Learning the ABCs by Rev. David M. Brown Pdf

Learning the ABCs: Apologetics, the Bible, and Creation is a source of information that has taken the author nearly forty-four years to accumulate. The word apologetics comes from the Greek word apologia, which means "one capable of a strong defense." This book offers that ability to every reader, to become a strong defender. That strong defense is against those who would have us disbelieve in the Bible stories, events, prophecies, and overall accuracy of the Bible. Archaeology has progressed tremendously in the last seventy years, especially in the field of biblical archaeology. It's estimated that there are now over 6,500 discoveries in this field, verifying, illuminating, or bearing evidence for many of the people, places, stories, and events mentioned in the Bible. Yet when I ask most Christians to name three, they cannot. The same thing is now being found in science. There are vast amounts of discoveries, most coming from secular science, proving the fallibility and inaccuracies of evolution and the big bang. Tremendous evidence is coming forth in genetics proving dinosaurs are less than ten thousand years old, genetics proving man being here only about six to seven thousand years, that we didn't evolve from monkeys over millions of years, and more. Yet most Christians are not privy to this information. Hosea 4:6 says, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." I find this true. Many cannot defend their Bible, nor lead others to believe in it. This book teaches how to witness and make disciples with valid evidences for the Bible, while tearing down the walls of evolution.

The ABCs of Human Survival by Arthur Clark Pdf

The ABCs of Human Survival examines the effect of militant nationalism and the lawlessness of powerful states on the well-being of individuals, local communities, and global citizenship. Based on the analysis of world events, Dr. Arthur Clark presents militant nationalism as a pathological pattern of thinking that threatens our security, while emphasizing effective democracy and international law as indispensable frameworks for human protection. Within the contexts of history, sociology, philosophy, and spirituality, The ABCs of Human Survival calls into question the assumptions of consumer culture and offers, as an alternative, strategies to improve overall well-being through the important choices we make as individuals.

The Church History ABCs by Stephen J. Nichols,Ned Bustard Pdf

Dramatically converted on the stormy seas, a slave-trader-turned-abolitionist penned the best-loved hymn of the Christian faith. A church father was arrested and martyred for teaching the truth about Christ’s incarnation. Captured by pirates and shipped off to Ireland, a priest baptized thousands of pagans, from paupers to princes. Now who ever said church history was boring? The Church History ABCs is a fun way for kids to learn about great figures in Christian history. Twenty-six heroes of the faith march through the alphabet, boldly telling their stories in language children can understand. This wide range of characters—men and women from across the centuries, from all over the globe—reflects the breadth of church history and reminds children that these great figures of the past were living, breathing people who lived and died for the glory of God.

Why Do Women Tailgate by Ronald L. Conkle Pdf

"So you are suggesting, what? That men do not tailgate?" an observer asked. "No. He's not suggesting any such thing," another observer interjected. "But let's be clear, at least in my opinion, tailgating is failing to have an assured clear stopping distance from the vehicle in front of you." Another observer, a woman, stated that she almost always tailgates in late evenings because it is dark and is often the only one of only two or three vehicles on that dark, lonely roadway. For her it is about a real need to tailgate, to be close. So why do women tailgate? The simple reason for their tailgating behavior is that they are selfish. The not-so-simple reason for their tailgating behavior is that they are egoistic. The tailgater's desire flowing from her volitional behavior is egoistic if, and only if, it is something that interests her because it is important or affects her and it reasonably benefits her to the exclusion of everyone else. However, the philosopher Spinoza suggested that ethical egoism is a behavior in which everyone ought to seek their own advantage. Why do women tailgate? The philosopher Epicurus suggested that ethics is a form of egoistic hedonism, in that the only thing that is intrinsically valuable is one's own pleasure; anything else that has value is valuable merely to securing pleasure for oneself. Another observer said, "Perhaps, because something within her is sending bad or confusing signals. I am suggesting that those tailgating drivers may be getting mixed or confusing cellular signals. That is, in relation to their extracellular matrix, which is a collection of sugars, proteins, as well as other molecules, which is a place where signals affecting cell progression and mental process resurge."
