John 3:3 A very interesting event took place while Jesus walked the earth, many of the religious leaders of his day did not believe or receive him but there were some who due to fear of what people will say though they believed, they did not show publicly what they thought about him then in John chapter 3, one of them came to enquire at night about the kingdom Jesus was talking about. He was curious as to how one can be a part of the kingdom and Jesus said in verse three. "Verily, verily, I say unto you, except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God" John 3:3 "Jesus answered him, I assure you most solemnly I tell you, that unless a person is born again (anew, from above), he cannot ever see (know, be acquainted with, and experience) the kingdom of God.' AMP The man must have looked at Jesus to confirm if he was in his right senses for he wondered how an adult would enter into his mother's stomach and be born again and Jesus told him "Except a man be born of the water and the spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God." so we can see that this goes beyond physical birth, this is the work of the spirit of Christ. Many of us who were born into Christian homes automatically believe we are born again or part of the house hold of faith, God forbid that at the end, Jesus tells us to depart because he does not know us. Being part of a Christian home or being part of a church does not equal being born again. You may know a lot about Jesus and God of the Christians, you may even know some verses in the bible and be able to quote them well, you may be able to say a thing or two about Jesus but then do you know him personally. You may say you know the president of your country, you might be able to say a lot of things about him but then the level of knowledge you have cannot be compared to what his wife will say. The wife knows him better, she sleeps with him and shares intimacy with him, and he will tell her things he is too careful not to tell the world, she knows his strengths and his fears. She knows when he is pretending to be okay and smiling when he is dying in silence. Now that is a level, and God desires that, intimacy with God and a relationship with him is the end to which Christ died so that when you die you can share eternity with him in heaven. So it's not about knowing about Jesus, it is about Jesus knowing you. Do you want to make heaven and be part of the kingdom Jesus talked about? Then you must be born again for that is the access, the key to the kingdom that is what entitles you to all that pertains to life and godliness. The son of a prince does not beg for the throne, he knows the throne is his by birth, same thing goes, we are the King's kid and because we are born of God, we have all He has. "But as many as received him, to them gave the power to become sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." John 1:12 So the power we have to be called sons is imparted at new birth, when we receive him into our life. Are you curious to know what this new birth is? I was in the music business for twenty-six years and had only minor success and I retired from the business with the satisfaction that I gave it my best effort, but also a what if I would have made it sigh in my heart. The table cracking during the writing sessions reminded me of a teacher hitting the desk with a ruler to get the class to be quiet. Make no mistake about it the good Lord loved for me to sing to him the different gospel songs that I mentioned in the book and even some of my own songs from time to time but playing around and joking were not taken kindly of when it was time to go to work. I was disobedient one time during the process and I felt a burning pain in my foot after one of the writing sessions that I talked about in the God will not be mocked chapter of the book. The bottom line is we really are made in the image of God and we were intended to dwell with him on a daily basis. My point is that the veil was gone. That's how close we are to God. We think of God in some faraway place and he is, but he is also right beside us and he really wants to commune with us as a Savior who understands what we go through and feel. I want to thank everyone that helped me along the way especially my fiancée, Diamond. I also want to acknowledge my roots from southern Virginia to my current home in Fort Washington, MD. The events in my journey were incredible, but the main point was what my Savior Jesus Christ told me on the day he blessed me to have his spirit, "Tell my children to get right. I am coming back soon." Look at the events in the world now. Hey children of God, get right.

This book is just a portion of my life, through events that I have gone through, and how they have formed me into who I am today. Most of these trials that I have gone through have mostly came through my decisions to use drugs and alcohol, in a way that became a problem, revolving most of my time and energy focused around these substances. I have learned that having this lifestyle and way of thinking has given me many fallbacks in life. It has led me to be in even many dangerous situations and incidences that have happened to me because places and people that I chose to be around. It is a miracle that I am even still alive to share this story. I write this story of my life in hope that others may not have to go through what I have gone through. I also write this to also show even if you are dealing with any form of addiction that may be harming your life, there is still hope and a time to change if you really have the desire to change for the better. There is a father in heaven who loves you a great deal, who knows you by name, and gives us these trials so that we can be used in this life and the life to come for a direct purpose. I find it amazing that the creator of the universe created us to be His children. I find it amazing that we are created in His image. This makes me feel like we are an important part of the universe, being on the planet where the Creator has His children! I know that we live in a competitive world; a place where appearance, social media, and money means everything. It can sometimes be difficult to have an optimistic outlook on life. Also, we live in a world where religion is slowly decreasing, and people are losing hope. I believe that religion means everything and even helps explain why we are even here. My biggest issue with religion is that each religion tries to convert rather than accept. There is too much dilemma on who is right and who has the exact answers of complete truth. When in reality, each religion believes in a creator and a purpose of us all being here (Christian or not). This is just my personal opinion, but there seems to be too much arguing on truth that it pulls away from what religion teaches. And in my opinion, it should only express LOVE! I love having a testimony of life and the opportunity to strengthen my testimony in religion. Our Father in heaven means everything to me. You mean everything to me as well""being my spiritual family for being another human being. I know that we live in a difficult world but have hope in everyone here that we will each find our direct purpose. I believe my direct purpose was to experience a life of drugs and alcohol so that I could recover and share my experiences of the dangers of messing with these substances in a world that strongly revolves around this style of living, even considering them cool and fun. I'm still working on what else is expected on me but know by having faith and keeping our Father in heaven in my heart, he will guide me in what next to do. What's your purpose? I know that you have one; believe in yourself, believe in a Creator that knows you by name. Ask and you shall receive, knock and it shall be opened unto you. And that is a promise that comes from the HEAVENS! That is a promise that comes from GOD!
