Intelligent Word Recognition by Fouad Sabry Pdf

What Is Intelligent Word Recognition The process of recognizing unconstrained handwritten words is known as Intelligent Word Recognition, abbreviated IWR. Instead than recognizing handwritten words or phrases character by character like its predecessor, optical character recognition (OCR), IWR can recognize full handwritten words or phrases. IWR technology compares written or handwritten words to a vocabulary that has been created by the user, which considerably reduces the number of character errors that are produced by conventional character-based recognition engines. How You Will Benefit (I) Insights, and validations about the following topics: Chapter 1: Intelligent word recognition Chapter 2: Optical character recognition Chapter 3: Handwriting recognition Chapter 4: Optical mark recognition Chapter 5: Intelligent character recognition Chapter 6: Document processing Chapter 7: Automatic identification and data capture Chapter 8: Noisy text analytics Chapter 9: Forms processing Chapter 10: Handwritten biometric recognition (II) Answering the public top questions about intelligent word recognition. (III) Real world examples for the usage of intelligent word recognition in many fields. (IV) 17 appendices to explain, briefly, 266 emerging technologies in each industry to have 360-degree full understanding of intelligent word recognition' technologies. Who This Book Is For Professionals, undergraduate and graduate students, enthusiasts, hobbyists, and those who want to go beyond basic knowledge or information for any kind of intelligent word recognition.

ZEUS (Centres of European Supercomputing) is a network for information exchange and co-operation between European Supercomputer Centres. During the fall of 1994 the idea was put forward to start an annual workshop to stimulate the exchange of ideas and experience in parallel programming and computing between researchers and users from industry and academia. The first workshop in this series, the ZEUS '95 Workshop on Parallel Programming and Computation, is organized at Linkoping University, where the Swedish ZEUS centre, NSC (National Supercomputer Centre) is located. This is open for all researchers and users in the field of parallel computing.

Optical Character Recognition Systems for Different Languages with Soft Computing by Arindam Chaudhuri,Krupa Mandaviya,Pratixa Badelia,Soumya K Ghosh Pdf

The book offers a comprehensive survey of soft-computing models for optical character recognition systems. The various techniques, including fuzzy and rough sets, artificial neural networks and genetic algorithms, are tested using real texts written in different languages, such as English, French, German, Latin, Hindi and Gujrati, which have been extracted by publicly available datasets. The simulation studies, which are reported in details here, show that soft-computing based modeling of OCR systems performs consistently better than traditional models. Mainly intended as state-of-the-art survey for postgraduates and researchers in pattern recognition, optical character recognition and soft computing, this book will be useful for professionals in computer vision and image processing alike, dealing with different issues related to optical character recognition.

Intelligent Automation by Marie Myers,Carol Brace,Lila Carden Pdf

Since prehistoric times, humans have invented ways to simplify daily activities to improve productivity. The most recent milestone in this journey is robotic process automation (RPA), helping to build software robots that can be leveraged to automate mundane and repetitive tasks that can be labor-intensive and prone to errors. In recent years, RPA has been integrated with emerging artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies to create what is referred to as intelligent automation (IA), emulating human actions and decision-making abilities. This book addresses the critical questions about the rise, usage, and future of IA practices. This book is structured by general personas considered as its primary target audience, ranging from: Early-stage practitioners seeking to learn effective management of IA programs Established IA practitioners seeking to drive maturity and scale Business leaders seeking to understand how to drive business value using IA Practitioners or academicians seeking to collaborate This book is strongly recommended for practitioners seeking to plan, implement, and scale IA practices in their organization and for researchers and students who intend to study strategy, implementation, and management of IA practice to accelerate the digital transformation agenda.

Personal Intelligent User Interfaces 2008 by Markus Fischer Pdf

Inhaltsangabe:Abstract: The evolution of computing and communication is on the fast track - its impact on work and life style is immense and carries with it vast social and economical implications for both individuals and enterprises. Advances in wireless and broadband technologies and trends such as pervasive networks, fixed-mobile convergence, seamless communication and sensor networks will have a broader impact and an even more profound influence on the way we live than the personal computer, PDA, cellular phone and Internet had from 1995-2005. Always on and ubiquity , the credos of today's ICT market, have already become customer demands. Under constrain to satisfy these demands, generate new service revenues, and retain higher percentages of existing customers worldwide, operating telecommunication companies have to break new ground. Personalization is considered a key differentiator in the increasingly competitive landscape. With the increasing proliferation of service types and features, a personal intelligent user interface will enable higher customer utility and also make new service scenarios possible. The main problem areas discussed in this thesis are technology forecast and usability evaluation of a new technology. Two well known quotations as follows will introduce the problem of technology forecasting. This 'telephone' has too many shortcomings to be seriously considered as a means of communication. The device is inherently of no value to us. A more contemporary the following statement by William Gates III from 1981: 640Kbyte ought to be enough for anybody. These statements might cause amazement, especially considering the fact that both companies are still in business. Admittedly, as the telephone replaced the telegraph, money transfer became the Western Union Telegraph Company's primary line of business. However, this begs the question how such companies were even capable of surviving such major misjudgements regarding their strategic technology alignment. Generally speaking, the only possible strategies were changing the focus of their business (as was the case with Western Union), simply getting lucky or, alternatively, having enough money to assimilate the missing technology through purchases. But it can t be the goal of a global player to miss or loose millions and, in the case of a small firm, to go out of business simply because the chief executive or the person in charge misdiagnosed strategic technology [...]
