Killing Christians by Tom Doyle,Gref Webster Pdf

Could you retain your faith even if it meant losing your life? Your family’s lives? To many Christians in the Middle East today, a “momentary, light affliction” means enduring only torture instead of martyrdom. The depth of oppression Jesus followers suffer is unimaginable to most Western Christians. Yet, it is an everyday reality for those who choose faith over survival in Syria, Iran, Egypt, Lebanon, and other countries hostile to the Gospel of Christ. InKilling Christians, Tom Doyle takes readers to the secret meetings, the torture rooms, the grim prisons, and even the executions that are the “calling” of countless Muslims-turned-Christians. Each survivor longs to share with brothers and sisters “on the outside” what Christ has taught them. Killing Christians is their message to readers who still enjoy freedom to practice their faith. None would wish their pain and suffering on those who do not have to brave such misery, but the richness gained through their remarkable trials are delivered—often in their own words—through this book. The stories are breathtaking, the lessons soul-stirring and renewing. Killing Christians presents the dead serious work of expanding and maintaining the Faith.

Are Christians Killing Christianity by Travis Hagewood Pdf

This book was written with the intention of opening the eyes of today's Christians and teaching them to be more Christlike. In the past twenty years, there has been a huge decline in those who profess to be Christian, and this book lays out five of the top reasons why. I did not go into great detail on every one of these issues but more to open the eyes of Christians and make them aware of the problems. In future books, I will dive deep into these issues, starting with judgmentalism. Each one of these issues could make for books of its own and much longer than this introduction. We have pushed so many away from Christ because we thought it was our job to judge them. However, that isn't even close to what Jesus taught or how he acted. Our job is simply to be the light that brings others closer to Jesus, to fulfill the great commission. So many see us as prudish judgmental hypocrites, and far too often, they are right. We need to bring things back to the basics and do our best not to beat people over the head with our bibles. It's great that we know all of these verses, and there's a verse for everything, but let them come to us, and then we can openly share our testimony with them. For nobody has ever been shamed into a life change, but millions have been loved into them. We all have our roles to play. God is the creator, Jesus is the judge, the Holy Spirit repairs the souls, and we are to be the light that brings others to the Lord. My prayer is that after reading this book, Christians will learn to take a long look in the mirror and make corrections where necessary so that they can be the loving and caring Christians Christ intended them to be.

The Early Church on Killing by Ronald J. Sider Pdf

What did the early church believe about killing? What was its view on abortion? How did it approach capital punishment and war? Noted theologian and bestselling author Ron Sider lets the testimony of the early church speak in the first of a three-volume series on biblical peacemaking. This book provides in English translation all extant data directly relevant to the witness of the early church until Constantine on killing. Primarily, it draws data from early church writings, but other evidence, such as archaeological finds and Roman writings, is included. Sider taps into current evangelical interest in how the early church informs contemporary life while presenting a thorough, comprehensive treatment on topics of perennial concern. The book includes brief introductions to every Christian writer cited and explanatory notes on many specific texts.

American Christians and Islam by Thomas S. Kidd Pdf

In the wake of the September 11 terrorist attacks, many of America's Christian evangelicals have denounced Islam as a "demonic" and inherently violent religion, provoking frustration among other Christian conservatives who wish to present a more appealing message to the world's Muslims. Yet as Thomas Kidd reveals in this sobering book, the conflicted views expressed by today's evangelicals have deep roots in American history. Tracing Islam's role in the popular imagination of American Christians from the colonial period to today, Kidd demonstrates that Protestant evangelicals have viewed Islam as a global threat--while also actively seeking to convert Muslims to the Christian faith--since the nation's founding. He shows how accounts of "Mahometan" despotism and lurid stories of European enslavement by Barbary pirates fueled early evangelicals' fears concerning Islam, and describes the growing conservatism of American missions to Muslim lands up through the post-World War II era. Kidd exposes American Christians' anxieties about an internal Islamic threat from groups like the Nation of Islam in the 1960s and America's immigrant Muslim population today, and he demonstrates why Islam has become central to evangelical "end-times" narratives. Pointing to many evangelicals' unwillingness to acknowledge Islam's theological commonalities with Christianity and their continued portrayal of Islam as an "evil" and false religion, Kidd explains why Christians themselves are ironically to blame for the failure of evangelism in the Muslim world. American Christians and Islam is essential reading for anyone seeking to understand the causes of the mounting tensions between Christians and Muslims today.

Dear Christians: Christ Sins by Mohamed Moussa Ghounem Pdf

Love verses hate, God verses Satan, Islam verse Christianity, Muslim Jesus verses Christian Jesus. Christians are taught that Muslims hate Jesus, therefore Muslims are children of Satan. The opposite is True, Muslims Love Jesus, and as this book will detail, the Jesus Christians follow: “Christ” is the son of Satan. Therefore Christians hate God’s Jesus because instead they choose to follow Satan’s Christ. The crossroads between God’s Jesus and Satan’s Christ is the crucifixion. God Saved Jesus from the Cross as Islam Teaches, whereas Satan wants Christians to believe that Christ was Killed on the cross. This is the main difference between Islam Verse Christianity and God Verses Satan. If Jesus is a flesh god that died on the cross to remove all human sin, then rose again to life as Christians Teach, then this Christ Produces Seven Deadly Sins, Just as Satan wants. The Muslim teaching of Jesus is that God loves Jesus and therefore Saved Jesus from death on the Cross and that Jesus is the Messiah, not a flesh god. Therefore the Muslim Jesus is Loved and Saved and Counters Satan’s Christ, Cleansing the Seven Deadly Sins of Christ.

Bible Problems Solved by Early Christians by David W. T. Brattston Pdf

This book deals with questions or problems encountered in the Bible where answers can be found in the ante-Nicene fathers. The fathers were uniquely qualified by being close in time and culture to Christ himself, when his unwritten teachings and Scripture interpretations, and those of the apostles, were still fresh in Christian memory. It is designed for sincere readers of the Bible who may from time to time be puzzled by the occasional passage which seems out-of-step with the rest of the Scriptures or our usual impression of Christian teaching. This work is written for individual and group Bible students without advanced theological qualifications, rather than the intellectual market. It is written for use in Bible studies in local congregations, or church history classes, especially in sessions when the pastor or teacher is unable to attend. Bible Problems Solved by Early Christians is different from almost all other works and ministries, which give solutions to problems or questions, because the answers in the book come not from a modern-day comparison of different verses within the Bible itself or from the interpretations of any particular religious denomination, but from Christian writers who lived in the first centuries after Jesus.

Jews and Christians Together by A. Christian van Gorder,Gordon Fuller Pdf

Rabbi Gordon Fuller and Dr. Christian van Gorder are committed to helping people of both faith traditions gain, as far as is possible, a participant’s appreciation of those from the other community. This means addressing misconceptions and misrepresentations as well as challenging widely held assumptions. Jews and Christians Together delves into the strained relationship between these two faith communities and exposes why these communities need to come to a better understanding and appreciation of the other. Events such as the attack on the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania demonstrate why society must address and foil anti-Semitism and anti-Judaism wherever and whenever such views appear. The efforts of Fuller and van Gorder to explore these issues with their own faith communities can provide a helpful starting-point to confront trends of increasing hate and bigotry towards Jews today. Fuller and van Gorder ask us to acknowledge the marred history of Christianity and anti-Semitism, so that we can explore healthy Jewish-Christian dialogue and gain a shared and constructive mutual respect.

The Islamic War on Christians by Peter Riga Pdf

In some 31 short chapters (182 pages) the author attempts to show why there is such intolerance of Christianity in almost every majority Muslim country in the Islamic world. There is no such persecution of Islam in the West which lives under Judeo-Christian values with respect and tolerance for Islam. The contrasts is startling. Why is this so? Even in the West through acts of terrorism and other forms of stealth jihad, there is a whole movement to convert the West to Islam if not by violent jihad (holy war) then by stealth jihad (a slow integration of sharia (Muslim holy law) into the West under guise of religious freedom offered in the West. This conflict is global in nature, violent in Muslim countries, non violent in the West. This conflict seems to be a one way street with Muslims attacking Christians while Christians seem to offer little or no resistance. This must change if there is to be true peace in this world. But first there must be a realization of this war on Christians by Islam and why this is so. This book attempts to do just that.

Spiritual Unity of Jews and Christians by Vladimir Minkov Pdf

The history of the Western civilization is a transformation from the pagan morality to the God-given morality of Judaism, of Christianity and then of Judeo-Christian civilization as we know it now with the Jewish mission of the Chosen with the Torah as the instructions for replacing the pagan morality, under which the humans lived at the beginning. The pagan morality is based on enhancing ?my wellbeing? by defeating ?my neighbor? with the help of ?my god? if I bribe enough ?my god, ? while the God's Torah-guided morality is based on enhancing ?my wellbeing? by cooperating with ?my neighbor, ? and One God will help me to achieve all that if I follow his guidance. The spiritual unity of Jews and Christians is explored, based on the common Torah/Bible-guided Judeo-Christian morality ? not on different religious rituals and beliefs created by the priests of Judaism and Christianity. That is and many other related things what this book is discussing.

Shame on Us Christians by Kevin Turnbaugh Pdf

Kevin Turnbaugh is a logistics management specialist for the US Army at New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. His work is performed, and this book was written, on a computer equipped with screen reader software that allows the blind to hear what is shown on the screen and input the data or words, using keystroke functions instead of the mouse. It is from his more than twenty-five years of service as a civilian in the army and from his numerous years of exposure to the ministry that Kevin has become the source of information on current affairs in our country and churches, attitudes surrounding those areas of life, and the threats to our freedoms as Christians. It is from these areas of work and ministry exposure that Kevin has developed the background for his two previous books, Time Witnessing and Critical Condition, as well as the information and contents of this book. By using the Ten Commandments provided to Moses and to us today, he brings forth the how and why of living as a Christian and considers where all of us fail, including his own failings and shortcomings.
