Paradox of Conscious Healing by R. Kelley Otani Pdf

Emotional pain is interconnected with disease and pain. Ten years in the making, Paradox of Conscious Healing explores the power of both the mind and spirituality, along with mind-body healing. By providing step-by-step tools to improve happiness and health, the book will appeal to a wide range of audiences and is intended to not only help individuals with illnesses but to educate medical healthcare providers to assist their patients’ healing. Walking away from his medical practice, Dr. Otani searched to find cures for the incurable. Conventional medicine turns primarily to greater drugs and technology—but at the cost of exponentially greater expense. Dr. Otani’s journey led to the study of consciousness, psychology, and the spiritual healing practices of different religions, including those of the Native American. How was it that avatars of great spiritual traditions were able to perform miraculous healing? Paradox of Conscious Healing has been clinically tested by actual patients to verify its efficacy. Taking the book’s concepts into real life, Dr. Otani instituted a holistic program for his patients based on the concepts in this book. The program was transformative—not only for those patients but for Dr. Otani, as well. The principles presented in this book not only helped patients with their pain but in all aspects of their illness. The lessons in this book also improved the committed participant’s relationships and wealth. It is Dr. Otani’s hope that this book will do the same for you, the reader.

The Paradox of Healing by Michael Greenwood,Peter Nunn Pdf

Chronic illness presents us with an insoluable paradox, and unless that paradox is confronted, no significant healing can take place. Illness should not be cured or eradicated as a foreign agent in the body, but rather transformed as part of one's being. From this premise, this book takes a journey beyond the physical manifestations of illness to its mental and spiritual roots. Using well-known myths as vehicles to understanding the struggles and decisions that underlie illness, the authors relate these stories to both case histories and their own personal experience.

Conscious Healing by Sol Luckman Pdf

The classic, definitive book on DNA activation, CONSCIOUS HEALING, now updated and expanded with a wealth of empowering new information, is far more than the inspiring story of the development of a "revolutionary healing science" (NEXUS). An unparalleled synthesis of modern and ancient healing wisdom, this leading-edge text is essential reading for anyone interested in alternative medicine, energy healing, consciousness research, quantum biology, human evolution, or personal enlightenment. Sol Luckman's bestselling, reader-friendly narrative details his experience of chronic illness and miraculous recovery thanks to the Regenetics Method of DNA activation--offering a ray of hope to those who, like the author, have "tried everything." In addition, CONSCIOUS HEALING provides scientific substantiation for the work of alternative healers from many orientations, clearly and convincingly making the case for energy work in general. CONSCIOUS HEALING might "be the key that unlocks an entirely new way of being" (ODYSSEY Magazine, Editor's Choice Book).

Paradox of Freedom by Shiva Rahbaran Pdf

As the first book-length study of Nicholas Mosley, "The Paradox of Freedom" combines a discussion of the author's incredible biography with an investigation of his writing, nearly all of which is published by Dalkey Archive Press. The son of Oswald Mosley (the leader of Britain's fascistic Blackshirts), a British Lord, a Christian convert, a war veteran, a voracious reader, and an important thinker, Nicholas Mosley has, this book argues, employed all of these experiences and ideas in novels and memoirs that seek to describe the paradoxical nature of freedom: how can man be free when limiting structures are necessary? Can it be achieved, and how? The answer lies in the books themselves, in the ways telling and re-telling stories allows one to escape the seemingly logical bounderies of life and discover new meanings and possibilities. This is a much-needed companion to the work of one of Britain's most important post-War writers.

The Healing Paradox by Steven Goldsmith, M.D. Pdf

Why does Western medicine fail to cure chronic physical and mental illness? Why do so many treatments and drugs work only for a limited time before eventually losing effectiveness or producing harmful side effects? Dr. Steven Goldsmith's answer is at once counterintuitive and commonsensical: the root of the problem is our combative approach. Instead of resisting and fighting our ailments, we should cooperate with and even embrace them. We should look for and apply treatments that are integrated with the causes of illness, not regard illness as an enemy to conquer. This "hair of the dog" principle is already widely evident in practice. Take, for example, vaccines and inoculations, which are small doses of the microbes that cause the diseases being prevented; the use of the stimulant Ritalin to calm and ground people with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder; and radiation, which is both a well-known cause of cancer and a well-known method of treating it. These are just a few of Goldsmith's many examples, which he relays in clear, evocative, and thought-provoking language. Perhaps most compelling of all, he explores reasons why this clearly effective principle is ignored by Western medicine. Drawing on fascinating case studies and personal experiences from his forty-year career as a medical doctor and psychiatrist—as well as abundant clinical, experimental, and public health data that support his seemingly paradoxical assertion—Dr. Goldsmith presents an exciting, revolutionary approach that will change the way you think about medicine and psychotherapy.¶

The Zero Point Agreement by Julie Tallard Johnson Pdf

A practical guide to stop searching for meaning by creating meaning from within • Explains how we can only discover who we are by naming what we want to be and taking steps to make it a reality • Offers simple evidence-based methods to generate enthusiasm, creativity, and direct spiritual experience and to co-create with the natural world as our ancestors did • Presents 11 core principles for living life from within, such as how to take full responsibility for motivation and effort, express gratitude, and focus your intention Everyone wants to experience purpose and inspiration in their lives, but the search for meaning often leaves a seeker in the hands of fate. Offering a different approach to self-discovery, one where we create our meaning from within rather than seek it from the outside world, Julie Tallard Johnson shows there is a science behind personal spiritual experiences and creativity. She reveals simple evidence-based methods that can be applied to any situation to generate enthusiasm, inspiration, and direct spiritual experience and transform the inner and outer landscapes of your life. Drawing from the Heart Sutra, the I Ching, indigenous wisdom, and the teachings of the Dalai Lama, Joseph Campbell, and the Kadampa master Atisha, Johnson outlines a practice centered on what she calls the Zero Point Agreement--the realization that you are the zero point of your life, that life’s purpose comes from within. She explains how to discover who you truly are by naming what you want to be and taking steps to make it a reality. Providing 11 core principles for the Zero Point Agreement as well as thought exercises, meditations, and journaling practices, Johnson shows how to break free from negative habitual states, liberate yourself from your attachment to the behaviors of others, take full responsibility for motivation and effort, express gratitude, focus your intention, and learn to co-create with the natural world. She also explores how to transform repressed material and how to apply the Zero Point Agreement to heal both personal and global relationships. Revealing how we can tap in to the creative, creational power that lies within and around each of us, Johnson offers a spiritual technology for self-illumination, creative restructuring of your life, and manifestation of your life’s purpose.

BlindSpots by Christian de Quincey Pdf

Examines 21 unquestioned assumptions that cloud our collective consciousness • Reveals faulty thinking and conceptual blindspots that distort beliefs in science, philosophy, and spirituality--from “the universe exploded from nothing in a Big Bang” to “we create our own reality” • Explains how “thought viruses” spread as we use these clichéd assumptions in our daily communications We live in a world filled with clichés--convenient assumptions and unquestioned conclusions that many of us use without giving them a second thought. We all spread these “thought viruses,” infecting everyone we come in contact with. But many of these blindspots in how we think about ourselves and the world do not withstand rigorous scrutiny--or even casual scrutiny in some cases--yet they fall out of the mouths of scientists, religious teachers, journalists, and authors with dumbfounding frequency. Over the years philosopher Christian de Quincey spotted these cognitive gremlins in books, blogs, websites, TV shows, movies, classrooms, and casual conversations--and he wondered: Why do so many people speak before thinking, spreading ideas that make no sense, yet fool us into thinking they do? How did these unquestioned beliefs about life, space, time, energy, consciousness, evolution, artificial intelligence, and even God take hold in our collective consciousness? In this book, de Quincey deliberately provokes and illuminates the dark side of jumping to conclusions, casting a skeptical eye on 21 beliefs that keep science, philosophy, and spirituality in the dark--from “the universe exploded from nothing in a Big Bang” and “we create our own reality” to “nobody knows what consciousness is” and “everything is energy.” These ideas distort and block our understanding and openness to important questions about life, the universe, mind, matter, God, and the miraculous. By exposing these thought viruses that take our minds hostage when we fail to think things through, de Quincey aims to help change the way we think not just about thinking but also about how we live our lives, interact with others, and contemplate the world around us.

The Trinity of Trauma: Ignorance, Fragility, and Control by Ellert Nijenhuis Pdf

Enactive trauma therapy is grounded in so-called enactivism, which holds that, like anyone else, traumatized individuals are (1) embrained, embodied, and environmentally embedded; (2) constitute biopsychological organism-environment systems that are essentially interested in preserving their existence; (3) are primarily affective and oriented toward making sense of things. Individuals exhibit a phenomenal self, world, and self-of-the-world through self- and world-oriented actions. They do not act on the basis of knowledge, but possess knowledge on the basis of world-engaged sensorimotor, affect-laden, and goal-oriented actions. Whenever interpersonal traumatization by significant others occurs, individuals may get caught up in affective and relational conflicts they cannot resolve on their own. Their generation and maintenance of a trauma-related dissociation of the personality involves a kind of sense-making that supports their continued existence when their capacity to integrate traumatic experiences is still too low. However, what starts as a courageous effort to navigate a traumatizing life may at some point in time become a serious problem. Enactive trauma therapy comprises the collaboration of two organism-environment systems: the patient and the therapist. Together they spawn new meaning and adequate actions – an interaction that resembles dancing: It takes pacing, mutual attunement, good timing, a sensitivity to balance, movement and rhythm, courage, as well as the ability and willingness to follow and lead.
