The Warrior Diet by Ori Hofmekler Pdf

Along with the many benefits of leisure-class living comes obesity and its attendant ailments. In The Warrior Diet, Ori Hofmekler looks not forward but backward for a solution–to the primal habits of early cultures such as nomads and hunter-gatherers, the Greeks, and the Romans. Based on survival science, this book proposes not ordinary dietary changes but rather a radical yet surprisingly simple lifestyle overhaul. Drawing on both scientific studies and historical data, Hofmekler argues that robust health and a lean, strong body can best be achieved by mimicking the classical warrior mode of cycling—working and eating sparingly (undereating) during the day and filling up at night. Specific elements from the Warrior Diet Nutritional Program (finding ideal fuel foods and food combinations to reduce body fat) to the Controlled Fatigue Training Program (promoting strength, speed, and resilience to fatigue through special drills), literally reshape body and mind. Individual chapters cover warrior meals and recipes; sex drive, potency, and animal magnetism; as well as personalizing the diet for women. Featuring forewords by Fit for Life author Harvey Diamond and Fat That Kills author Dr. Udo Erasmus, The Warrior Diet shows readers weary of fad diets how to attain enduring vigor, explosive strength, a better appearance, and increased vitality and health.

The Intermittent Fasting Revolution by Mark P. Mattson Pdf

How intermittent fasting can enhance resilience, improve mental and physical performance, and protect against aging and disease. Most of us eat three meals a day with a smattering of snacks because we think that’s the normal, healthy way to eat. This book shows why that’s not the case. The human body and brain evolved to function well in environments where food could be obtained only intermittently. When we look at the eating patterns of our distant ancestors, we can see that an intermittent fasting eating pattern is normal—and eating three meals a day is not. In The Intermittent Fasting Revolution, prominent neuroscientist Mark Mattson shows that intermittent fasting is not only normal but also good for us; it can enhance our ability to cope with stress by making cells more resilient. It also improves mental and physical performance and protects against aging and disease. Intermittent fasting is not the latest fad diet; it doesn’t dictate food choice or quantity. It doesn’t make money for the pharmaceutical, processed food, or health care industries. Intermittent fasting is an eating pattern that includes frequent periods of time with little or negligible amounts of food. It is often accompanied by weight loss, but, Mattson says, studies show that its remarkable beneficial effects cannot be accounted for by weight loss alone. Mattson—whose pioneering research uncovered the ways that the brain responds to fasting and exercise—explains how thriving while fasting became an evolutionary adaptation. He describes the specific ways that intermittent fasting slows aging; reduces the risk of diseases, including obesity, Alzheimer’s, and diabetes; and improves both brain and body performance. He also offers practical advice on adopting an intermittent fasting eating pattern as well as information for parents and physicians.

2, 4, 6, Eat by Stephanie O'Dea Pdf

When I first heard of intermittent fasting, through a Pinterest post in 2017, I assumed that it, too, was going to be a waste of my time and that it was pretty much just a "starvation diet."I've done those in the past -- and was miserable every step of the way. Also? From my own experience and those of my friends, starvation diets didn't work. That said, I am and-always-have-been a sucker for the next new and shiny diet plan... so I gave it a try for 3 days. (PS: this is usually how I do things. I go all on board for 3 days and then I crash and burn....)Anyhow, I didn't do a lick of research before diving straight in with a 4 hour eating window that I decided should only be between 12 noon and 4 pm. I decided that I was going to have coffee with a bit of "spackle" (powdered creamer) in it for breakfast and chicken broth for lunch. Any time I felt hungry through the day (and it was ALL DAY hunger), I would have a cup of Bengal Spice (cinnamon-flavored) tea or a mug of chicken broth. In my eating window I would eat a "healthy dinner" of about 1000 calories. I didn't allow myself to have any sugar or anything "fun" to eat. I white-knuckled it through my 3 days. I now know what I did wrong, and how if you do it correctly, intermittent fasting is actually pretty darn easy to stick with in the long term. I've now been at it for over a year, and the stubborn 10 pounds that have plagued me my entire adult life have slowly disappeared and stayed away.I get it that this sounds way too good to be true and you're likely to be skeptical. If you want to get into more of the science-y stuff of how this all works without simply being a "starvation diet" then I urge you to do some research on your own. If you are still with me, this is how you do it.

Intermittent Fasting 16/8 by Geena Moore Pdf

Do you want to lose weight through Intermittent Fasting? If yes, then keep reading! Many people have the wrong idea about fasting; they think that it is about starving and food deprivation. Starving is a situation whereby a person has no access or choice of food, and it is not in their power to eat them. Fasting is a choice, while starvation is not; depriving you of food has absolutely no health benefits, unlike fasting. Our reaction, thinking, and general task operation are boosted by fasting. Heavy meals almost always leave you feeling tired and make you respond to things slowly without putting much thought; this will make you want to sleep. This strange phenomenon happens as a lot of blood leaves your brain and goes into your digestive system, causing your body to relax as digestion takes place. This activity can be quite harmful to your overall health when it happens regularly. Fasting prevents this from happening and always makes you have a lot of energy. Though fasting is very beneficial, it may not be for you. If you are not strong enough or have any severe health problems, it is advisable to seek medical advice from a professional before trying a fasting regimen. Fasting, intermittent fasting should not be mistaken for a diet; it is a meal-planning schedule to improve your life. This Book Covers: Introduction to Intermittent Fasting 16/8 Basic Mechanisms and Advantages Intermittent Fasting Different Models and 16/8 Theory of Intermittent Fasting 16/8 and How It Works on Metabolism Weight Loss Through Intermittent Fasting 16/8 Potential Health Benefits of Intermittent Fasting 16/8 Who Should Avoid the Intermittent Fasting 16/8? Think about it; all you have to do is to make sure your body gets into a fasted state by skipping certain meals and then resume eating normally when the eating window comes. And for a 50 year old and above who is at the height of menopause, where there is reducing production of FSH, and LH, hormones responsible for regulating reducing levels of estrogen, progesterone as well as testosterone, trying anything that pushes your hormones further outside their balance can seem counterproductive.
