Ada 95, the enhanced version of the Ada programming language, is now in place and has attracted much attention in the community since the International Standard ISO/IEC 8652:1995(E) for the language was approved in 1995. The Ada 95 Rationale comes in four parts. The introductory part is a general discussion of the scope and objectives of Ada 95 and its major technical features. The second part contains a more detailed step by step account of the core language. The third part consists of several annexes addressing the predefined environment and specialized application areas. Finally, the three appendices of the fourth part are devoted to the upward compatibility with Ada 83, a few changes since the drafts of the standard were made public, and a summary of requirements.
Ada 2005 is the latest version of the International Standard for the programming language Ada. This book describes not only the changes from Ada 95 but also the reason for the changes.
Written for readers familiar with at least one procedural programming language. Focus is on novel aspects of Ada. Includes an ATandT diskette of examples. Annotation copyrighted by Book News, Inc., Portland, OR
Introduction to Software Engineering by Ronald J. Leach Pdf
Practical Guidance on the Efficient Development of High-Quality Software Introduction to Software Engineering, Second Edition equips students with the fundamentals to prepare them for satisfying careers as software engineers regardless of future changes in the field, even if the changes are unpredictable or disruptive in nature. Retaining the same organization as its predecessor, this second edition adds considerable material on open source and agile development models. The text helps students understand software development techniques and processes at a reasonably sophisticated level. Students acquire practical experience through team software projects. Throughout much of the book, a relatively large project is used to teach about the requirements, design, and coding of software. In addition, a continuing case study of an agile software development project offers a complete picture of how a successful agile project can work. The book covers each major phase of the software development life cycle, from developing software requirements to software maintenance. It also discusses project management and explains how to read software engineering literature. Three appendices describe software patents, command-line arguments, and flowcharts.
The Concurrent C Programming Language by Narain Gehani,William D. Roome Pdf
Concurrent C is a superset of C that provides parallel programming facilities such as those for the declaring and creating processes, for process synchronization and interaction, and for process termination and abortion. Concurrent C was designed for the effective utilization of multiprocessors and multicomputers. Concurrent C, as a compile-time option, also works with C++, an object-oriented superset of C.
This the fifth issue of the annual publication organized by ADA UK. The intended audience includes managers (needing contact addresses and access to information about ADA products), software and systems engineers using ADA or those intending to use it, requiring detailed technical information about the language. Moreover, those readers new to ADA will be able to gain useful insights about the language and its evolution.

System Development and Ada by A. Nico Habermann,Ugo Montanari Pdf
The collection of papers published in this book was initially presented at the Workshop on Software Factories and Ada, held on Capri, May 26-30, 1986. The subject of the book is software development environments. Software development is treated from three viewpoints: methodologies, language issues and mechanisms. Of particular interest are the discussions of automation of the development process and the formalization of software development specifications. Several new methodologies are described, many of which are available on the commercial market. New is in particular the formalization of the design and development process. Interesting ideas are presented on planning the design process and on supporting project management by formal tools. The reader will find a variety of interesting methodologies and mechanisms that are operational. The book is suitable for readers interested in knowing in which direction programming environment research is moving.
Object-oriented Technology For Database And Software Systems by V S Alagar,Rokia Missaoui Pdf
Object orientation has become a “must know” subject for managers, researchers, and software practitioners interested in the design, evolution, reuse and management of efficient software components. The book contains technical papers reflecting both theoretical and practical contributions from researchers in the field of object-oriented (OO) databases and software engineering systems. The book identifies actual and potential areas of integration of OO and database technologies, current and future research directions in software methodologies, and reflections about the OO paradigm. In providing current research and relevant information about this promising and rapidly growing field of object-oriented databases and software engineering systems, this book is invaluable to research scientists, practitioners, and graduate students working in the areas of databases and software engineering.
