This book is an excellent source of history and insight. It's full of inspiration and encouragement. Bringing scripture and history together with divine purpose is ingenious. Tammie Dennis Allen Chapel AME Church Sacramento, California I was thrilled to write this review. I've grown to respect and see Dr. Roy Jones Jr. as a mentor, especially as a friend. I am always intrigued by Dr. Jones as he shares his love for the Lord, his knowledge, and also his journey. Speaking of his life journey, it takes God, family, ministry, and education to understand one's personal journey. My Journey: My Family, the Army, the Ministry Life, and Education encourages us to stay the course despite the ups and downs of life, drawing on three phases that provide the basic combat training that promotes values. Dr. Jones has written a timely practical book fit for ministry in the twenty-first century. Vicar of Baghdad - My Journey So Far by Canon Andrew White Pdf

The remarkable story of Canon Andrew White, a man of great charm and energy and one of the world’s most trusted mediators and reconcilers. Combined in a single volume for the first time, The Vicar of Baghdad and My Journey So Far tell the story of how Andrew overcame a childhood beset by illness to become an anaesthetist and then a vicar in the Church of England. As vicar of St George’s Baghdad, the only Anglican church in Iraq, he has led a team providing food, healthcare, and education on a major scale and often in dire circumstances. He has had a considerable role in the work of reconciliation, both between Christian and Jew and between Shi’ite and Sunni Muslim. Andrew is widely recognised to be one of a handful of people trusted by virtually every side in the complex Middle East. Despite dealing with the pain from multiple sclerosis and facing extreme personal danger, he has nevertheless been able to mediate between opposing extremes. Political and military solutions are constantly put forward, and often fail. Andrew offers a different approach, speaking as a man of faith to men of faith. He is trusted by those who trust very few.

King Solomon, in his great wisdom, said, There is a time for everything under the sun. The life experiences of Andrew Frierson, author of Finger Grips Etched in Faith: Staying the Course of Life, show Solomons words to be true on the most personal, immediate level. Frierson experienced childhood during the Great Depression, dropped out of high school to enlist in the army, served as a minister and school administrator, and battled and eventually survived cancer. Finger Grips Etched in Faith chronicles the details of his life while reflecting on the culture of work, the value of family, and the power, love, and wisdom of God. Friersons compelling narrative, depicting the path of his life, offers inspiration for everyone, but particularly for those of us facing the specter of catastrophic illness and the intense changes that come with age. By embracing spirituality, faith, and survival, Frierson found revelation, enlightenment, and the ability to restore joy to post-cancer life. Despite inner or outer opposition, we can walk through life with dignity and resolvewe need only pause to listen and accept the wisdom we are given.

Complexities Along My Life's Journey-But God by Wayne Heil Pdf

Everyone has a story but few take time to tell their story. Complexities Along My Life’s Journey-But God, Wayne Heil has shared an interesting narrative that begins with a German family moving to Russia, escaping by night to America in fear of the oncoming Bolshevik revolution, and finding a home in South Dakota. It was here that Wayne’s personal story begins in Mobridge. What follows is a fascinating narrative of loving families, beautiful romance, and marriage to two beautiful women, varied successful ministries, and sometimes even bitter disappointment. In spite of several setbacks and discouragement, this story is about a triumphant life that is rooted in the rich soil of a deep faith. The church would be blessed if more people of faith would share their trials and triumphs as honestly as Wayne Heil has in this engaging account of his faith journey.

Path Chosen by Delane Quiver Boyer Pdf

This is my story of my memories, thoughts, and interpretations that I made from my experiences starting at the beginning of my age of awareness. I grew up on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota where I faced living in two different cultures to the time I joined the U.S. Army. My story is not about the accumulation of wealth or being famous or being some savior. It is about a simple dream. My story starts from the time I remember reaching the age of awareness to the present. I do not claim to be a writer, so my story may not be a well-planned or polished literary work that meets all the high standards of writing. The story is about being on a path out of poverty. I was raised by my grandparents from a baby to the time I joined the U.S. Army. For some reason my mother left me to be raised by her parents. They were poor people, seasonal laborers, who lived with a strong belief in their God. We lived in a two-room shack with tarpaper siding that had not inside toilet, running water or electricity. That was our home. They were always short of money to buy necessities and usually faced hunger. However they were a good couple and had a faith to believe in God. However I was fortunate to get a good education and had the opportunity to join the army for a career. I experienced new horizons that exposed me to new learning’s that tempered my attitude. I wish to share my experiences and thoughts from traveling along a path chosen with especially the Lakota youth and the non-Lakota youth what have written in this book. Pilamaya—Thank you
