Personal Discipleship by Benjamin Maira Pdf

The term discipleship comes from the word disciple. What is discipleship? Who is a disciple? These are two key questions we must answer if we want to understand personal discipleship. Discipleship is adherence to the Master and Lord's faith. Discipleship has to do with two things: following Christ and making disciples. Discipleship happens when a person believe Jesus Christ for their Salvation and continue to grow to be like him daily. A disciple on the other hand is a devoted person to the Lord Jesus Christ, an adherent or follower of the Lord's faith. Personal discipleship is for today. Personal discipleship is of God. The Holy Spirit wants you to be a disciple and make other people disciples of the Lord. To be a disciple you need to have the following: salvation, the Holy Spirit, the anointing, devotions, witnessing, local church and pastoral ministry. Personal discipleship is new life of total commitment to the Lord. I have written Personal Discipleship book with one aim: to introduce to you the best thing in the world, which is to know the Lord and make Him known to multitude of souls (Making New Disciples). Also like Jesus Christ brought to us two things: apostleship and discipleship, you too may be able to do these two things in your lifetime. Notice: Discipleship is to find and follow the Lord, while Apostleship is sending away for the gospel and the work of the Lord.

The Purple Book, Updated Edition by Rice Broocks,Steve Murrell Pdf

In today's uncertain world, storms will arise that test your faith in a loving heavenly Father. At times, the winds and waves of the world's deceptions will roll in and seek to erode your confidence in God. Without a firm foundation in the truth of God's Word, you may be tempted to go off course and accept less than God's best for you. However, when you hear Jesus' words, receive them, and put them into practice, you will construct a life the torrents cannot shake, "because it was well built" (Luke 6:48). The Purple Book will help you understand foundational truths that God wants you to hear on topics such as sin, salvation, spiritual gifts, prayer, worship, generosity, and evangelism. It will show you how the Bible is "God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness" (2 Timothy 3:16). It will help you understand that the faith you hold has true power to change lives and transform nations. It will give you a solid foundation the enemy cannot dismantle—and a heart shaped by knowledge of God's Word.

The Lost Art of Disciple Making by LeRoy Eims Pdf

"Every believer in Jesus Christ deserves the opportunity of personal nurture and development." says LeRoy Eims. But all too often the opportunity isn't there. We neglect the young Christian in our whirl of programs, church services, and fellowship groups. And we neglect to raise up workers and leaders who can disciple young believers into mature and fruitful Christians. In simple, practical, and biblical terms, LeRoy Eims revives the lost art of disciple making. He explains: - How the early church discipled new Christians - How to meet the basic needs of a growing Christian - How to spot and train potential workers - How to develop mature, godly leaders "True growth takes time and tears and love and patience," Eims states. There is no instant maturity. This book examines the growth process in the life of a Christian and considers what nurture and guidance it takes to develop spiritually qualified workers in the church.

Discipleship on Fire by Scott Thom Pdf

When the New Testament Church started it grew rapidly, but there were no churches. Disciples met in homes, yet Christianity exploded all around the world. How did the apostles do it? They built people not buildings. They poured themselves into others who in turn mentored even more. It was a strong, solid church that withstood persecution and hardships. This book is a step-by-step Biblical system to disciple anyone. If you are a parent, teacher, coach, or especially a leader in the church you will find this book a continual reference. You can recapture the essence of how Jesus trained for success. The apostle Paul said, Follow me as I follow Christ. It is a simple principle, but if followed, it will set your world on fire.

Discipleship on the Edge by Darrell W. Johnson Pdf

Revelation is probably the most read, but least understood book of the Bible. History is replete with examples of how not to interpret it, and books featuring end-of-world prophecy claims based on Revelation consistently top the bestseller lists. But how can the message of such an enigmatic book be applied to our lives today? In Discipleship on the Edge, Darrell W. Johnson drives home the challenging and practical message of Revelation in thirty carefully crafted sermons. Paying careful attention to the original context of Revelation and the circumstances surrounding its composition, Johnson shows that the book is not a "crystal ball" but rather a "discipleship manual." Thoroughly researched and yet accessible, this collection of sermons is a helpful resource for pastors and small group leaders who are looking for models to help them preach and teach the message of Revelation in a time when there is much confusion about the end times. Darrell W. Johnson serves as Scholar-in-Residence at The Way Church and Canadian Church Leaders Network in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. A popular conference and retreat speaker, he has also served as the preaching pastor for a number of congregations in North America and the Philippines, as well as serving as Adjunct Professor of Preaching for the Doctor of Ministry program at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California, and a Teaching Fellow at Regent College. His other books include Experiencing the Trinity and Fifty-Seven Words That Change The World.

The Rhythm of Discipleship by Luther D. Ivory Pdf

In this volume, Luther Ivory reflects on how to live the call to discipleship as an individual and as a community. He describes the significance of active listening in the invitational rhythm of call and response and clarifies the biblical mandate for individuals and the church to respond to the call to join God in the struggle against evil and to establish righteousness in the world. Ultimately, he demonstrates for readers how to live a "life of engaged piety," which links reverence for God to the act of confronting injustice. The Foundations of Christian Faith series enables readers to learn about contemporary theology in ways that are clear, enjoyable, and meaningful. It examines the doctrines of the Christian faith and stimulates readers not only to think more deeply about their faith but also to understand their faith in relationship to contemporary challenges and questions. Individuals and study groups alike will find these guides invaluable in their search for depth and integrity in their Christian faith.
