Over the course of the night, the Minikins worked until they were done, lit only by fireflies. As they took a step back to enjoy their work, they were filled with pride and hope. They had joined forces and used their individual skills and energies to help achieve a shared goal. By showing that they were ready and able to help Tom, even though they were different sizes, they earned his trust and friendship.
