NASA Space Geodesy Program by National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Pdf

The Goddard VLBI group reports the results of analyzing 1648 Mark 3 data sets acquired from fixed and mobile observing sites through the end of 1991, and available to the Crustal Dynamics Project. Two large solutions were used to obtain Earth rotation parameters, nutation offsets, radio source positions, site positions, site velocities, and baseline evolution. Site positions are tabulated on a yearly basis for 1979 to 1995, inclusive. Site velocities are presented in both geocentric Cartesian and topocentric coordinates. Baseline evolution is plotted for 200 baselines, and individual length determinations are presented for an additional 356 baselines. This report includes 155 quasar radio sources, 96 fixed stations and mobile sites, and 556 baselines. Ryan, J. W. and Ma, C. and Caprette, D. S. The Goddard VLBI group reports the results of analyzing Mark 3 data sets acquired from 110 fixed and mobile observing sites through the end of 1992 and available to the Space Geodesy Program. Two large solutions were used to obtain site positions, site velocities, baseline evolution for 474 baselines, earth rotation parameters, nutation offsets, and radio source positions. Site velocities are presented in both geocentric Cartesian and topocentric coordinates. Baseline evolution is plotted for the 89 baselines that were observed in 1992 and positions at 1988.0 are presented for all fixed stations and mobile sites. Positions are also presented for quasar radio sources used in the solutions. Ma, Chopo and Ryan, James W. and Caprette, Douglas S. Geodesy on the Move by Rene Forsberg,Martine Feissl,Reinhard Dietrich Pdf

Based on the IAG scientific assembly in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, this volume combines papers in the fields of gravity and geoid, geodynamics, and geodesy in Antarctica. The volume contains papers on recent progress in absolute and relative gravimetry, on models of the global gravity field, theoretical developments in physical geodesy, and many examples of regional gravity field and geoid models. Geodynamics chapters include papers on earth rotation and geopotential variations, reference frames and global deformations, as well as a section on the combination of space and terrestrial methods for deformation observations. The current status of geodesy in Antarctica is illustrated by a number of papers.

Global Earth Physics by Thomas J. Ahrens Pdf

A standard reference that provides, in accessible form, selected critical data for professional and student solid Earth and planetary geophysicists. It represents the third version of the popular "Handbook of Physical Constants" (the first was published in 1942, the second in 1966). The present version reflects the enormous growth of scientific knowledge of the Earth and planets since 1966, spurred by the discovery and verification of plate tectonics and the systematic exploration of the solar system. Gravity, Geoid and Geodynamics 2000 by Michael G. Sideris Pdf

This symposium continued the tradition of mid-term meetings held between the joint symposia of International Geoid and Gravity Commissions. This time, geodynamics was chosen as the third topic to accompany the traditional topics of gravity and geoid. The symposium thus aimed at bringing together geodesists and geophysicists working in the general areas of gravity, geoid and geodynamics. Besides covering the traditional research areas, special attention was paid to the use of geodetic methods for geodynamics studies, dedicated satellite missions, airborne surveys, geodesy and geodynamics of arctic regions, and the integration of geodetic and geophysical information.
