Lectures on Homeopathic Philosophy by James Tyler Kent Pdf

As increasing numbers of people turn to alternative healing practices, this classic text on the science and art of homeopathic medicine remains ever relevant. Written at the turn of the twentieth century by a distinguished physician, its concepts of health and healing are still ahead of our time. Dr. Kent summarizes, interprets, and systematizes the traditions of homeopathy, offering insights into the essential characteristics of the healing process: how to take a case history, how to study the case, how to establish the hierarchy of symptoms in determining the appropriate remedy--and above all, how to decide what to do after the first prescription, how to interpret the many reactions to therapy, and how to achieve a scientific understanding of a cure. This informative volume is must reading for any student or practitioner of homeopathy as well as any individual seriously interested in understanding the fundamental laws of health and healing.

This historic book may have numerous typos and missing text. Purchasers can usually download a free scanned copy of the original book (without typos) from the publisher. Not indexed. Not illustrated. 1900 edition. Excerpt: ... PREFACE These lectures were delivered in the Post-graduate School Of Homceopathics, and published in the Journal of Homoeopathies, and, now in somewhat revised form, are given to the profession with the hope that they will prove useful to some in giving a clearer apprehension of the doctrines of Homoeopathy. They are not intended, in any sense, to take the place of the Organon, but should be read with that work, in the form of a commentary, the object in each lecture being to dwell upon the particular doctrine sufficiently to perceive and emphasize the master's thought. Not all of the paragraphs in the Organon have been considered, as many of them are sufficiently clear to the reader and their teaching is quite obvious. Homoeopathy is now extensively disseminated over the world, but, strange to say, by none are its doctrines so distorted as by many of its pretended devotees. Homoeopathics treats of both the science and the art of healing by the law of similars, and if the art is to remain and progress among men the science must be better understood than at present. To apply the art without the science is merely a pretension, and such practice should be relegated to the domain of empiricism. To safely practice the art of curing sick people, the homoeopathic physician must know the science. It is not to be expected that this course of lectures covers the whole subject of homoeopathic philosophy, but it is intended to serve as an introduction to further study, and as a text-book for students, that they may have a sound starting, and become interested in the objects of this work. James Tyler Kent. Evanston, III., July 1, 1900. Preface to the Second Edition The first edition of this commentary on Hahnemann's Organon of Medicine, orig

Principles of Homeopathy by Benjamin Franklin Joslin Pdf

Excerpt from Principles of Homeopathy: In a Series of Lectures There is another class of unbelievers which, from the nature of the case, must embrace some of the foregoing class. It consists of those who are regarded as eminent in the medical profession: They are rich in honours and emoluments. Their circumstances naturally give them a strong bias against innovation. They apprehend that a med ical revolution would check their brilliant career. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. Eastern Belief Systems and Classical Homeopathy by Jeaneane Fowler Pdf

The many correlations between philosophical concepts in Eastern belief systems and the thought and practice of classical homeopathy have never been thoroughly explored. The homeopathy content of the arguments presented is mainly, though not exclusively, classical homeopathy, that is to say the method that emerges from the original founder, Samuel Hahnemann, and proceeds to the present day with a belief, where possible, in one, single, similimum remedy for the treatment of disease. The Eastern belief systems addressed are Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, and Jainism. Relevant detours include the mystical aspects of Islam as expressed in Sufism; and points of contact with Christian faith. Chapters include: Fundamental concepts The vital force The interrelated Universe Holism The pathological self Imbalance, disease and its symptoms Miasmatic pathology Remedies Potentization Cure: The purification of consciousness Homeopathy and the Coronavirus.

Three Lectures on Homoeopathic Pharmaceutics (Classic Reprint) by Francis E. Boericke Pdf

Excerpt from Three Lectures on Homoeopathic Pharmaceutics The following three lectures, delivered a number of years ago to the classes of the Homoeopathic Col lege of Philadelphia, I have concluded to publish, under the impression that I may thereby confer a service on many. The immediate reasons, however, for doing so, are the many inquiries and questions which we receive in our extended business on the preparation of our remedies. These questions often require long letters, and cannot after all be so fully and exhaustively answered as it is done in these lectures.
