Beyond Self-Realization by Paul Breer Pdf

Beyond Self-Realization In his previous book on philosophy (The Spontaneous Self), the author argued that the concept of free will is an illusion while detailing what it might imply for our thoughts, feelings, and behavior to dispel that belief. The present volume takes the argument further. With equal emphasis on theory and practice, it illustrates how giving up one’s identity as a free-willing inner “I” can serve as a stepping stone to the state of enlightenment. To experience enlightenment, we have to go beyond self-realization, and that can happen only if we change the way we define ourselves. Given the ubiquitous value placed on the self in our Western culture, that is not an easy task. If the path to enlightenment can be envisioned as a trail leading to the top of a mountain, the self can be seen as a large rock blocking the way. To get to the top, we have to either blast our way through the rock or go around it. Most spiritual traditions opt for the latter. In Beyond Self-Realization, the author lays out a plan for blasting our way through. The plan consists of two steps: first, a gradual shrinking of the self-illusion and second, a total uprooting of the self-tree. The techniques used include meditation, contemplation, linguistic exercises, and group work, in which members look for signs that the self-illusion is present in their behavior. Once a sign is detected, the other techniques are brought to bear on removing the “rock.” When applied with persistence, the practice is designed to release one from the cage of quiet desperation, in which most of us are trapped. Once released, we are free to discover who we really are.

How You Can Talk with God is a favorite of spiritual seekers around the world, showing readers how to pray with greater intimacy to create a deep and fulfilling personal relationship with the Divine. A Basic Handbook for Spiritual Self-realization & Meditation by Senthil Vellaichamy Pdf

What is the biggest impediment of learning anything new? It is the jargons. People usually get scared by the jargons. For example, the fundamental jargons used in economics are Currency, GDP, GNP, inflation, deflation etc. If one wishes to master economics, one must learn to understand those jargons. So, the easiest way to learn the fundamentals of a new subject is to understand the jargons used in that field. But if people find it difficult to understand the definition of the jargons, they will simply show no interest to learn further in that field. Similarly, spirituality has evoked little interest among the masses because of the lack of down-to-earth explanations for the jargons used. Therefore, keeping those in mind who have very little time to explore the jargons on their own, this book contains very simple explanations for the spiritual jargons as well as very simple techniques to do meditation. So, anyone who goes through this book will develop a taste for spirituality and will learn to meditate very quickly and easily. It is immaterial whether you are a believer in God or not, but, if you are someone who has the courage to question anything and everything, this book is for you.

Integral Meditation by Kenneth Sørensen Pdf

"Kenneth SOrensen masterfully shows how the human being is a seven-fold system of energies and offers a variety of meditations for accessing all the colors of this rainbow of potentiality. Integral meditation is an illuminating and wise presentation of the science of meditation. It is a candid spiritual autobiography - a magnificent synthesis of the author's life to date and what he has discovered by consciously treading the path of the Soul." Michael Lindfield - Board President of Meditation Mount in Ojai, California Kenneth SOrensen (born 1962) is a psychotherapist, author and spiritual teacher, and the co-founder of Jivayou.com. He has an MA in Psychosynthesis from the University of East London and is the author of The Soul of Psychosynthesis: The Seven Core Concepts. In Integral Meditation, SOrensen offers a lively and comprehensive introduction to the esoteric philosophy of the Seven Rays (also known as the Seven Rivers of Life), which teaches how we can achieve Self-realisation by integrating and embodying the seven essential energies that underpin the universe. SOrensen explains how each of the Seven Rays can be navigated using a particular type of meditation that must be modified according to the meditator's personal blueprint of spiritual energy. The result is a unique path to the Soul for every seeker. While reflecting with unflinching honesty upon his own spiritual journey, SOrensen shows how the application of tried and tested techniques of meditation can bring inspiration, transformation and spiritual breakthrough. The formula is as simple as it is challenging: the integration of a variety of meditation techniques can result in the manifestation of universal energies that will profoundly change our relationship to ourselves, to those around us and to the universe as a whole. Drawing heavily on the teachings of Psychosynthesis, Integral psychology and ancient wisdom, Integral Meditation presents an approach to the psycho-spiritual journey that can be summed up in the invitation: "Meditate, love and choose freedom every day."

Metaphysical Meditations by Paramhansa Yogananda Pdf

Metaphysical Meditations The reprint of the original 1952 edition By Paramhansa Yogananda Most people want to meditate but do not know how to do so. The purpose of meditation is to connect the little joy of the soul with the vast joy of the Spirit with focused practice. Meditation is not the same as concentration which consists in freeing the attention from objects of distraction and focusing on one thing at a time. Meditation is that special form of concentration in which the attention has been liberated from restlessness, and is focused on the Infinite, to be focused only on God or sacred thoughts and ideas. Meditation consists in certain physical, psychological, and metaphysical processes—by which the static of restlessness can be removed from the body, mind, and soul radios, which can then be tuned in with the Infinite. By calm, continuous, one pointed attention the ego must be kept connected to the Spirit until they both become merged into everlasting bliss. In Metaphysical Meditations Paramhansa Yogananda, author of the best-selling spiritual classic Autobiography of a Yogi, gives some concrete metaphysical methods of meditation, for the student who has already struggled through the mobs of rowdy thoughts and crossed the portals of silence. The instructions will be found in the various sections of the book preceding each type of meditation: prayers or demands addressed to the Divine, affirmations about God, and those spoken to the individual consciousness.

A Path Toward Light by August Binkert Pdf

In many ways, this book represents my life's work. Its purpose is for enlightenment. To achieve that end, it first sets the foundation for a stable mental platform, then takes you through the novice, intermediate, and master stages of meditative thinking. It considers the realms of mind, body, emotions and spirit, and leads you to become aware of the traits that may be revealed at each level and realm. Every person is on an essential journey. Regardless of whether they are aware of it or actively participating in it, their essence is changing. This essence exists in both the world and people around us, and within our own personal psyche as a quality of awareness. This book addresses your own awareness of your journey. Not your journey through life, but more importantly the journey of your growing awareness of life. Herein then lies a collection of insights, philosophies, techniques, cognitive and yoga exercises, introspection and some personal examples. Collectively they represent a significant set of tools for unfolding self awareness and developing the traits of an enlightened thinker. It achieves this by using these tools to guide your focus in a way that significantly challenges and develops your awareness. Your awareness thus expands to encompass a knowledge and understanding of many traits of conscious life that you may otherwise never have appreciated or become aware of. Traits like intuition, introspection, experiencing the moment, wonderment, compassion and sensitivity to subtle nuances of your inner thinking and the world around you. How you use these gifts is yours to decide. Regardless of the directions you embark on, life will be more meaningful when engaged from a higher level of essence. Another beauty is that with greater awareness and understanding comes an ease in discerning and making life choices. You will know yourself. How much can you appreciate? How deeply can you feel? The book goes on, but is best left to your own discovery.

Meditation by Taoshobuddha Pdf

At the moment a child takes birth, many stars emerge from around the earths horizon. And each movement of the stars emits a specific vibration. Also, each star has its own individual movement. All these vibrations together create a musical harmony. This Pythagoras called this Harmony of the Universe. This cosmic harmony regulates the state of health and illness throughout the life. This is an investigation on how healing can happen. It begins with a passage from Sri Aurobindos Savitri The fathomless zero occupied the cosmos and your world of finiteness. It is out of this fathomless zero first evolved ether or sky. Then came air, followed by fire, the remaining elements the water, the earth, and thus life evolved! The soul! The mind! And the physical body! Your physical body is mere showcase of all that happens at other planes or bodies. Then the question comes from where can healing really happen. Since physical body is mere showcase. Definitely it cannot be the beginning. Regular medicine begins here but not meditation. Can you start at bioplasmic level? Or you still have to go a step beyond. There are so many unresolved issues in each one of you that need to be addressed before the healing can really begin. Through these meditations, I am creating inner balance between body and the mind. Only then you can attain to meditativeness. This process will continue until new man, one who is beyond body, mind, and intellect, is born out of you. This is just the beginning. MEDITATION THE ULTIMATE IN HEALING is the outcome of the insights and deeper understanding of someone who has explored deep within an unfathomable treasure or reservoir. He has also a tremendous capacity to transfer such inner experience to others as the process of healing. However, I was very impressed when I looked at the text and was even more so when I listened to the audio part of these meditations! I listened to them several times sometimes in deep meditation. My purpose was to analyze these audio and their role in healing. The various categories of body meditations, mind meditations, balancing the mind and meditationthe ultimate are all beautifully planned for the beginner as well as the experienced meditator. I can certainly assure you that you cannot remain untouched by this. Together, all these connect you to your beingthe ultimate light that heals all. Dr. C. H. Ramnarine
