Today, there are more than twenty complete zodiacs in Washington, D.C., each one pointing to an extraordinary mystery. David Ovason, who has studied these astrological devices for ten years, now reveals why they have been placed in such abundance in the center of our nation's capital and explains their interconnections. His richly illustrated text tells the story of how Washington, from its foundation in 1791, was linked with the zodiac, with the meaning of certain stars, and with a hidden cosmological symbolism that he uncovers here for the first time. Fascinating and thoroughly researched, The Secret Architecture of Our Nation 's Capital is an engrossing book that raises provocative questions and otters complex insights into the meanings behind the mysterious symbols in Washington.

Secret Documents of Intelligence Branch on Father of The Nation, Bangladesh: Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by Sheikh Hasina Pdf

Secret Documents of Intelligence Branch on Father of the Nation, Bangladesh: Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, is a 14-volume set of declassified documents edited by Sheikh Hasina, Honorable Prime Minister of Bangladesh. These are a compilation of the files maintained by the Intelligence Branch of Pakistan Government on Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, who emerged as the sole leader of the country and became Bangabandhu (Friend of Bangladesh). For his long-standing struggle and contribution in fostering notions of Bengali nationhood that led to the independence of Bangladesh, he has been honored as the Father of the Nation. The volumes provide records for period 1948 to 1971 and chronologically elucidate the trajectory of the various movements and political struggles that led to the formation of an independent nation state called People's Republic of Bangladesh. These include the 1952 Bengali Language Movement that catalyzed the assertion of Bengali national identity in the region and became a forerunner to Bengali nationalist movements. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman led the struggle for independence, first through massive populist and civil disobedience movements and later during the Bangladesh Liberation War. Important events cited in the present volumes include the 1954 United Front election victory, 1966 Six Point Movement, 1968 Agartala Conspiracy Case, 1969 mass uprising, 1970 election victory and 1971 Non-Cooperation Movement among others. These are the first ever declassified documents released by the Government of Bangladesh and will serve as an invaluable historical resource in understanding the liberation of Bangladesh. This 7th volume holds records for the period 1962-1963.

Spontaneous Combustion by Miles Gentry Pdf

Shattering the dogmatic interpretations long held by the "churches," the author has revisited many of the Bible's mysteries, and now presents the esoteric truths contained within. An intentionally non-religious work, though dealing with core issues of religion and spirituality, this book proves to be both unique and profound. Drawing from the study of sacred texts, religious myth and symbols, from the study of metaphysics, psychology, and various occult teachings of the mystery schools, the author has presented a solid case for what he declares to be the true message of the ancients. Simply stated, Mankind is "in the Dark." That we are in the dark, though we aren't aware of it, is the basic premise of the book. That there is a solution, a system of personal rebirth is the initial message. Following a logical trail of investigation determined by the evidence presented, the reader arrives at the crossroads of prophecy and reality altogether.

In God We Trust by Michael Shea Pdf

This book is a unique look into God's hand in American history, viewed through the life of George Washington. The book reflects the providential view that Washington and other Founding Fathers had of the God of history (God of Abraham). The book attempts to document God's hand in Washington's life and the Revolutionary War using Washington's own words and detailing the numerous micarcles that led to the country's eventual independence and subsequent constitution. The book also explores the country's reason for existence, God's purpose in the founding of the United States, and what it portends for our future survival as a nation.

Chocolate City by Chris Myers Asch,George Derek Musgrove Pdf

Monumental in scope and vividly detailed, Chocolate City tells the tumultuous, four-century story of race and democracy in our nation's capital. Emblematic of the ongoing tensions between America's expansive democratic promises and its enduring racial realities, Washington often has served as a national battleground for contentious issues, including slavery, segregation, civil rights, the drug war, and gentrification. But D.C. is more than just a seat of government, and authors Chris Myers Asch and George Derek Musgrove also highlight the city's rich history of local activism as Washingtonians of all races have struggled to make their voices heard in an undemocratic city where residents lack full political rights. Tracing D.C.'s massive transformations--from a sparsely inhabited plantation society into a diverse metropolis, from a center of the slave trade to the nation's first black-majority city, from "Chocolate City" to "Latte City--Asch and Musgrove offer an engaging narrative peppered with unforgettable characters, a history of deep racial division but also one of hope, resilience, and interracial cooperation.
