Trieste Publishing has a massive catalogue of classic book titles. Our aim is to provide readers with the highest quality reproductions of fiction and non-fiction literature that has stood the test of time. The many thousands of books in our collection have been sourced from libraries and private collections around the world. The titles that Trieste Publishing has chosen to be part of the collection have been scanned to simulate the original. Our readers see the books the same way that their first readers did decades or a hundred or more years ago. Books from that period are often spoiled by imperfections that did not exist in the original. Imperfections could be in the form of blurred text, photographs, or missing pages. It is highly unlikely that this would occur with one of our books. Our extensive quality control ensures that the readers of Trieste Publishing's books will be delighted with their purchase. Our staff has thoroughly reviewed every page of all the books in the collection, repairing, or if necessary, rejecting titles that are not of the highest quality. This process ensures that the reader of one of Trieste Publishing's titles receives a volume that faithfully reproduces the original, and to the maximum degree possible, gives them the experience of owning the original work.We pride ourselves on not only creating a pathway to an extensive reservoir of books of the finest quality, but also providing value to every one of our readers. HANDBOOK AND GUIDE ON INDUCTION CUM FOUNDATION COURSE by Dr. Mukul Burghate Pdf

“Purpose of Student Induction Programme is to help new students adjust and feel comfortable in the new environment, inculcate in them the ethos and culture of the institution, help them build bonds with other students and faculty members, and expose them to a sense of larger purpose and self-exploration. The term induction is generally used to describe the whole process whereby the incumbents adjust to or acclimatize to their new roles and environment. In other words, it is a well-planned event to educate the new entrants about the environment in a particular institution, and connect them with the people in it. Student Induction Programme engages with the new students as soon as they come into the institution; before regular classes start. At the start of the induction, the incumbents learn about the institutional policies, processes, practices, culture and values, and their mentor groups are formed.” A Guide to Student Induction Programme, UNIVERSITY GRANTS COMMISSION, Published on 15th August 2018(Independent Day) An attempt is made here by the experts to assist the students by way of providing case based and activity oriented handbook as per the curriculum with non-commercial considerations. Harris's Spiral Course in English by Thomas G. Harris Pdf

Excerpt from Harris's Spiral Course in English: Inductive Lessons in Language and Grammar The Spiral Course in English is constructed in accordance with the doctrine that grammar is the science of the sentence. The sentence is taken as the unit of language, and the controlling purpose is to furnish such exercises as will lead to its mastery. The "Course in English," as a whole, is built upon the Spiral Plan. The Spiral Plan provides for gradation in progress from lower to higher phases of the subject. It takes for granted that, in his first years formal study of the sentence, the pupil should learn the more obvious facts pertaining to the simple sentence; that, in his second years study, he should, from a slightly higher point of view, see these facts in a clearer light, and at the same time learn a few of the somewhat more intricate phases of sentences perceptibly more difficult yet simple in structure; that each succeeding year he should gain broader and clearer views of all that he has previously learned, and at the same time master the construction and analysis of more and more complicated sentences until he acquires ability to understand, to interpret, to analyze, and to construct all forms and classes of the English sentence. In this constantly ascending course, this First Book provides two years' work, the second of which is at once a review and an extension of the first. In lessons designed for teaching facts and principles, the Inductive Method is invariably used; the general course from lesson to lesson, from years work to year's work, is Spiral. The book provides for a large amount and a great variety of constructive work. This work is not merely suggested in a general way; it is definitely laid out for study and for use in the recitation. To summarize, the salient features of this book are: 1. Strict adherence to its central aim - to teach the sentence. 2. Close conformity to the Spiral Plan. 3. Continuous and consistent application of the Inductive Method. 4. Great abundance and variety of constructive work. Examining the Teacher Induction Process in Contemporary Education Systems by Öztürk, Mustafa,Hoard, Paul Robert Pdf

Before today’s teachers are ready to instruct the intellectual leaders of tomorrow, they must first be trained themselves. Every teacher experiences an induction process that can make their early years as an educator nerve-racking. Focusing on this period of time in a teacher’s career can lead to greater teacher retention and success. Examining the Teacher Induction Process in Contemporary Education Systems addresses the construct of teacher induction through theoretical and empirical research. It also provides an in-depth conceptualization of being a novice teacher through micro-political realities of teaching in different geographical and cultural regions. While highlighting topics including adaptation challenges, mentor-mentee interaction, and teacher retention, this book is ideally designed for school administrators, early career teachers, educational researchers, educational professionals, and academicians seeking current research on early career educator adaptation and practices.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Inductive Logic Programming, ILP-99, held in Bled, Slovenia, in June 1999. The 24 revised papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 40 submissions. Also included are abstracts of three invited contributions. The papers address all current issues in inductive logic programming and inductive learning, from foundational and methodological issues to applications, e.g. in natural language processing, knowledge discovery, and data mining.

A Logical Introduction to Probability and Induction by Franz Huber Pdf

A Logical Introduction to Probability and Induction is a textbook on the mathematics of the probability calculus and its applications in philosophy. On the mathematical side, the textbook introduces these parts of logic and set theory that are needed for a precise formulation of the probability calculus. On the philosophical side, the main focus is on the problem of induction and its reception in epistemology and the philosophy of science. Particular emphasis is placed on the means-end approach to the justification of inductive inference rules. In addition, the book discusses the major interpretations of probability. These are philosophical accounts of the nature of probability that interpret the mathematical structure of the probability calculus. Besides the classical and logical interpretation, they include the interpretation of probability as chance, degree of belief, and relative frequency. The Bayesian interpretation of probability as degree of belief locates probability in a subject's mind. It raises the question why her degrees of belief ought to obey the probability calculus. In contrast to this, chance and relative frequency belong to the external world. While chance is postulated by theory, relative frequencies can be observed empirically. A Logical Introduction to Probability and Induction aims to equip students with the ability to successfully carry out arguments. It begins with elementary deductive logic and uses it as basis for the material on probability and induction. Throughout the textbook results are carefully proved using the inference rules introduced at the beginning, and students are asked to solve problems in the form of 50 exercises. An instructor's manual contains the solutions to these exercises as well as suggested exam questions. The book does not presuppose any background in mathematics, although sections 10.3-10.9 on statistics are technically sophisticated and optional. The textbook is suitable for lower level undergraduate courses in philosophy and logic.
