He Never Left Me by Christa Mayaliwa Pdf

He Never Left Me is the story of Christa Mayaliwa's battle with systemic arthritis (adult's Still's disease) as a child, its relapse when she turned sixteen, and her father's abandonment of their family in the midst of their emotional and financial struggles. More than that, it is a story of the goodness of God. Despite life's billows, Christa's God has been able to carry her through it all. This story is for those who are affected with a chronic illness aside from arthritis, parents with children who are in a similar state, those who want to be inspired, Christians, ministers, and doctors. This is Christa's testimony.

The Word of My Testimony by Lance Watson Pdf

Forty years ago I first embarked on my life-long odyssey as a soul-winner. The odyssey has been spectacular, breathtaking, awesome, scintillating, otherworldly and at times dangerous but always profoundly fulfilling. This should be one's experience regardless of their calling in the service of Christ. It is the goal of this book to inspire saints to seek deeper, more meaningful personal intimacy with Jesus Christ. My poetry heralds God's truths. To some, Jesus is merely their savior, but not their Lord. Jesus is our Lord when we obey Him and when we desire to please Him above all else. Dare to put Christ first and dare to be great in His vast, ever-expanding, and unending kingdom. The greatest heart is a servant's heart with hands and feet that prove it. In this time of greatest darkness let your flickering flame erupt into a blazing light that the Lord can use to dispel the darkness in your world.

Psychoanalysis and Holocaust Testimony by Dori Laub,Andreas Hamburger Pdf

Psychoanalytic work with socially traumatised patients is an increasingly popular vocation, but remains extremely demanding and little covered in the literature. In Psychoanalysis and Holocaust Testimony, a range of contributors draw upon their own clinical work, and on research findings from work with seriously disturbed Holocaust survivors, to illuminate how best to conduct clinical work with such patients in order to maximise the chances of a positive outcome, and to reflect transferred trauma for the clinician. Psychoanalysis and Holocaust Testimony closely examines the phenomenology of destruction inherent in the discourse of extreme traumatization, focusing on a particular case study: the recording of video testimonies from a group of extremely traumatized, chronically hospitalized Holocaust survivors in psychiatric institutions in Israel. This case study demonstrates how society reacts to unwanted memories, in media, history, and psychoanalysis – but it also shows how psychotherapists and researchers try to approach the buried memories of the survivors, through being receptive to shattered life narratives. Questions of bearing witness, testimony, the role of denial, and the impact of traumatic narrative on society and subsequent generations are explored. A central thread of this book is the unconscious countertransference resistance to the trauma discourse, which manifests itself in arenas that are widely apart, such as genocide denial, the "disappearance" of the hospitalized Holocaust survivors and of their life stories, mishearing their testimonies and ultimately refusing them the diagnosis of "traumatic psychosis". Psychoanalysis and Holocaust Testimony provides an essential, multidisciplinary guide to working psychoanalytically with severely traumatised patients. It will appeal to psychoanalysts, psychoanalytic psychotherapists and trauma studies therapists.

My Testimony by Mary Warburton Booth Pdf

It had never entered Mary Warburton Booth's head to be a missionary. But after working with those living in the slums of London, Mary heard God's voice say, "Will you go to India?"Mary said, "I knew everything was against my going and nothing for it except that I had heard "The Voice." So with joy, she traveled by ship to India where she spent over 35 years. One by one, Mary won women and children to Jesus. Her secret of success was prayer and total willingness to do whatever was needed to win the people. When confronted with a difficult situation, her effective solution was to spend most of the night in prayer.Mary was a personal friend of the Lord, working not only for Him, but with Him. In the forward to the book, Edith M. Brown wrote: "There was the solemn hush of His presence and His power. She was quick to recognize His voice and was never afraid to step forth in new paths when she was sure of His guidance."This testimony of this friend of God is a challenge to all who want to win others to Jesus.
