Jesus of Arabia by Andrew Thompson Pdf

In Jesus of Arabia, the Reverend Canon Andrew Thompson introduces an unfamiliar Jesus—Jesus in the context of his home in the Middle East. Whether readers believe Jesus to be a prophet or the messiah, Thompson enhances our understanding of his work and character by looking at his social context as a man and Middle Easterner. Jesus’s teachings take on new meaning as Thompson explores themes including family in Arabia, gender roles in the region, food culture, and more. Jesus of Arabia looks at the bridges between Islam and Christianity through the figure of Jesus and how the two communities may reflect each other despite their differences. Thompson draws on his experience as a priest in the Anglican Church and his many years living in the Middle East to analyze the often conflicting roles and loyalties concerning family, culture, and God. A timely and incisive work, Jesus of Arabia invites us to consider contemporary views of the Middle East and how a figure like Jesus might be received today.

Women Who Risk by Tom Doyle,JoAnn Doyle Pdf

Explore the incredible work of the Lord in the hearts and lives of women in the Muslim world! In these gripping stories of Christ's presence straight from the underground church, Pastor Tom Doyle and his wife, JoAnn, show you how women in Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Iran are leading their communities to faith in Jesus—and how you can too! Despite enormous risks to themselves and their families, former Muslim women are now influencing their husbands and their children and bringing others to faith in Jesus Christ. No matter where they live, these women are the God-ordained spiritual gatekeepers of their families. Even though the level of oppression that women face under Islam is unfathomable to many in non-Muslim nations, these brave women stop at nothing to share their faith. The Doyles believe that women are a major reason why more Muslims than ever are coming to faith in Christ. Over the years they have discovered that once God sets a Muslim woman free, she becomes an unstoppable force for God. Women Who Risk takes readers into Muslim homes in Saudi Arabia, Syria, Iran, and other hot spots to see the power of Christ at work. This incredible book contains: Inspirational stories straight out of the underground church—stories you don’t get on the news Examples of the miraculous works of God happening in the Muslim world The experiences of pastors who have worked for the past twenty-five years in the Middle East A clear call to action sounding the alarm to the body of Christ Motivation for all Christians to boldly share their faith with family and friends The stories of these women are both breathtaking and heart-rending. Living on the edge, these women spread the gospel without fear, and the victory of the gospel is thrilling for all to see. If you’re wondering if God still performs miracles or are afraid your life can't make an impact, then this is the book for you.

The Islamic Jesus by Mustafa Akyol Pdf

“A welcome expansion of the fragile territory known as common ground.” —The New York Times When Reza Aslan’s bestseller Zealot came out in 2013, there was criticism that he hadn’t addressed his Muslim faith while writing the origin story of Christianity. In fact, Ross Douthat of The New York Times wrote that “if Aslan had actually written in defense of the Islamic view of Jesus, that would have been something provocative and new.” Mustafa Akyol’s The Islamic Jesus is that book. The Islamic Jesus reveals startling new truths about Islam in the context of the first Muslims and the early origins of Christianity. Muslims and the first Christians—the Jewish followers of Jesus—saw Jesus as not divine but rather as a prophet and human Messiah and that salvation comes from faith and good works, not merely as faith, as Christians would later emphasize. What Akyol seeks to reveal are how these core beliefs of Jewish Christianity, which got lost in history as a heresy, emerged in a new religion born in 7th Arabia: Islam. Akyol exposes this extraordinary historical connection between Judaism, Jewish Christianity and Islam—a major mystery unexplored by academia. From Jesus’ Jewish followers to the Nazarenes and Ebionites to the Qu’ran’s stories of Mary and Jesus, The Islamic Jesus will reveal links between religions that seem so contrary today. It will also call on Muslims to discover their own Jesus, at a time when they are troubled by their own Pharisees and Zealots.

Jesus Christ Is Almighty God and Salvation from the Lake of Fire. by Stanley O. Lotegeluaki Pdf

JESUS DIED INSTEAD OF YOU. HE WAS PUNISHED FOR YOUR SINS AS YOUR SUBSITUTE. INSTEAD OF YOU BEING PUNISHED, HE WAS PUNISHED SO YOU COULD WALK AWAY FREE. HE WAS THE SINLESS LAMB SACRIFICED FOR ALL PEOPLE, NO MATTER WHAT SIN YOU'VE COMMITTED. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS BELIEVE THAT JESUS IS THE SALVATION FROM BEING BURNED ALIVE FOREVER IN THE LAKE OF FIRE, AND YOU ARE SAVED. THE LAKE OF FIRE IS THE CORE OF THE IMPLODED UNIVERSE OF FIERY STARS AND HOT GALAXIES MELTED TOGETHER AS EINSTEIN , JESUS , PETER AND PAUL SAID WILL HAPPEN. HOW COULD AN ANCIENT DOCUMENT LIKE THE BIBLE TALK ABOUT THE COLLAPSE OF THE UNIVERSE, MATTERS THAT SCIENCE IS JUST GRAPPLING WITH TODAY? MATHEW 24:35, LUKE 21:33 II PETER 3:7,12. JUST BELIEVE IN JESUS. JOHN 3:14-18 14. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15. That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. JOEL 2:32 "AND IT SHALL COME TO PASS, THAT WHOSOEVER SHALL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALL BE DELIVERED: FOR IN MOUNT ZION AND JERUSALEM SHALL BE DELIVERANCE, AS THE LORD HATH SAID, AND IN THE REMNANT WHOM THE LORD SHALL CALL." Credits: King James Bible Public Domain Referenced with KJV BIBLE Note that the Bible said Zion, not Islam, or Buddha or Hindi, but in Zion shall be salvation or you will be burned in the Lake of fire, the Bible, Jesus and Einstein talked about. The Bible and Einstein agree. This is your last warning. Seek Jesus who is Almighty God.

Galatians by N. T. Wright Pdf

The first major biblical commentary from the pen of N. T. Wright While full of theological import, Paul’s letter to the Galatians also captures and memorializes a significant moment in the early history of Christianity. This commentary from N. T. Wright—the inaugural volume of the CCF series—offers a theological interpretation of Galatians that never loses sight of the political concerns of its historical context. With these two elements of the letter in dialogue with each other, readers can understand both what Paul originally meant and how his writing might be faithfully used to respond to present questions. Each section of verse-by-verse commentary in this volume is followed by Wright’s reflections on what the text says about Christian formation today, making this an excellent resource for individual readers and those preparing to teach or preach on Galatians. The focus on formation is especially appropriate for this biblical letter, in which Paul wrote to his fellow early Christians, “My children—I seem to be in labor with you all over again, until the Messiah is fully formed in you!”

Who Was Jesus? by Kamal Salibi Pdf

An extraordinary and provocative examination of one of history's great unsolved mysteries: who - or what - was Jesus? The Gospels provide no direct answers and both the life of Jesus as it has been recorded for us and the teachings and activities of the Apostles are surrounded by baffling contradictions and inconsistencies. Salibi invites the reader to join him on a voyage of historical discovery to determine the true identity of the founder of Christianity. Where did Jesus really come from? Why do the Gospels pass over the greater part of his life? What of the principle founders of the Christian Church, St Peter and St Paul? It is known that after his conversion Paul went directly to Arabia rather than journeying to the apparent source and seat of the Christian movement, Jerusalem. Why? What did Paul discover in Arabia? What was the real source of tension and friction between Paul and Peter? What did Paul know about the real Jesus story, which Peter at all costs wanted to keep hidden? What deal was eventually struck between them? No reader can fail to be carried along by the tantalising search for clues as Salibi attempts to unravel history's best-kept secret – the true identity of Jesus.

Paul and the Synoptic Jesus Tradition by Heinz Hiestermann Pdf

This study compares the Jesus traditions in Paul's genuine letters to the synoptic Jesus tradition. The aim is to identify parallels between Jesus traditions in the Pauline letters and synoptic Gospels and to determine whether the wording of the Pauline Jesus traditions is closer to any particular synoptic Gospel or Q. Paul's quotes of words of the Lord (1 Cor 7:10–11; 9:14; 11:23–25) as well as possible allusions to Jesus traditions in Paul's letters are investigated and compared to similar synoptic sayings of Jesus. Allusions to Jesus traditions in 1 Thessalonians and Romans are revisited. Special attention is paid to possible allusions in Galatians. The findings show that Paul does make use of Jesus traditions resembling those of the synoptics, particularly the Gospel of Matthew.
