There are 16 million Americans who have a job because of agriculture and there is even more that we can do. Even as we look at the challenges of the last decade, certainly in my State, agriculture continued to grow, and this is a very, very important part of our economy. Manufacturing accounts for roughly a quarter of rural private sector earnings and accounts for more than one in ten rural jobs, as well.
