Multi-Criteria Decision-Making Method Based on Simplified Neutrosophic Linguistic Information with Cloud Model by Jian-Qiang Wang ,Chu-Quan Tian,Xu Zhang,Hong-Yu Zhang ,Tie-Li Wang Pdf

This study introduces simplified neutrosophic linguistic numbers (SNLNs) to describe online consumer reviews in an appropriate manner. Considering the defects of studies on SNLNs in handling linguistic information, the cloud model is used to convert linguistic terms in SNLNs to three numerical characteristics. Then, a novel simplified neutrosophic cloud (SNC) concept is presented, and its operations and distance are defined. Next, a series of simplified neutrosophic cloud aggregation operators are investigated, including the simplified neutrosophic clouds Maclaurin symmetric mean (SNCMSM) operator, weighted SNCMSM operator, and generalized weighted SNCMSM operator. Subsequently, a multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) model is constructed based on the proposed aggregation operators. Finally, a hotel selection problem is presented to verify the effectiveness and validity of our developed approach.

Simplified Neutrosophic Linguistic NormalizedWeighted Bonferroni Mean Operator and Its Application to Multi-Criteria Decision-Making Problems by Zhang-peng ,Jing Wang,Tian Hong-yu Zhang,Xiao-hong Chen,Jian-qiang Wang Pdf

The main purpose of this paper is to provide a method of multi-criteria decision-making that combines simplified neutrosophic linguistic sets and normalized Bonferroni mean operator to address the situations where the criterion values take the form of simplified neutrosophic linguistic numbers and the criterion weights are known. Firstly, the new operations and comparison method for simplified neutrosophic linguistic numbers are defined and some linguistic scale functions are employed. Subsequently, a Bonferroni mean operator and a normalized weighted Bonferroni mean operator of simplified neutrosophic linguistic numbers are developed, in which some desirable characteristics and special cases with respect to the parameters p and q in Bonferroni mean operator are studied.

Algebraic Structures of Neutrosophic Triplets, Neutrosophic Duplets, or Neutrosophic Multisets by Florentin Smarandache,Xiaohong Zhang,Mumtaz Ali Pdf

Neutrosophy (1995) is a new branch of philosophy that studies triads of the form (, , ), where is an entity {i.e. element, concept, idea, theory, logical proposition, etc.}, is the opposite of , while is the neutral (or indeterminate) between them, i.e., neither nor . Based on neutrosophy, the neutrosophic triplets were founded, which have a similar form (x, neut(x), anti(x)), that satisfy several axioms, for each element x in a given set. This collective book presents original research papers by many neutrosophic researchers from around the world, that report on the state-of-the-art and recent advancements of neutrosophic triplets, neutrosophic duplets, neutrosophic multisets and their algebraic structures – that have been defined recently in 2016 but have gained interest from world researchers. Connections between classical algebraic structures and neutrosophic triplet / duplet / multiset structures are also studied. And numerous neutrosophic applications in various fields, such as: multi-criteria decision making, image segmentation, medical diagnosis, fault diagnosis, clustering data, neutrosophic probability, human resource management, strategic planning, forecasting model, multi-granulation, supplier selection problems, typhoon disaster evaluation, skin lesson detection, mining algorithm for big data analysis, etc.

A bibliometric analysis of neutrosophic set: two decades review from 1998 to 2017 by Xindong Peng,Jingguo Dai Pdf

Neutrosophic set, initiated by Smarandache, is a novel tool to deal with vagueness considering the truth-membership T , indeterminacy-membership I and falsity-membership F satisfying the condition 0 ≤ T + I + F ≤ 3. It can be used to characterize the uncertain information more sufficiently and accurately than intuitionistic fuzzy set. Neutrosophic set has attracted great attention of many scholars that have been extended to new types and these extensions have been used in many areas such as aggregation operators, decision making, image processing, information measures, graph and algebraic structures. Because of such a growth, we present an overview on neutrosophic set with the aim of offering a clear perspective on the different concepts, tools and trends related to their extensions. A total of 137 neutrosophic set publication records from Web of Science are analyzed. Many interesting results with regard to the annual trends, the top players in terms of country level as well as institutional level, the publishing journals, the highly cited papers, and the research landscape are yielded and explained in-depth. The results indicate that some developing economics (such as China, India, Turkey) are quite active in neutrosophic set research. Moreover, the co-authorship analysis of the country and institution, the co-citation analysis of the journal, reference and author, and the co-occurrence analysis of the keywords are presented byVOSviewer software.

Hybrid Weighted Arithmetic and Geometric Aggregation Operator of Neutrosophic Cubic Sets for MADM by Lilian Shi ,Yue Yuan Pdf

Neutrosophic cubic sets (NCSs) can express complex multi-attribute decision-making (MADM) problems with its interval and single-valued neutrosophic numbers simultaneously. The weighted arithmetic average (WAA) and geometric average (WGA) operators are common aggregation operators for handling MADM problems. However, the neutrosophic cubic weighted arithmetic average (NCWAA) and neutrosophic cubic geometric weighted average (NCWGA) operators may result in some unreasonable aggregated values in some cases. In order to overcome the drawbacks of the NCWAA and NCWGA, this paper developed a new neutrosophic cubic hybrid weighted arithmetic and geometric aggregation (NCHWAGA) operator and investigates its suitability and effectiveness. Then, we established a MADM method based on the NCHWAGA operator. Finally, a MADM problem with neutrosophic cubic information was provided to illustrate the application and effectiveness of the proposed method.

Aggregation Functions Considering Criteria Interrelationships in Fuzzy Multi-Criteria Decision Making: State-of-the-Art by LE SUN,HAI DONG,ALEX X. LIU Pdf

Aggregation function is an important component in an information aggregation or information fusion system. Interrelationships usually exist between the input arguments (e.g., the criteria in the multicriteria decision making) of an aggregation function. In this paper, we make a comprehensive survey on the aggregation operators (AOs) that consider the argument interrelationships in crisp and fuzzy settings. In particular, we discuss the mechanisms of modeling the argument interrelationships of the Choquet integral (CI), the power average (PA), the Bonferroni mean (BM), the Heronian mean (HM), and the Maclaurin symmetric mean (MSM) operators, and introduce their extended (e.g., generalized or weighted) forms and their applications in different fuzzy sets. In addition, we compare these ve types of operators and summarize their advantages and disadvantages. Furthermore, we discuss the applications of these operators. Finally, we identify some future research directions in the AOs considering the argument interrelationships. The reviewed papers are mainly about the development of the CI, the PA, the BM, the HM, and the MSM in (fuzzy) MCDMs, most of which fall in the period of 20092018.

Multi-Objective and Multi-Attribute Optimisation for Sustainable Development Decision Aiding by Samarjit Kar,Edmundas Kazimieras Zavadskas,Jurgita Antucheviˇcien ˙e Pdf

Optimization is considered as a decision-making process for getting the most out of available resources for the best attainable results. Many real-world problems are multi-objective or multi-attribute problems that naturally involve several competing objectives that need to be optimized simultaneously, while respecting some constraints or involving selection among feasible discrete alternatives. In this Reprint of the Special Issue, 19 research papers co-authored by 88 researchers from 14 different countries explore aspects of multi-objective or multi-attribute modeling and optimization in crisp or uncertain environments by suggesting multiple-attribute decision-making (MADM) and multi-objective decision-making (MODM) approaches. The papers elaborate upon the approaches of state-of-the-art case studies in selected areas of applications related to sustainable development decision aiding in engineering and management, including construction, transportation, infrastructure development, production, and organization management.

An improved MULTIMOORA method for multi-valued neutrosophic multi-criteria group decision-making based on prospect theory by Fei Xiao,Jing Wang,Jian-qiang Wang Pdf

At present, there are many subways being constructed in many cities. In the construction of subways, an appropriate scheme is helpful to save cost and ensure the quality of the project. This paper attaches great importance to present a multi-criteria group decision-making (MCGDM) method to deal with selecting an appropriate construction scheme for subways. The process of selecting an appropriate construction scheme for subways is complex because it includes a great deal of fuzzy and uncertain information which can be presented by multi-valued neutrosophic numbers (MVNNs). In addition, in order to handle the interaction of inputs, an improved generalized multi-valued neutrosophic weighted Heronian mean (IGMVNWHM) operator is introduced. Subsequently, a new distance measure between two MVNNs is defined for deriving the objective criteria weights.

METHODS FOR SOLVING DECISION-MAKING PROBLEMS UNDER UNCERTAIN ENVIRONMENT by NANCY Pdf

Multiple-criteria decision-making (MCDM) problems are the imperative part of modern decision theory where a set of alternatives has to be assessed against the multiple influential attributes before the best alternative is selected. In a decision-making(DM) process, an important problem is how to express the preference value. Due to the increasing complexity of the socioeconomic environment and the lack of knowledge or the data about the DM problems, it is difficult for the decision maker to give the exact decision as there is always an imprecise, vague or uncertain information.
