From Lost to Found by Nicole Zasowski Pdf

Being Lost is the First Step to Getting Found As a marriage and family therapist, one of Nicole Zasowski’s greatest joys is helping her clients grow in emotional freedom. What she couldn’t see for many years is that she was living her own life outside of that freedom, clinging to behaviors like shame, performance, and control in order to feel valued and safe. It was only when she was confronted with her own devastating pain and loss that Nicole realized her current way of life was failing her. She then discovered that sometimes God’s rescue looks like prying our fingers off what we think we want so that we can receive what we truly need. And often, on the far side of pain we don’t prefer, we find transformation we would not trade. In From Lost to Found, Nicole shares her story as she helps us name what we fear losing most, identify how our reactive behaviors are failing us, discover what joy we can find in letting go, and move forward in the freedom God has for us. God is writing a story of redemption in your life too. Find out for yourself that sometimes the greatest joy is found when we are drained of all misplaced hope and shallow identities. In the midst of pain or transition, discover a surprising path to healing as you lose your grip on comfort and control—and fall right into God’s transformative grace. Includes discussion questions for individual reflection or small group study

Joy in the Midst of Pain by Maribel Roman Pdf

In Joy in the Midst of Pain, Dr. Roman shares her story and stories of "Pain Warriors" and the holistic methods (physical, emotional and spiritual wellness) they use to treat their pain and live full and joyful lives. The book offers five principles that led to discovering that joy is internal, it is something we receive and it must be nurtured and tended to. Dr. Roman believes the reader will be encouraged to start their own journey of living in joy in the midst of anything painful that life brings their way. The reader will learn that it is possible to portray a realistic image of being in pain without letting the pain define us, and confirm that joy is an attitude of the heart and spirit.

Joy in the Midst of Pain by Diane Czekala Pdf

When Diane Czekala's daughter April died in 2011, she was just twenty-three and had her whole life ahead of her. Uniquely, she knew she was going to die and told her mother about it three months before it happened. Diane wanted to hear nothing about it, but then told her, " 'IF' you do die, find a way to let me know you are okay". After her death, Diane and her husband, Michael, feared for April's salvation. But Joy in the Midst of Pain recounts dramatic instances of dreams, visions, and prophetic inspirations that came from people across the country who knew April. Each clearly confirmed to the couple their daughter was with Jesus, there is life after death, and it is wonderful . As a minister of healing, Diane also explains different types of grieving, understanding the grieving process, and hindrances to healing, as she shares her story. If you wonder about life after death, are sorrowing the loss of a loved one, or know someone who is, Joy in the Midst of Pain will offer hope in Jesus and inspire you to draw near to God. As Diane's story emphatically demonstrates, "He will get you through."

The Better Mom by Ruth Schwenk Pdf

Mothering is messy. Our joy and hope in raising children doesn’t change the reality that being a mom can be frustrating, stressful, and tiring. But just as God is using us to shape our children, God is using our children and motherhood to shape us. In The Better Mom, author Ruth Schwenk, herself a mother of four children, encourages us with the good news that there is more to being a mom than the extremes of striving for perfection or simply embracing the mess. We don’t need to settle for surviving our kids’ childhood. We can grow through it. With refreshing and heartfelt honesty Ruth emboldens moms to: Find freedom and walk confidently in purpose Create a God-honoring home environment Overcome unhealthy and destructive emotions such as anger, anxiety, and more Avoid glorifying the mess of mom-ing or idolizing perfection Cultivate life-giving friendships At the heart of The Better Mom is the message that Jesus calls us to live not a weary life, but a worthy life. We don’t have to settle for either being apathetic or struggling to be perfect. Both visions of motherhood go too far. Ruth offers a better option. She says, “It’s okay to come as we are, but what we’re called to do and be is far too important to stay there! The way to becoming a better mom starts not with what we are doing, but with who God is inviting us to become."

In the Midst of Pain by Juanita R. McNeil Pdf

The reason why I wrote this book is that I am hoping that I can reachout to others who are in pain and hopefully help them persevere and cope through life's toughest battles. I want to encourage people who are in some type of pain in hopes that I can help them recover from it. Now, the first four chapters of this book is about my life as a child growing up in a vicious atmosphere and how this same vicious cycle always seems to repeat itself. This vicious cycle grew with me into my adulthood. This book also contains what reality is like for me and how it is for others. Reality is very different for each individual, and each individual deals with it differently. I will also tell you about how I dealt with the pain and how others can learn to deal with it too. Now, if there is someone out there who is in despair and thinks that death is the only answer to all their pain, well, please, I hope that you will continue to read this book. I do pray that it will help you or help you deal with someone you know who thinks that death is the only answer. Believe me when I say that death is not the answer, because it's not. So my purpose of my book is to help you change your perspective on life in THE MIDST OF PAIN. But it is only now that I have come to realize that after enduring some serious traumas in my life, life is good after all, and it is such a blessing to live for God. Just think how life can bring you understanding on how to use your pain as an opportunity to help others in need, who are right in the middle of a crisis. Just when you think you can't handle no more and that you feel like you are at the end of your rope, that is when God shows up, and God will show off his blessings in your life. Please believe me when I say that this is the most beautiful and wonderful feeling to ever have. No one can make you feel as good as God does. Now, not only will God make you feel good, but he will also change your life to the good. All you have to do is just reach out and take his hand, because he is waiting for you. This book is based on the facts and the truth about my life. Now, through the pain that I have endured, I have gained some insight for the purpose of my book. I am blessed to say that this book has changed my life, and I am in hopes that it will help change other people's lives too. The more I read my own book, the more I learn from it. I do hope that it will do the same for you too, for it is my desire to help all those who are in need of an answer. May God bless you as you read this book!

If God Is Good by Randy Alcorn Pdf

Suffering is, in the end, God’s invitation to trust him. “As he did in his best-selling book, Heaven, Randy Alcorn delves deep into a profound subject, and through compelling stories, provocative questions and answers, and keen biblical understanding, he brings assurance and hope to all.” –Publishers Weekly Every one of us will experience suffering. You may be in such a time now. We see the presence of evil in the headlines every day. It all raises questions about God—Why would an all-good and all-powerful God create a world full of evil and suffering? How can there be a God if suffering and evil exist? Atheists such as Richard Dawkins and even former believers like Bart Ehrman answer the question simply: The existence of suffering and evil proves there is no God. But in this illuminating book, best-selling author Randy Alcorn challenges the logic of disbelief, and brings a fresh, hopeful, and thoroughly biblical insight to the issues these important questions raise. Alcorn offers insights from his conversations with men and women whose lives have been torn apart by suffering, and yet whose faith in God burns brighter than ever. He reveals the big picture of who God is and what God is doing in the world—now and forever. And he shows the beauty of God’s sovereignty—how it ultimately triumphs over suffering and evil in our lives and the world around us.

Unleash the Power of Prayer in Your Life by Horace Williams Jr. Pdf

Are you hurting or suffering in silence? God has a purpose in your pain. Many people in general, and even Christians admittedly avoid the subject of pain almost as much as they avoid pain itself. But once you understand the purpose of pain, you can make the most of the painful experiences in life. In The Furnace of Affliction: How God Uses Our Pain and Suffering for His Purpose, Horace Williams, Jr. tackles this challenging topic. Based on the Word of God, insights from other leaders, and his studies, he addresses several key points, including: How pain develops our faith How pain determines our path How pain delivers comfort, joy, and peace And how pain deepens our commitment to God. Packed with personal stories and scripture to support his points, Horace shares his insights on the problem of pain. His candid and straightforward communication style engages the reader as he addresses this critical topic for the body of Christ today.
