Indomitus Sum by Robert W. Brady, Jr Pdf

The battle for Fovea is on, and a girl named Raven and a man named Jack aren't even sure of which side they should be on. On one side is the Emperor, Rancor Mordetur, from their home planet of Earth. He seems to have a lot on this side - a massive army of highly trained warriors, the most feared witch on Fovea as his wife and superior technology born of another world. On the other is every Fovean Nation; savage Man and wild Uman, long-lived Uman-Chi and merciless Swamp Devils and Slee; all of them unwilling to be subjects of the Empire. But is the Empire evil, or do Raven and Jack not yet have the whole picture? And what of the song that so few people can hear, sung to them by an Uman-Chi girl barely 167 years old? If they can find the weapons mentioned in the song, can they win the day? Or, as the song says, are they doomed to fail? Indomitus Sum is the conclusion to Indomitus Oriens. Now you can finally learn the fate of those who have no faith, but who instead know the will of their gods.

Semper Indomitus by Robert W. Brady, Jr Pdf

Randy Morden was tricked by the dying god, Anubis, into converting to the Death God's religion. The first thing Anubis did was to trade him to another god, War, in a land called Fovea, where magic is real and men ride horses into war, and justice is often at the point of a sword. The god War instructed him, "Lead a successful life," and Randy made of himself a Duke, in the nation of Eldador, and he turned Eldador into the economic powerhouse of the known world. But that wasn't enough. So Randy made himself a King, and Eldador into an Empire, and that empire into the juggernaut that ruled land and sea - but that wasn't enough. Not for the hungry god, War. Other gods brought other champions to Fovea from Earth - an older man, a young girl, and they, too, became powerful. A prophesy was sung, telling of an impending war, of a fight to late to win, of weapons against the One. We took an Intermission, and we learned of the Randy's children, how powerful they'd become, of the adventures they had. Now, in the final story, we learn it all. Who is this mysterious Druid and what is his secret? What is the power of Latin here? Most importantly, what is Randy's 'success,' and what is its terrible price? Set yourself aside a block of time, because you're not going to want to put down Semper Indomitus, and you'll NEVER believe how this adventure ends!

The Vulgate Bible by Swift Edgar,Angela M. Kinney Pdf

Volume IV presents writings attributed to the “major” prophets: Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Daniel. Dire prophecies of God’s impending judgment are punctuated by portentous visions. Profound grief is accompanied by the promise of mercy and redemption, a promise illustrated best by Isaiah’s visions of a new heaven and a new earth.

Delphi Collected Works of Saint Jerome (Illustrated) by Saint Jerome Pdf

The most learned of the Latin Fathers, Saint Jerome had an eventful life, spending time as a hermit, becoming a priest, serving as secretary to Pope Damasus I and later establishing a monastery at Bethlehem. His most ambitious achievement was his Latin translation of the Bible, the Vulgate, based on a Hebrew version, rather than the Septuagint. He believed that mainstream Rabbinical Judaism had rejected the Septuagint as invalid scriptural texts, due to Hellenistic mistranslations. Jerome’s numerous biblical, ascetical, monastic and theological works went on to have a profound influence in the early Middle Ages. Delphi’s Ancient Classics series provides eReaders with the wisdom of the ancient world, with both English translations and the original Latin texts. Private Prayers Put Forth by Authority During the Reign of Queen Elizabeth by William K. Clay Pdf

The Parker Society was the London-based Anglican society that printed in fifty-four volumes the works of the leading English Reformers of the sixteenth century. It was formed in 1840 and disbanded in 1855 when its work was completed. Named after Matthew Parker -- the first Elizabethan Archbishop of Canterbury, who was known as a great collector of books -- the stimulus for the foundation of the society was provided by the Tractarian movement, led by John Henry Newman and Edward B. Pusey. Some members of this movement spoke disparagingly of the English Reformation, and so some members of the Church of England felt the need to make available in an attractive form the works of the leaders of that Reformation.

Love Lyrics from the Carmina Burana by P. G. Walsh Pdf

Walsh's book should be a vade mecum for anyone who would teach the Carmina Burana on any level and be of considerable value in general to medievalists, comparatists, and those in related disciplines.--New England Classical Newsletter and Journal "Teachers, students, and any reader interested in medieval lyric will find this volume a clear and useful approach to intrinsically interesting texts.--Renaissance Quarterly "The most scholarly and most helpful presentation of a group of these captivating lyrics that has yet appeared in English.--Peter Dronke, University of Cambridge "A superb volume, fully worthy of these famous but often misunderstood poems. P. G. Walsh's unmatched erudition in Latin literature furnishes lucid grammatical explanations, incisive analysis of goliardic literary values and technique, and illuminating references to ancient and medieval parallels. His prose translations make the poems accessible also to those with little or no Latin.--Janet M. Martin, Princeton University
