Computed Tomography of the Brain by Georges Salamon,Y.P. Huang Pdf

This book is a supplementary volume to our previous work Radiologic Anatomy of the Brain (Springer 1976). The introduction of direct CT sections in horizontal and more recently in frontal or modified frontal planes, the use of reconstruction to indirectly obtain sagittal, parasagittal, and frontal CT images, and the visualization of the ventricular system, sulci, or cisterns with injection of metrizamide have led us to prepare this monograph. The full benefit of CT scanning can only be obtained from an accurate three-dimensional concept of anatomic structures of the brain including sulci, cisterns, ventricles, and deep nuclei. This may be achieved by studying in detail serial sections of the skull and brain in multidirectional planes. CT scanning, the single most important noninvasive diagnostic innovation in recent years, has widely changed the practice of neuroradiology. Indeed, neuroradiology remains a most fascinating field in the study of anatomy of the brain in vivo. The first part of this book is devoted to sagittal and parasagittal sections, the second part to frontal and modified frontal sections, and the final part to horizontal and modified horizontal sections of the skull and brain. Each anatomic section is accompanied by its corresponding radiograph of the same slice as well as by CT sections in the same plane. July 1980 G. S.

Pocket Atlas of Head and Neck MRI Anatomy by Robert B. Lufkin Pdf

The thoroughly revised Second Edition of this popular and widely used pocket atlas is a quick, handy guide to head and neck anatomy as seen in state-of-the-art magnetic resonance images. This edition presents 158 new high-resolution images of all major areas--the neck, larynx, oropharynx, tongue, nasopharynx, skull base, sinuses, temporal bone, orbit, and temporomandibular joint--displayed in axial, sagittal, and coronal planes. Anatomic landmarks on each scan are labeled with numbers that correlate to a key at the top of the page. An illustration alongside the key indicates the plane.Praise for the previous edition:"A nice introduction for practicing radiologists who are new to MR of the no-man's land between the skull base and thoracic inlet. Imaging of the head and neck is a growing segment of many radiology practices, and familiarity with this type of normal anatomy is necessary....This is a nice and inexpensive guide to keep at hand in film-viewing areas."--American Journal of Roentgenology

TNM Staging Atlas with Oncoanatomy by Philip Rubin,John T. Hansen Pdf

The Second Edition of TNM Staging Atlas with Oncoanatomy has been updated to include all new cancer staging information from the Seventh Edition of the AJCC Cancer Staging Manual. The atlas presents cancer staging in a highly visual rapid-reference format, with clear full-color diagrams and TNM stages by organ site. The illustrations are three-dimensional, three-planar cross-sectional presentations of primary anatomy and regional nodal anatomy. They show the anatomic features identifiable on physical and/or radiologic examination and the anatomic extent of cancer spread which is the basis for staging. A color code indicates the spectrum of cancer progression at primary sites (T) and lymph node regions (N). The text then rapidly reviews metastatic spread patterns and their incidence. For this edition, CT or MRI images have been added to all site-specific chapters to further detail cancer spread and help plan treatment. Staging charts have been updated to reflect changes in AJCC guidelines, and survival curves from AJCC have been added.

Human Sectional Anatomy by Harold Ellis,Bari M Logan,Adrian K. Dixon Pdf

First published in 1991, Human Sectional Anatomy set new standards for the quality of cadaver sections and accompanying radiological images. Now in its third edition, this unsurpassed quality remains and is further enhanced by some useful new material. As with the previous editions, the superb full-colour cadaver sections are compared with CT and MRI images, with accompanying, labelled line diagrams. Many of the radiological images have been replaced with new examples, taken on the most up-to date equipment to ensure excellent visualisation of the anatomy. Completely new page spreads have been added to improve the book's coverage, including images taken using multidetector CT technology, and some beautiful 3D volume rendered CT images. The photographic material is enhanced by useful notes, extended for the third edition, with details of important anatomical and radiological features.
