Prayer Points for Pastors by Audrey L. Dowling Pdf

In November 2013, Pastor Teddy Parker was found dead by his wife, Larrinecia Parker, in the driveway of their home with a "self-inflicted gunshot wound" hours after he had sent her and his two daughters ahead of him to church, then failed to show up. It was later revealed that he had been battling manic depression until his death. Since that time, over 30more pastors have committed suicide. These men and women of God face many challenges that could potentially affect every aspect of their lives. As the Body of Christ, most of us have not been cultured to automatically pray for our pastors. Pastors dont always ask for prayers and many members may not feel comfortable praying for them. We need a renewed culture where prayer for the pastor is encouraged and taught. Pastors need to have specific, anointed, and focused prayer going on for them regularly. Prayer Points for Pastors: A Tool for Pastors and Their Intercessors will help both pastors and their intercessors alike by offering prayer points that may be important to pray for or about for pastors.

The New Reformation by Shai Linne Pdf

In the sixteenth century, the church faced a doctrinal crisis. Today, the crisis is race. We all know that racial unity is important. But what’s the right way to approach it? How can Christians of different ethnicities pursue unity in an environment that is so highly charged and full of landmines on all sides? In The New Reformation, Christian hip-hop artist Shai Linne shows how the gospel applies to the pursuit of ethnic unity. When it comes to ethnicity, Christians today have to fight against two tendencies: idolatry and apathy. Idolatry makes ethnicity ultimate, while apathy tends to ignore it altogether. But there is a third way, the way of the Bible. Shai explains how ethnicity—the biblical word for what we mean by “race”—exists for God’s glory. Drawing from his experience as an artist-theologian, church planter, and pastor, Shai will help you chart a new way forward in addressing the critical question of what it means for people of all ethnicities to be the one people of God.

Prayer Revolution by John Smed Pdf

Are you praying constricted prayers or disruptive ones? Most prayers are constricted ones. They’re prayers that only focus on one part of the Lord’s Prayer: “give us our daily bread.” They’re usually focused on self and envision God as a heavenly caretaker. Disruptive prayers, on the other hand, are powerful, uncommon, and deeply biblical. They focus on God rather than self, seek to advance the kingdom, and submit all things to God. They are also prayed with a profound belief that prayer actually accomplishes something. When we pray disruptive prayers, that’s when the revolution begins. This book shows you how to equip leaders, fuel kingdom movements, and do real damage to the powers of darkness in the here and now. But most of all, discover how your own heart will be transformed as you begin to see how much bigger prayer, and God, is than you ever thought possible.

Pray for the Flock by Brian Croft,Ryan Fullerton Pdf

“Brothers, pray for us.” (1 Thessalonians 5:25). The Apostle Paul’s letters are filled with references to prayer—requests for prayer from the churches, prayers for them, and teaching and encouragement that God was working through these prayers. Pastors and church leaders know that prayer is powerful and it must be a priority in any ministry, yet many pastors struggle to maintain an active prayer life. Even more difficult is the challenge of praying for the flock, lifting up the needs of the people God has placed in your care. The Practical Shepherding series of guides provides pastors and ministry leaders with practical help to do the work of pastoral ministry in a local church. In Pray for the Flock, pastors Brian Croft and Ryan Fullerton provide biblical encouragement, practical advice, and helpful suggestions that will help busy pastors effectively pray for their people and care for their church through the ministry of intercession.

From Topic to Thesis by Michael Kibbe Pdf

While courses in Bible and theology typically require research papers, particularly at the graduate level, very few include training in research. Professors have two options: use valuable class time to teach students as much as they can, or lower their standards with the understanding that students cannot be expected to complete tasks for which they have never been prepared. From Topic to Thesis: A Guide to Theological Research offers a third option. This affordable and accessible tool walks students through the process, focusing on five steps: finding direction, gathering sources, understanding issues, entering discussion and establishing a position. Its goal is to take students directly from a research assignment to a research argument—in other words, from topic to thesis.

Forty Prayer Points for Tithe Payers by Bishop O. Innocent Pdf

WHY THIS BOOK? It is to further guide the young pastor in feeding and growing the church under his care. Our Lord Jesus Christ did not just ask us to pray in his name, he also says that we must not pray amiss. When we pray amiss, the entire exercise becomes wasted and no one wants to waste his time and effort. The Bible says iron sharpens iron. In writing this book, the author has in mind that the pastor already knows what the scripture says about tithing but may not be conscious of the various angles through which the devourer attacks tithe payers. My observation is that in most churches visited, barely five minutes are spent praying for tithe payers. However, if we are to pray for these set of vital members as they deserve more time is needed and such time must be maximally spent in touching all relevant areas without splitting hairs. Ministry has only three main pillars: 1. Anointing - which brings these people. 2. Integrity. - which keeps or sends them away. 3. Money. - which enables us to noise the gospel abroad. It is my candid opinion that none of these vital areas of ministry deserves to be treated with levity. However, it has been observed that we spend a lot of time on the first two, particularly Anointing, while barely mentioning Money in our prayers for various reasons some of which I wish to state below: 1. We fear of being accused of being money conscious. 2. Some us believe that Anointing will pull in all needed resources. 3. Some of us just believe that money and issues pertaining to money are so unimportant that they should not even be mentioned in our prayers. Well, the book is about those who contribute money to the church and the kind of prayers we recommend for their good. Prayer as you and I know is communication and one of the hallmarks of good and proper communication is being specific. It is therefore not apt to just say father bless those who pay tithes in this church. We have to be specific about the areas of the tithe payers' lives we want God to intervene and the nature of intervention. Seeing that man is being increasingly short of time, we have deliberately kept this book as short and simple as can be hence the little volume. It is my prayers that this book helps in more ways than imaginable; to expand and enliven your intercession, which indeed is my goal. Let us not forget at all that he that waters shall surely be watered and that as you water the tithe payers, they will wax stronger and become more of a blessing to the work of God. Happy reading!
