The Isa, also the Isavasya Upanishad be, It from the Yajur Veda (Vajasaneyi) truly; It teaches of God, world essential unity, And of being and becoming very clearly; It not so interested in Absolute in self be, As in the Absolute in relation to world be; It teaches that the life in this world but be, Not incompatible to life in Divine Spirit truly; Who beholds all beings in Self, Self in all be, Never turns away from the Self - its part be.
See God in all. To Him belong all know, renounce and rejoice Seek not to possess, nothing is yours. This short spiritual treatise of just eighteen mantras has inspired great minds for ages. Chapters in Sukla Yajurveda, the teachings here point out the Self-the divine essence-in every one of us. A crisp summary of the Vedanta, this Upanisad shows us the way to rise above all our attachments to the finite objects of this world. The glittering sense objects, the sweetest emotions and even the lofty ideals of human life are but a golden disk, covering the face of the Truth. We must avoid all traps of wonderful work (karma, avidya) or charming thought patterns (upasana, vidya) and seek the pure knowledge. The holy text permits the use of a healthy blend of lower spiritual practices as a stepping stone to the hightest realization. The scripture concludes with some sublime prayers of an advanced seeker.
That is full. This is full. From the full, comes the full. Remove the full from the full and what remains? The full. Thus begins the Isha Upanishad, one of the most profound ancient books of faith. Mahatma Gandhi had famously said that if all scriptures happened all of a sudden to be reduced to ashes and only the first verse of the Isha Upanishad was left in our memory, Hinduism would live for ever. But this Upanishad goes beyond all faith, all religion to help all people look within and without themselves to answer the questions that have swirled in and round them since the dawn of civilization. That is the spirit in which Pritish Nandy, renowned poet, painter and filmmaker, has produced this sparkling new translation from the original Sanskrit, and Sunandini Banerjee, accomplished artist and designer, has illustrated it with her unique graphic art. While the text reveals man’s relationship with nature and God, the artworks explore it, alluding to creations both divine and human. Together they manifest the thread that connects all that exists, together they chronicle mankind’s search for the true meaning of life. There is no metaphysics here, no religion. Just pure, simple, deep wisdom.

Everyone follows Mypath in all respects, O son of Pṛthâ." Upanishad Vahini by Sri Sathya Sai Media Centre Pdf
Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba has come among humanity and is providing spiritual sustenance and guidance, in order to re-establish truth, justice, peace, and love as the mainspring of individual, social, and national life. He is using ancient and modern instruments for this great task, Sanathana Dharma and science. His writings, discourses, and conversations, which correct, communicate, and convince, are full of statements and commentaries on the discoveries of physical and metaphysical sciences. This book, which gives in English His articles (first published in Telugu in the Sanathana Sarathi) on the Ten Upanishads (invaluable textbooks on spiritual discipline and on the glorious fruit of spiritual adventure) will reveal to you the vast limitless mercy that impels Him to save us from trivialities and prompts Him to guide us along, until we reach the Goal of Life. Making us tread the path discovered by the sages of the past, inducing us to revere their light and their message, illumining in us the flame of knowledge, which dispels delusion —that is what Bhagawan, with His Supreme Love, does for us in this book. Let us read it with care, recapitulate it with earnestness in the silence of our hearts, and practise it with humility and faith in every turn of thought, in every tilt of tongue, and in every digit of deed.
The Upanishads act as some kind of circuit-breakers. You live in your own contained world, and because the world is self-contained and self-ratified, therefore there is no way any element inside your world is ever going to disrupt your world or call it out as false. The Upanishads mischievously show you a contradiction, and now you are flabbergasted because one contradiction is enough to bring down your entire mental palace. A thousand things are not sufficient to verify the truth, but one exception is enough to nullify the truth. Is it not so? After all, what is the Truth? That which continues without interruption and without exception, right? That is the Truth. This is a ladder between two dimensions, and that's the task of the Upanishad or the teacher. The world of the mind is being helped to meet the Transcendental.
The Upanishads--II : Kena And Other Upanishads by Sri Aurobindo Pdf
The Upanishads has now been expanded and brought out in two volumes, with much new material published for the first time in book form. The single volume The Upanishads has been discontinued, with all its content included in the two new volumes, each available as an independent book. The Kena Upanishad is concerned with the relation of mind-consciousness to Brahman-consciousness , writes Sri Aurobindo in his commentary on this work. The material world and the physical life exist for us only by virtue of our internal self and our internal life. According as our mental instruments represent to us the external world, according as our vital force in obedience to the mind deals with its impacts and objects, so will be our outward life and existence. Along with Sri Aurobindo's final translation of and commentary on the Kena, this book includes his translations of six other Upanishads as well as several other translations and commentaries, and essays such as 'The Philosophy of the Upanishads'.
