My Daylight Monsters by Sarah Dalton Pdf

I always thought my demons came out in the day, rather than at night. I’ve never been scared of the dark. I’ve only ever been scared of real things: getting ill, having injections, physical pain… death. Those are my monsters, not ghosts or vampires or whatever else can hide under your bed at night. I was wrong. The dark makes everything worse. When 17-year-old Mary Hades is admitted by her parents to a psychiatric unit, her worst nightmares are confirmed. How can she get better in a place that fills her with dread? Her friendships with the other patients — her wacky roommate Lacey, her protector Mo, and the mysterious, green-eyed Johnny — begin to fill her with hope, until she realizes that people in the hospital are dying without explanation. Something sinister stalks the corridors, and it’s up to Mary to stop it. But the closer she gets to the answer, the more perilous her situation becomes, and Mary discovers the only way to get out alive is to confront the things that scare her most. The Search for the Flat Ness Monster by Ron Whittaker Pdf

When he first began the ICT, Ron envisioned that it would take from five to ten years to complete the trail. He had the feeling that when he signed up for his first ICT hike that he was about to step into the company of some elite hikers. It was very humbling for him to struggle along for thirteen miles that day, always the last one down the trail, trying to catch up to the others. Asthma made him much slower than most hikers. As his journey progressed, he met another hiker who was on the same quest. Together, they hiked about half of Idaho. He had much to learn about traveling in wilderness areas. Over time, his conditioning, skills, and confidence improved, and he began to venture on solo hikes. His journey across Idaho was not a continuous line of progress. He completed the trail in the most random and hopscotch fashion that one could imagine. Along the way, there were many interesting experiences and encounters, including a near fatal slide in the snow that almost ended the quest. Despite sometimes slow progress, frustrating setbacks, and physical limitations, he was able to experience the diverse and incredibly beautiful state of Idaho, with its ever changing topography and climate. He traveled the high deserts of the south, the Snake River plains, the Sawtooth Wilderness, the massive Salmon River canyon, the Gospel Hump Wilderness, the highlands of the Idaho-Montana Stateline Trail, the panhandle territory, the Selkirk range, the shores of Priest Lake, and arrived at last at Upper Priest River waterfall. It was a defining journey for Ron. He highly recommends the Idaho Centennial Trail to any prospective person who is considering either a thru-hike or a project of several years.

Alice Cooper, Golf Monster by Alice Cooper Pdf

Wretched excess, rock stardom, and golf—from the man who invented shock rock In this tell-all memoir, Alice Cooper speaks candidly about his life and career, including all the years of rock ’n’ roll history he’s been a part of, the addictions he faced, and the surprising ways he found redemption. From a childhood spent as a minister’s son worshiping baseball and rock ’n’ roll; to days on the road with his band, working to make a name for themselves; to stardom and the insanity that came with it, including a quart-of-whiskey-a-day habit; to drying out at a sanitarium back in the late ’70s, Alice Cooper paints a rich and rockin’ portrait of his life and his battle against addiction—fought by getting up daily at 7 a.m. to play 36 holes of golf. Alice tells hilarious, touching, and sometimes astounding stories about Led Zeppelin and the Doors, George Burns and Groucho Marx, John Daly and Tiger Woods . . . everyone is here from Dalí to Elvis to Arnold Palmer. Alice Cooper, Golf Monster is the incredible story of someone who rose through the rock ’n’ roll ranks releasing platinum albums and selling out arenas with his legendary act—all while becoming one of the best celebrity golfers around.
