Neurosciences Research, LLC Visiting Professor of Biology, Belhaven University, Jackson, Ms Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery, University of Mississippi (retired)

What Causes Autism, How To Prevent Autism, Strategies For How To Effectively Manage Autism, The Various Causes Of Mental Illnesses, Why Mental Illnesses Have Become Prevalent, And How To Efficaciously Prevent Mental Illnesses by Dr Harrison Sachs Pdf

This essay sheds light on what causes autism, explicates how to prevent autism, and identifies strategies for how to effectively manage autism. Moreover, why mental illnesses have become prevalent is elucidated, the various causes of mental illnesses are demystified, and how to efficaciously prevent mental illnesses is delineated in this essay. Moreover, the ample deadly disease causing foods that you should always desist from ever considering devouring are identified in this essay. Furthermore, how to substantially mitigate risks for succumbing to contracting perilous chronic diseases by embracing a salubrious, wholesome, heart healthy, brain healthy, kidney healthy, anticancer, antidiabetic, nutrient dense, alkaline, antioxidant rich, anti-inflammatory, raw fruitarian diet is expounded upon in this essay. Similarly to how there are ample causes behind mental illnesses, the causes of autism are multitudinous. Contracting autism in the womb can be life alternating for an individual which is why it is of eminent importance that the mother does everything in her purview to preempt her child from contracting autism. Navigating your way through life in this simulated reality and attaining profound success in the real world can become all the more cumbersome when you have autism and have extremely difficulty focusing on the various tasks at hand. "Autism spectrum disorder is a broad term used to describe a group of neurodevelopmental disorders. These autism spectrum disorders are characterized by problems with communication and social interaction. People with autism spectrum disorder often demonstrate restricted, repetitive, and stereotyped interests or patterns of behavior" (Cherney & Seladi-Schulman, 2018). Moreover, "people with Autism spectrum disorder can have other conditions that can widen the spectrum even further. These secondary conditions include speech and language difficulties, intellectual disability, sleep problems, attention problems, epilepsy, anxiety, depression, and difficulties with fine and gross motor skills" (Hetzler, 2016). Furthermore, "hyperactivity is one of the most prevalent symptoms in diagnosis of autism. Most children with autism have hyperactivity together with attention deficit. It is thought that there is a connection between attention deficit and autism" ("Autism and Hyperactivity," 2018). "Children diagnosed with autism can show symptoms of hyperactivity, inattentiveness or impulsivity" (Johnson, 2012) from a young age. The ramifications of contracting autism can be of dire consequence to your future and should not be overlooked. Children will be all the more prone to contracting autism if their parents choose to be irresponsible and neglectful towards optimizing the health of their children. It can be all the more arduous to be successful in the real world when you are stifled by autism. It is believed that exposure to neurotoxins can elicit autism, similarly to how encountering these adversities can elicit ADHD. "Exposure to lead for instance can result in hyperactivity and inattention. Lead can be found a variety of places, such as in the paint of homes built before 1978 or" (Low, 2019) even in municipal water supplies. "An analysis of chemicals in baby teeth suggests that exposure to lead in pregnancy or shortly after birth might make infants more vulnerable to developing autism. Higher lead exposure when an infant reached the 3-month mark was linked to a higher risk for greater autism severity. Metal exposure in early infancy might affect autism severity when it develops" (Mozes, 2017). Nothing salubrious can ever ensue from being exposed to deleterious neurotoxins. Similar to the risk factors for ADHD, the risk factors for autism are extensive. Beyond exposure to neurotoxins, such as lead, being able to precipitate the development of autism, it is also believed that "poor nutrition and infections during pregnancy can increase the risk of" (Low, 2019) autism.

The Environmental and Genetic Causes of Autism by James Lyons-Weiler Pdf

The Environmental and Genetic Causes of Autism delves deep into the full body of past and current research to reveal how genetic predispositions and environmental factors can combine to produce the conditions autism and autism spectrum disorders (ASD). To make this groundbreaking volume, Dr. James Lyons-Weiler combed through the past fifty years of published research on autism, exploring subjects such as genetic variation, mechanisms of neurotoxicity of metals and pesticides, and the central and combined roles of each in causing autism. Lyons-Weiler provides a major overview of all aspects of the condition of autism, reviews changes in diagnoses and treatments, and explains how genetic information can be used to tailor effective treatments, and sometimes reversals, of the symptoms. He also presents practical forward-looking suggestions on how to design future studies to facilitate the discovery of biomarkers for autism risk and how to classify the full range of autism spectrum disorders. Autism is considered one of the most mystifying conditions of our day, and alarmed scientists, doctors, politicians, and parents are desperately trying to understand why the condition is escalating. According to the CDC, rates in the United States have risen from an estimated one in two thousand children in 1980, to one in sixty-eight in 2012, and a new National Health Interview Survey shows a rate of one in forty-five. By the time you read this book, that number may have changed yet again. While most autism researchers focus on either environmental or genetic causes of autism, Lyons-Weiler’s opus demonstrates that to fully understand the condition and to finally put its rate on the decrease, it is essential to pay attention to the science showing how the two classes of factors interact.

Turn Autism Around by Mary Lynch Barbera, Ph.D. Pdf

Help remediate—and in some cases eliminate—autism and other developmental delays in young children, even in as little as 15 minutes a day with this toolkit of behavioral practices that can be taught at home. Developmental delays and signs of autism usually show up before 18 months of age, yet children are often not diagnosed until they are 4 or 5 years old. In Turn Autism Around, Dr. Mary Barbera explains why parents can't afford to worry and wait in long lines for evaluations and treatment while not knowing how to help their children. She empowers parents, caregivers, and early intervention professionals to regain hope and take back control with simple strategies to dramatically improve outcomes for their children. Dr. Barbera has created a new approach to teaching kids with developmental delays that uses the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) married with a positive, child-friendly methodology that any parent can use—whether or not their child has delays—to learn to teach communication skills, socialization strategies, as well as tackle sleep, eating, potty training, and behavior challenges in a positive, effective, and lasting way. Turn Autism Around is the first book of its kind that calls attention to an important fact: parents can make a tremendous impact on their child's development through behavioral practices taught at home, even in as little as 15 minutes a day. Her program shows these autism and developmental delays can be remediated, and in some cases, delays can be caught up altogether, if parents intervene while the child is young. This book is for parents of young children aged one-to-five years who are passionate about helping their child as well as learning how they can change the trajectory of their child's and family's life.
