Made to Love by S.M. West Pdf

Love and “happily ever after” have no place in my life. Motherhood and marriage defined me. Now divorced by choice, I’ve reinvented myself, pouring my heart into my business. Then Samson Beaulieu walks into my life and turns everything upside down. Instead of running, I indulge in him. He’s delectable and fun and that’s all we can ever be. Because there’s no doubt this younger, sexy man will break my heart. I’m what you’d call a reluctant celebrity. Cooking is my passion, but fame is a constant with foodies flocking for selfies and autographs. Then Olivia Cassidy walks into my restaurant and turns everything upside down. She gives me a chance, but not her heart. And that’s not good enough. I want her more than any restaurant or TV deal. Walking away isn’t an option.

Made for Love by Michael Schmitz Pdf

In Made for Love, Fr. Michael Schmitz presents the Catholic teaching on same-sex attraction and same-sex "sexual" relations. He begins by giving background information regarding the different worldviews of the human person, the philosophical ideas of nature and purpose, the differences between objective and subjective truth, the principal of non- contradiction, and the fallen human nature that resulted from Original Sin. He then discusses in great detail the nature and ends of human sexuality and the nature of true love, while, in a compassionate and non-judgmental way, explaining the flawed nature of same-sex "sexual" relations. While this book is intended primarily for those who have same-sex attraction and their family and friends, its presentation of the compassionate truth of Catholic teaching on same-sex attraction will be of great benefit to everyone in today's society.

Make Love Your Aim by Eugenia Price Pdf

“Everyone today is an expert on love,” is Dr. Allan Fromme’s cryptic reflection on our current mood. With a sense of human adventure, Eugenia Price suggests in Make Love Your Aim that anyone can be “an expert on love” if he will dare to discover for himself the love God offers. “We have so sentimentalized our concept of love that it bears no resemblance to the original,” Miss Price writes. “We have taken the word of romantic novels and motion pictures and TV and perfume and men above the Word of God. The Bible declares that God is love. How closely does your concept of love resemble the love of God? We tend to judge the quality of love according to the way it makes the loved one feel. But to judge love by feeling is our big error and the point at which we turn aside from God’s original concept.” Make Love Your Aim is a companion piece to the author’s last book, The Wider Place, which was described by some readers as a “controversial challenge” to try the inner freedom God grants to anyone who want it enough to assume the responsibilities that come with it. Freedom and love are two sides of the same coin. And we can only understand them enough to practice them if we know the way God defines them. How does He do this? In Jesus Christ, the final yet continuing revelation of God’s true intentions toward all of us. Those who are familiar with Eugenia Price’s books will recognize this as a recurring theme. Make Love Your Aim develops it with imagination and versatility: “Jesus said, ‘If the Son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.’ But He was offering to wave no magic wand over our heads so that we could do as we pleased. He also said, ‘This is my commandment, That you love one another as I have loved you.’ His is the love of the Cross, without self-defense, without self-pity – and totally free.”

Motown Encyclopedia by Graham Betts Pdf

Motown means different things to different people. The mere mention of perhaps the most iconic record label in history is often enough to invoke memories and mental images of Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, The Jackson 5, The Supremes and numerous others. With each group recalled, there is an accompanying piece of music of the mind, from Baby Love, My Girl, Signed Sealed Delivered, I Heard It Through The Grapevine, ABC and Tears Of A Clown and countless more. Quite often, you can ask people what kind of music they like and they will simply answer ‘Motown’, and both they, and you, know exactly what is meant. Or rather, what is implied. The Motown they are invariably thinking of is the label that dominated the charts in the mid 1960s with a succession of radio friendly, dance orientated hits, most of which were written and produced by the trio of Brian Holland, Lamont Dozier and Eddie Holland. This period is referred to, naturally enough, as the Golden Era, when Motown was not only the dominant force in its home city of Detroit but carried The Sound of Young America all around the world. The kind of music that had them Dancing In the Street from Los Angeles to London, Miami to Munich and San Francisco to Sydney. It was the kind of music that attracted scores of imitators; some good, some not so good. The kind of music that appealed to the public and presidents alike, and still does. It was that Motown that this book was intended to be about. However, when you start digging deeper into the Motown story, you realise that throughout its life (which, for the purposes of this book, is its formation in 1959 through to its sale in 1988) it was constantly trying other musical genres, looking to grab hits out of jazz, country, pop, rock, middle of the road and whatever else might be happening at the time. Of course it wasn’t particularly successful at some of the other genres, although those who claim Motown never did much in the rock market conveniently overlook the healthy sales figures achieved by Rare Earth, the group, and focus instead on the total sales achieved on Rare Earth, the label. This book, therefore, contains biographies of all 684 artists who had releases on Motown and their various imprints, as well as biographies of 16 musicians, 23 producers, 19 writers and 13 executives. There are also details of the 50 or so labels that Motown owned, licensed to or licensed from. All nine films and the 17 soundtracks are also featured. Every Motown single and album and EP that made the Top Ten of the pop charts in either the US or UK also have their own entries, with 222 singles, 84 albums and five EPs being featured. Finally, there are 36 other entries, covering such topics as the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Motortown Revues, Grammy Awards and the most played Motown songs on radio. The 1,178 entries cover every aspect of Motown and more – of the link between Granny in The Beverly Hillbillies and Wonder Woman, of the artists from Abbey Tavern Singers to Zulema, and the hits from ABC to You Really Got A Hold On Me. The Motown Encyclopedia is the story of Motown Records; Yesterday, Today, Forever.

Things to Love Her For: Pieces of a Private Poet by Maneka Cooper Pdf

Things to Love Her For, is a poetry book that pierces beyond the ego (mind) and physicality (body). It is written to serve as an instrument for understanding how we as humans relate to one another, as spiritual beings with souls who are impacted daily by our experiences and decisions. Things to Love Her For, expands on the fact that you can adorn your body however you like, it will remain only a shell. You can live life however you see fit, consequently, the quality of your soul will be impacted and your mind, you can feed it whatever you like, it's plasticity makes it ever expanding, but we should be cognizant that ones external reality is a reflection of our internal mentality. Fear, ego, and pain are all created equal. As the author, I use this book to intimately connect with you in a way that encourages you to sit with your own thoughts for self-discovery, to follow your purpose and passion and humbly accept the challenges we unknowingly pray for with tenacity, strength, and courage.
