Bad Luck Club by Denise Grover Swank,A.R. Casella Pdf

A grumpy man. A recovering people-pleaser. And the secret club that brings them together. Lee Buchanan is a hot mess. Turning one’s father in to the feds can do that to a man. He had nothing to do with his father’s Ponzi scheme, but he’s blacklisted from commercial real estate all the same. Which is how he ends up in Asheville, working at the brewery he inherited with his siblings. He’s salty as hell, and he doesn’t care who knows it. Until the gorgeous, intriguing Blue Combs issues the most peculiar invitation he’s ever received: Come to the Bad Luck Club. We can help you. It sounds like a cult or, worse, a group of Mary Sues, but Blue is different from any woman he’s ever met. For better or worse, he’s drawn to her. Just like she’s drawn to him, even if she has no intention of going all in with another man. She’s been there, done that, twice, and the life she’s built for herself is too important to risk. What starts as one person’s desire to help another turns into a connection too powerful to be denied—but can two broken people grow together, or will they tear each other apart?

The Salmon Bears by Nicholas Read Pdf

Extensively illustrated with Ian McAllister's magnificent photographs, The Salmon Bears explores the delicate balance that exists between the grizzly, black and spirit bears and their natural environment, the last great wilderness along the central coast of British Columbia. Key to this relationship are the salmon that are born in the rivers each spring, who then go out to sea as juveniles and return as adults to spawn and die, completing a cycle of life that ensures the survival of not only their own species but also virtually every other plant and animal in the rainforest. In clear language suitable for young readers, the authors describe the day-to-day activities that define the lives of these bears through the four seasons. But this is also very much the story of the Great Bear Rainforest—a vast tract of land that stretches from the northern tip of Vancouver Island to the Alaska border and contains some of the largest stands of old-growth forest left on the West Coast. The Salmon Bears focuses on the interconnectedness of all life in the rainforest and makes a strong case for the importance of protecting this vital ecological resource.

Good Luck by KM Mahoney Pdf

It's just another normal day for a not-so-normal fairy. Allegro Romani is a fairy. Literally. Disowned by his family because of his sexual orientation, he's left the Fae realm for Earth. He's done all right for himself, establishing a small store in a paranormal-friendly town. He's even made a few friends, despite his awkward social skills. But one day a week, everything goes to hell. Alli is a Fayte, and they don't tend to fare very well out of the magic-laden air of their home world. Once a week, their body rebels, and the result? A day full of the worst luck imaginable. For Alli, that day is always Friday. He's come to dread them and would, in fact, spend every Friday tucked up in bed with the covers over his head if he could. But he's found out from past experience that it doesn't help, so now he just grits his teeth and tries to get through Friday without killing himself. Or someone else. Then, one particular Friday, his bad luck results in something surprisingly good. He meets a gorgeous bear shifter named Michael. And despite seeing him at his worst, Michael isn't running in the opposite direction. In fact, he's chasing Alli down with resolve and determination. Now Alli just has to find a way to keep his bear shifter, get rid of the trouble plaguing him, and figure out who wants him out of Putman County for good. It's enough to make any sane fairy run for the hills. Fortunately, Alli has never been accused of being particularly sane. And with his bear at his side, Alli is determined to hang onto his new life. Bad luck or no bad luck.

A Day in the Life of My Teddys Bears by Rosaleen Obrien-Pegler Pdf

DescriptionIn writing this book Rosaleen has captured the heart of every man, woman, and child, seeing the world through the eyes of a Teddy Bear, and has stirred up childhood memories of long forgotten years. Whether you are a child or an adult this book has been written just for you. Teddy Bear is usually the one and only toy that Mum will trust with her baby, as he/or /she begins to learn how to place trust in what is usually her first soft toy. Such soft fur and a welcoming face is a joy to see giving young children confidence in the knowledge that when dad and mum turn out the lights at night their little one is not alone. Also Teddy plays a role when children have bee advised about their behaviour and they feel frustrated they can confide in Teddy. Teddy is on childrens level and even when one has to go shopping and leave at home their partner who may not be well it is a nice thing to place Teddy beside them on the sofa. This book has been written by Rosaleen who got behind the mind of Teddy and has related his concerns and joys, even older folk in hospices have a Teddy to bring comfort. All in all this book deserves a place in every school, nursery, library, and of course family homes.Teddy Bear promises one thing that is he will give you back all the love that you give him and more...By the way Rosaleen has just one question...What happened to your Teddy Bear?About the AuthorI have been in receipt of trauma counselling since 1999 on a daily basis, at times speaking till the early hours of the morning.Support from my trauma Counsellor helps me to come to terms with accepting that what has happened to me cannot now be changed. I cannot ever forgive those who had a vicarious liability to look after me and failed. As a result of being locked away for some years all because we were poor has brought certain limitations to my day to day life. Writing is a form of therapy and allows me to be free to be the person that I want to be, and should have been my birthright. Through writing I can reach out to others who may have had such an unfortunate experience as myself . Daily flashbacks can be upsetting and I fill my life with things to do so as to block them out. Day to day life can be exhausting and coping mechanisms that I learnt in order to survive have not helped me in the outside world. God help all fellow survivors and perhaps one day Ireland will accept the terrible price we paid. Shame on all you right thinking residents in Ireland to allow the government and Catholic Church to ignore harm done to me and many others who are either dead or too ill to tell their story. Thanks to Chipmunkapublishing I have been able to confront my demons and a Big Thank you to Reatha my trauma counsellor without her I would not be here today writing about my stolen life.

The Nerd Next Door by L Loryn Pdf

He never thought he'd get a chance.... When Griffin graduated high school, he was voted most likely to die a virgin and most likely to have a pen leak through his pocket protector. The only sport he played was chess, and the only club he was a member of was the Thursday Night Gaming Club he started at the local library. He hated high school, especially football, but he adored Kyrie. Kyrie had been an all-star football player for four years in high school. He could have slept with any girl he wanted. The only problem was he wasn't interested in girls. He was interested in boys. One boy in particular. He was interested in Griffin, the dorkiest kid in school and the kid who lived on the same street as him. Ten long years later, his high school crush is back in town and looking sexier than ever.... And this time, Kyrie’s not letting Griffin slip away again. This is a 23,000-word novella, previously published under the pen name Reese Winters (me, still me!). It's been updated and re-edited, but no significant changes.
