For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts" Isaiah 55:8,9. God has a reason why some read through pictures, some only words, and yet others who like both together. It is so good to look at the book to see the pictures with the words and feel the spirit of God satisfying our inmost being.
