Implementing Value Pricing by Ronald J. Baker Pdf

Praise for IMPLEMENTING VALUE PRICING A Radical Business Model for Professional Firms "Ron Baker is the most prolific and best writer when it comes to pricing services. This is a must-read for executives and partners in small to large firms. Ron provides the basics, the advanced ideas, the workbooks, the case studies everything. This is a must-have and a terrific book." Reed K. Holden founder and CEO, Holden Advisors, Corp., Associate Professor, Columbia University www.holdenadvisors.com "We've known through Ron Baker's earlier books that he's not just an extraordinary thinker and truly brilliant writer he's a mover and a shaker on a mission. This is the End of Time! Brilliant." Paul Dunn Chairman, B1G1® www.b1g1.com "Implementing Value Pricing is a powerful blend of theory, strategy, and tactics. Ron Baker's most recent offering is ambitious in scope, exploring topics that include economic theory, customer orientation, value identification, service positioning, and pricing strategy. He weaves all of them together seamlessly, and includes numerous examples to illustrate his primary points. I have applied the knowledge I've gained from his body of work, and the benefits to me and to my customers have been immediate, significant, and ongoing." Brent Uren Principal, Valuation & Business Modeling Ernst & Young® www.ey.com "Ron Baker is a revolutionary. He is on a radical crusade to align the interests of service providers with those of their customers by having lawyers, accountants, and consultants charge based on the value they provide, rather than the effort it takes. Implementing Value Pricing is a manifesto that establishes a clear case for the revolution. It provides detailed guidance that includes not only strategies and tactics, but key predictive indicators for success. It is richly illustrated by the successes of firms that have embraced value-based pricing to make their services not only more cost-effective for their customers, but more profitable as well. The hallmark of a manifesto is an unyielding sense of purpose and a call to action. Let the revolution begin." Robert G. Cross, Chairman and CEO, Revenue Analytics, Inc. Double Your Accounting FIrm by Joe Cassandra,David Cristello Pdf

Most accounting & bookkeeping firms stagnate because they haven't found the right way to: + Acquire the right type of client, predictably & consistently + Maintain quality service delivered through a high performance team + Develop workflows that drive client retention and firm profitability Smart firm owners know that in order to grow their firm, they'll need to adjust. Doing the "same old" will not magically create a better practice. But instead of randomly searching through the world of books, blogs, conferences and journals, this book shows you the exact steps you need to take to build a sustainable, high growth firm. In Double Your Accounting Firm, David Cristello (Founder of Jetpack Workflow) and Joe Cassandra, CPA (Principle of JC Copy) curated some of the best frameworks and principles from 100+ top practitioners, and their community of 20,000 accounting professionals. Inside you'll learn how to: + Make the transition from hourly billing to fixed (and then to value). Hint: It doesn't happen overnight + The key questions (and mistakes) that will make you rethink your workflow. For example: How often do you consider the client experience in your process creation? + How to identify your core client, and create a Unique Selling Proposition (USP) that positions your marketing material + The ideal way to run a consultation, so clients view you as the expert (and not a commodity that is traded on price!) + How to drive rapid growth through service expansion or M&A (note: you'll want to create a solid workflow and process structure before doing so!) And much more. Double Your Accounting Firm is a seminar worth of material, condense into an easy access book. At the end of each chapter are also links to interviews with the experts, which you can access for free from your computer or smartphone. The End of Accounting and the Path Forward for Investors and Managers by Baruch Lev,Feng Gu Pdf

An innovative new valuation framework with truly useful economic indicators The End of Accounting and the Path Forward for Investors and Managers shows how the ubiquitous financial reports have become useless in capital market decisions and lays out an actionable alternative. Based on a comprehensive, large-sample empirical analysis, this book reports financial documents' continuous deterioration in relevance to investors' decisions. An enlightening discussion details the reasons why accounting is losing relevance in today's market, backed by numerous examples with real-world impact. Beyond simply identifying the problem, this report offers a solution—the Value Creation Report—and demonstrates its utility in key industries. New indicators focus on strategy and execution to identify and evaluate a company's true value-creating resources for a more up-to-date approach to critical investment decision-making. While entire industries have come to rely on financial reports for vital information, these documents are flawed and insufficient when it comes to the way investors and lenders work in the current economic climate. This book demonstrates an alternative, giving you a new framework for more informed decision making. Discover a new, comprehensive system of economic indicators Focus on strategic, value-creating resources in company valuation Learn how traditional financial documents are quickly losing their utility Find a path forward with actionable, up-to-date information Major corporate decisions, such as restructuring and M&A, are predicated on financial indicators of profitability and asset/liabilities values. These documents move mountains, so what happens if they're based on faulty indicators that fail to show the true value of the company? The End of Accounting and the Path Forward for Investors and Managers shows you the reality and offers a new blueprint for more accurate valuation.

(c) 2015 Martin Bissett. A Few Words from the Author: Have you ever wondered what the partners of your firm are looking for from you beyond your technical abilities? For full disclosure, I am not an accountant, but I have spent decades working with accounting firms of all shapes and sizes in the United Kingdom, the United States and Europe.I noticed over time that in many firms, partners may often regard one or more of their managers as not being 'partner material' because they feel that the manager does not exhibit the traits they are looking for. In turn, the manager is not aware of the traits being sought after by the partners and whilst some of these 'traits' may be just plain common sense, others are not necessarily innate or intrinsic to the individual. That doesn't mean, however, that an individual is incapable of learning them and should be written off. I became fascinated by this apparent juxtaposition of the partners not vocalising what they were looking for in future partners and the managers not asking, despite wanting to reach that very position. In a profession with a supposed succession crisis on the horizon, this apparent stand-off struck me as curious. This led me to personally interview several hundred partners and managers in the US, UK and Europe to learn: 1. What the partners are looking for, and 2. How the managers see their own future in the firm. There are, of course, firms who have addressed this issue already, and their initiatives have also been captured by this research. The results of the research, including both the consensus and the exceptions to the general opinion, are contained in a series of workshops called Passport to Partnership which are delivered by my company, The Upward Spiral Partnership. The "Sailing through the seven Cs" program is designed to provide the highlights of each factor employed by the majority of partners interviewed as their criteria for evaluating whether or not someone in their organisation can make it to the top. I hope you'll join me as we visit each one and I'd be delighted to hear from you if you have further opinion as to anything the conclusions have or haven't shown up thus far. The research is perpetual, and as new findings are established as consensus they will be published here first. ."
