King's Dethroned by Gerrard Hickson Pdf

In the year 1907 the author made a remarkable discovery which convinced him that the sun was very much nearer to the earth than was generally supposed. The fact he had discovered was demonstrated beyond all doubt, so that he was compelled to believe thatÑhowever improbable it might seemÑastronomers had made a mistake when they estimated the distance of the sun to be ninety-three millions of miles. The author has taken the unusual course of submitting these new and startling theories for the consideration of the general public because the responsible scientific societies in London, Washington and Paris, failed to deal with the detailed accounts of the work which he forwarded to them in the Spring of 1920. He believes that every newly-discovered truth belongs to the whole of mankind, wherefore, if those whose business it is to consider his work fail in their duty he does not hesitate to bring it himself direct to the people, assured of their goodwill and fair judgment.

Kings Dethroned - A History of the Evolution of Astronomy from the Time of the Roman Empire up to the Present Day by Gerrard Hickson Pdf

Exploring the history of the evolution of astronomy from the Roman Empire to the early twentieth century, Kings Dethroned attempts to debunk scientific facts with Gerrard Hickson’s alternative theories. From Nicolaus Copernicus to Albert Einstein, this 1922 volume tracks the scientific developments in the field of astronomy and traces the ‘mistakes’ made by well-known pioneers and practitioners. Gerrard Hickson begins by questioning the distance from Earth to the sun and suggests that the accepted figure, 93 million miles, is incorrect. He explains that this error is the basis for many other inaccuracies in astronomy. The final chapters of the book try to refute Einstein’s theories, including his Theory of Relativity. The volume features chapters such as: - When the World was Young - Copernicus and Galileo - Giants of Modern Astronomy - The Distance to the Moon - A Galaxy of Blunders - The Birth of a New Astronomy - Einstein's Evidence Proudly republished by Obscure Press, Kings Dethroned is now in a beautiful new edition and would make the perfect gift for those interested in alternative astrology or non-fiction literature concerning Flat Earth theory.

Kings Dethroned by Gerrard Hickson Pdf

At the turn of the twentieth century, Gerrard Hickson stumbled upon a discovery which convinced him of something shocking. The giants of astronomy had miscalculated the distance of the sun from the Earth, it was closer than we ever thought. The popular estimate of approximately ninety-three million miles appeared to be a mistake, as inconceivable as it seemed. Hickson pored through the methods that his predecessors had used to calculate the distance and the accounts of their work, searching for the means to disprove his theory but instead he found a mistake in Dr. Hailey's diurnal method. Invented by Hailey in the nineteenth century and used as a basis for many other calculations about our solar system. We can only imagine that Hickson must have gritted his teeth when he set himself the challenge of proving Dr. Hailey's error. Kings Dethroned is the result of his research, and through his retracing of the steps of astronomers from the Roman Empire all the way up to the present day, we can see an accurate representation of the planets and our sun. Gerrard Hickson, unlike his predecessors, took his findings to the general public and published this book for the consumption of all. Having been rejected or ignored by experts and scientific societies across the western world, he chose to trust in the public. He felt that the truth and his discovery were the wealth of the whole human species and in this modern age it does the reader only good to contemplate the necessity of constant and honest scientific enquiry. Kings Dethroned by Gerrard Hickson Pdf

Gerrard Hickson proposes here a series of alternative theories of astronomy, the place of the Earth and Sun in the universe, and the mathematics of the cosmos. After a revelatory experience, Gerrard Hickson began to dispute the distances involved between the Earth and the Sun. This book broadens and expands its scope, questioning the validity of assumptions in astronomical science. Using the work of the ancient Greek and Roman scientists as a starting point, Hickson takes us through millennia of developments, asserting that the basis of established science is unsound and in need of substantial overhaul. Later chapters are occupied with refuting the theories propagated by physicist Albert Einstein. Conceding that the notion of relativity is clever, Hickson nevertheless posits that it is based on unsound assumptions and is thus invalid. For the author, relativity is ? alongside Newtonian physics and earlier theories of antiquity ? a further step toward the wrongness that defines conventional astronomy.

Kings Dethroned: a History of the Evolution of Astronomy ... Showing It to Be An by Gerrard Hickson Pdf

"In no uncertain terms this work blows apart the Sun centered, Earth a sphere rotating, gravity based heliocentric theory." -Aplanetruth Born in 1874, scientific inquirer Gerrard Hickson in 1922 published the lengthily titled book: "Kings Dethroned: A History of the Evolution of Astronomy from the Time of the Roman Empire Up to the Present Day; Showing it to be an Amazing Series of Blunders Founded Upon an Error Made in the Second Century B.C." In this book Hickson sets out in an allegedly irrefutable manner how throughout history astronomer after astronomer has perpetuated an error committed in the Second Century by using an incorrect method of measuring the distance from Earth to Sun, Moon and planets and how throughout history this has resulted in the necessity of coming up with "preposterous" theories, including heliocentricity, to account for the original erroneous theory. According to a press release by Hicksonia Publishing Co., Hickson's book "contains one of the most momentous messages ever condensed into 112 pages." According to the Boston Globe in an 1989 article, "Gerrard Hickson was nothing if not confident. His 1922 book, 'Kings Dethroned,' promised to show that the history of astronomy was 'an amazing series of blunders founded on an error made in the 2d Century B.C.' It debunked Copernicus, ridiculed Charles Darwin and showed Albert Einstein to be a fool." Albert Ingalls, a former editor of Scientific American who donated the book to MIT in 1940, said the book could be "most charitably designated as unorthodox hypotheses in science." Hickson writes: "In the year 1907 the author made a remarkable discovery which convinced him that the sun was very much nearer to the earth than was generally supposed. "The fact he had discovered was demonstrated beyond all doubt, so that he was compelled to believe that- however improbable it might seem- astronomers had made a mistake when they estimated the distance of the sun to be ninety-three millions of miles. "He then proceeded to examine the means by which the sun's distance had been computed, and found an astounding error in the " Diurnal Method of Measurement by Parallax," which had been invented by Dr. Hailey in the early part of the 19th century, and which was used by Sir David Gill in measuring the distance to the planet Mars in 1877 ; from which he deduced his solar parallax of 8.80. "Seeing that Sir Norman Lockyer had said that the distance to and the dimensions of everything in the firmament except the moon depends upon Sir David Gill's measurement to Mars, the author set himself the tremendous task of proving the error, tracing its consequences up to the present day, and also tracing it backwards to the source from which it sprang. "The result of that research is a most illuminating history of the evolution of astronomy from the time of the Roman Empire up to April 1922 ; which is now placed in the hands of the people in 'Kings Dethroned.' Hickson, founder of the Hicksonian Society, was a lithographer by trade and also a successful "weather prophet" who in 1909 had published a pamphlet "The Winds that Blow," describing the author's theory of the causes of wind ---Hickson's study of the wind is what led to his discovery of the error in the alleged distance of the sun. But he didn't limit his inquiry to the field of wind and astronomy---in 1921 he was also arrested as an unlicensed investigator of Jack the Ripper crimes.

The Flat Earth Trilogy Book of Secrets I by Gregory Lessing Garrett Pdf

This book is an Anthology of Gregory Lessing Garrett's writings and others on the topic of Flat Earth Plane Cosmology of all types, including Enclosed Earth, Hollow Earth, Concave Earth, Infinite Plane Earth, The Enochian Earth Model, etc... The hope is that the ideas expounded in this Flat Earth Trilogy series will provide compelling justifications for the claim that no curvature can be found on the Earth, which points to the empirical conclusion that we live on a plane and not a spinning ball in science fiction outer space. The details regarding the possible topography of the Earth are discussed in depth in this book, but ultimately, the absolute true topography of the Earth is not known by anyone. -Gregory Lessing Garrett
