The Greatest Man Born on Earth by Sri Vishwanath Pdf

For 17 years by the grace of Krishna I got an opportunity to sit at His feet and learn. There was not a moment in my prayers where I desired a single thing to happen in the world. All I wanted was to know Krishna a little bit better everyday. In this process I ended up writing 13 bestselling books including The Secret of Bhagavad Gita. I founded The Bhagavad Gita University and built four systems of self realisation. The Instant Transcendental Formula, Bhagavad Gita Mastery, 10X Moksha and The Vedanta 2 Minute Club. In these 17 years I stuck to reading only four books. Day in day out I read them again and again. It gives me great joy to present the greatest man born on earth which I have curated from these four books. The author of these books has inspired me to put this book in a condensed form. All credit goes to the author of these four books.... Amongst everything I have written and experienced this little book gifted me the maximum joy. I hope you feel the same.... Lets begin...

Krishna: The Man and His Philosophy by Osho Pdf

Krishna is utterly incomparable, he is so unique. Firstly, his uniqueness lies in the fact that although Krishna happened in the ancient past he belongs to the future, is really of the future. Man has yet to grow to that height where he can be a contemporary of Krishna’s. He is still beyond man’s understanding; he continues to puzzle and battle us. Only in some future time will we be able to understand him and appreciate his virtues. And there are good reasons for it.

The Mahabharata of Krishna-Dwaipayana Vyasa (Complete) by Anonymous Pdf

Om! Having bowed down to Narayana and Nara, the most exalted male being, and also to the goddess Saraswati, must the word Jaya be uttered. Ugrasrava, the son of Lomaharshana, surnamed Sauti, well-versed in the Puranas, bending with humility, one day approached the great sages of rigid vows, sitting at their ease, who had attended the twelve years’ sacrifice of Saunaka, surnamed Kulapati, in the forest of Naimisha. Those ascetics, wishing to hear his wonderful narrations, presently began to address him who had thus arrived at that recluse abode of the inhabitants of the forest of Naimisha. Having been entertained with due respect by those holy men, he saluted those Munis (sages) with joined palms, even all of them, and inquired about the progress of their asceticism. Then all the ascetics being again seated, the son of Lomaharshana humbly occupied the seat that was assigned to him. Seeing that he was comfortably seated, and recovered from fatigue, one of the Rishis beginning the conversation, asked him, ‘Whence comest thou, O lotus-eyed Sauti, and where hast thou spent the time? Tell me, who ask thee, in detail.’ Accomplished in speech, Sauti, thus questioned, gave in the midst of that big assemblage of contemplative Munis a full and proper answer in words consonant with their mode of life. “Sauti said, ‘Having heard the diverse sacred and wonderful stories which were composed in his Mahabharata by Krishna-Dwaipayana, and which were recited in full by Vaisampayana at the Snake-sacrifice of the high-souled royal sage Janamejaya and in the presence also of that chief of Princes, the son of Parikshit, and having wandered about, visiting many sacred waters and holy shrines, I journeyed to the country venerated by the Dwijas (twice-born) and called Samantapanchaka where formerly was fought the battle between the children of Kuru and Pandu, and all the chiefs of the land ranged on either side. Thence, anxious to see you, I am come into your presence. Ye reverend sages, all of whom are to me as Brahma; ye greatly blessed who shine in this place of sacrifice with the splendour of the solar fire: ye who have concluded the silent meditations and have fed the holy fire; and yet who are sitting—without care, what, O ye Dwijas (twice-born), shall I repeat, shall I recount the sacred stories collected in the Puranas containing precepts of religious duty and of worldly profit, or the acts of illustrious saints and sovereigns of mankind?” “The Rishi replied, ‘The Purana, first promulgated by the great Rishi Dwaipayana, and which after having been heard both by the gods and the Brahmarshis was highly esteemed, being the most eminent narrative that exists, diversified both in diction and division, possessing subtile meanings logically combined, and gleaned from the Vedas, is a sacred work. Composed in elegant language, it includeth the subjects of other books. It is elucidated by other Shastras, and comprehendeth the sense of the four Vedas. We are desirous of hearing that history also called Bharata, the holy composition of the wonderful Vyasa, which dispelleth the fear of evil, just as it was cheerfully recited by the Rishi Vaisampayana, under the direction of Dwaipayana himself, at the snake-sacrifice of Raja Janamejaya?’

The Oneness of the Eastern Heart and the Western Mind by Sri Chinmoy Pdf

This historic collection of all of Sri Chinmoy’s university lectures in eBook form has been released to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Sri Chinmoy’s arrival in the West on 13 April 1964. Sri Chinmoy’s very first university lecture was given at the University of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica, on 10 January 1968. It was entitled “Spirituality: What It Is and What It Is Not.” This inaugurated a whole era of talks which saw Sri Chinmoy travelling ceaselessly across the length and breadth of America and around the world to address the youth of each country. He would spend countless hours travelling by car or train to reach far- flung universities, sometimes visiting two or even three in the course of a single day. After many of these sublimely inspiring discourses, he would answer questions from the audience or spend time instructing sincere seekers in the age-old practices of concentration, meditation and contemplation. By the mid-seventies, Sri Chinmoy had spoken volumes and he began to include longer and longer periods of silent meditation in his lectures. Then, in 1984, in a significant departure from the spoken word, he introduced the theme of Peace Concerts. At these concerts, Sri Chinmoy would play his own soulful and devotional compositions on a variety of instruments of both Eastern and Western origin, meditating between each instrument and sometimes giving aphorisms on peace and related themes. In 2003 yet another form of Sri Chinmoy’s self-offering unfolded when he travelled to a number of universities to honour distinguished professors for their significant contributions to the betterment of humanity by physically lifting them overhead. This remarkable endeavour was part of his “Lifting Up the World With a Oneness-Heart” award programme. Thus, through words, silence, music and a combination of physical and spiritual upliftment, Sri Chinmoy has shared his profound spiritual message with the aspiring Truth- seekers and God-lovers of the university-world for four decades. Sri Chinmoy’s words are mantras for the modern age, reverberating in our hearts with their timeless and truly life-transforming wisdom. In his exquisite prose, which is suffused with the very breath and cadence of poetry, Sri Chinmoy has revealed all the many stages of the seeker’s journey towards the Golden Shores of the ever-transcending Beyond. For generations to come these three volumes will awaken the inner mounting cry of seekers everywhere to achieve the highest Goal of Yoga—union with God—in this life.

History of Ancient India : Ancient India by Muzaffar H. Syed & Others Pdf

History of Indian Nation India, the cradle for one of the most ancient civilizations in the world, has a long and rich history, spanning thousands of years. In fact, the history of India begins with evidence of human activity millions of years ago. The Indus Valley Civilization was the first major civilization. Vedic Civilization witnessed the rise of major polities. Almost the whole country was controlled by Mauryan Empire and it was again united under Gupta Empire. Muslim rule in the subcontinent began when the Arabs conquered Sindh and Multan. Then, several invasions from Central Asia led to the formation of Muslim empires, such as the Delhi Sultanate and the Mughal Empire. Mughals conquered most of northern India and finally controlled the entire sub-continent and Afghanistan. Mughal Empire declined in the 18th century. Then, East India Company gained ascendancy over South Asia. Dissatisfaction with Company rule led to an unsuccessful revolt in 1857, after which India was directly administered by the British Crown. In the 20th century, a nationwide struggle for independence was launched by Indian National Congress. The subcontinent gained independence from Great Britain in 1947, but the country was partitioned into two dominions of India and Pakistan. After Independence, a new era began. This comprehensive book, comprising four volumes covers the entire history of the Indian Nation in a very compact manner. This book is an asset for historians, teachers, students and general readers, at par.

Incarnations by Saraswati Raman Pdf

When in the great wheel of evolution of this Universe another turnaround has to be given, when some new form, new type of life is coming forth, then the Supreme reveals Himself, embodying the type which He seeks to initiate in His Cosmos. Time and Time again, He has incarnated to give that much required push for human beings to go to the next step in their evolution. In her latest book, Incarnations: Steps for Momentum in Human Evolutio, Saraswati Raman has nicely interwoven Shri Mataji Nirmala Devis clarifications on the occasion of several pujas on the meaning of various Avataras, together with the incidents in the lives of the great Avataras. She has brought home, in a lucid manner, how the human evolution has been actualized in the form of incarnations taken by the supreme being. I wish her all the best for this beautiful book. Baby Krishna, Infant Christ by Kristin Johnston Largen Pdf

A ground-breaking work in comparative theology. This stimulating work of comparative theology brings into conversation the stories of the infancy and youth Jesus with that of Krishna in the Hindu tradition. The early chapters tell the stories, first of Krishna and then of Jesus, and then describe the role each plays as savior for the faithful of that tradition. Chapter 1: Comparative Theology and Learning about Jesus Chapter 2: A Savior in Disguise the Stories Chapter 3: Krishna and His Followers How He Saves Chapter 4: Immanuel the Stories Chapter 5: Jesus and His Disciples How He Saves Chapter 6: All Grown Up Krishna and Jesus as Adults The text is not only readable but engaging, particularly when it explores the playfulness of the young Krishna and compares Krishna's early years with those of Jesus as described in such non-canonical writings as the Infancy Gospel of Thomas. Through this comparison Largen demonstrates the unique role Jesus' nature as both human and divine has in our Christian understanding of salvation.

New Birth or Rebirth? by Ravi Zacharias Pdf

Ultimate truth. The destiny of souls. The individual heart. Can Krishna and Jesus agree on anything? This is what Subramaniam, a real-life Hindu of the twentieth century, wonders as he enters a fictitious conversation between two religious figures who have changed the lives of millions. As Jesus and Krishna respond to each other’s view of life and the afterlife, they speak words straight from the texts of Christianity and Hinduism and straight into the soul. Subramaniam asks Jesus and Krishna hard questions about faith. Meanwhile, a fictional character, Richard, eavesdrops, asking himself the most important question of all: Does it really matter what I believe?
