Secrets of the Damanhur Political System by Coboldo Melo Pdf

The philosophy and political system of the first forty years of Damanhur, Federation of Communities, is an original and unpredictable journey inspired by the participatory democracy of the Greek polis. Elected roles, responsibilities and human relations form a community that brings to life a new social model in continuous transformation. Now, in the new Millennium and in the land of Olivetti’s dream, Astronavi (spaceships) have arrived, clusters of small communities overflowing with ambitious projects. Damanhur, with more than forty years of history and over a thousand members worldwide, is a social and spiritual experience with many stories to tell. “Damanhur Con Te” is a way to collect, share and bring home pieces of the wisdom—or the unconsciousness, depending on how you look at it—that has guided us on this adventure.

Damanhur by Jeff Merrifield Pdf

Damanhur in Italy has for nearly 45 years been an experiment in human consciousness and in this fully illustrated book Jeff Merrifield outlines the exciting discoveries that the community is making. Short steps for humans, a giant leap for humankind. For more than four decades the spiritual-artistic community of Damanhur has grown from humble beginnings to become a prime mover in terms of spiritual research and the ecological protection of the planet. A group of people which has remained a stable and active entity over all those years, they have developed a sociological tool to enhance their shared experiences, the concept of a Superindividual, where groups of people or even whole communities become as one, and function and create as one. The best news is, Damanhur is opening out to the world. It will no longer be a closed and introspective collective, but will be sharing its discoveries with humanity at large. Already, groups of indigenous peoples are treading a path to Damanhur, sharing shamanic knowledge and forming mutual bonds on a mission to save the planet and make the world a better place. An ambitious and exciting programme of new building has already started in and around the now famous Temples of Humankind. At the same time, Damanhur is going out into the world, establishing active centres around the globe, as far afield as Iceland and Australia, not as clones of the Italian version, but as thriving vibrant entities in their own right. It's an inspiration to families, to workplaces, to other communities and to movements like Extinction Rebellion. How do we transform society from the ground up? How can we both flourish as individuals and work together in community for a common cause? This book will show you how.

Falco Tarassaco - The Dream, The Message by Stambecco Pesco Pdf

Positive thought, openness to others, the search for the deep meanings of life, pragmatism... these are the base elements of the spiritual message of Falco Tarassaco (Oberto Airaudi, 1950-2013). Eclectic, creative and profound, Falco was the founder of a school of thought that touches countless themes and has given life to the community experience of Damanhur in Italy and around the world. This book presents the fundamental elements of his spiritual guidance, from the discovery of the divine nature of the human being, to our relationship with the environment, and all the way to the development of a sense of wonder and the indispensable curiosity to understand the language of the universe. His dream and his message show his extraordinary capacity to bring together tradition and renewal-two pillars upon which to found our personal and collective future.

Ecovillages by Karen T. Litfin Pdf

In a world of dwindling natural resources and mounting environmental crisis, who is devising ways of living that will work for the long haul? And how can we, as individuals, make a difference? To answer these fundamental questions, Professor Karen Litfin embarked upon a journey to many of the world’s ecovillagesÑintentional communities at the cutting-edge of sustainable living. From rural to urban, high tech to low tech, spiritual to secular, she discovered an under-the-radar global movement making positive and radical changes from the ground up. In this inspiring and insightful book, Karen Litfin shares her unique experience of these experiments in sustainable living through four broad windows - ecology, economics, community, and consciousness - or E2C2. Whether we live in an ecovillage or a city, she contends, we must incorporate these four key elements if we wish to harmonize our lives with our home planet. Not only is another world possible, it is already being born in small pockets the world over. These micro-societies, however, are small and time is short. Fortunately - as Litfin persuasively argues - their successes can be applied to existing social structures, from the local to the global scale, providing sustainable ways of living for generations to come. The Encyclopedic Sourcebook of New Age Religions by James R. Lewis Pdf

In the late 1980s, the New Age movement became the focus of both media attention and widespread ridicule as some of the more outlandish aspects of the movement, such as channeling and the use of crystals for healing, briefly piqued the public’s curiosity. While the movement was at its height, scholars of religion generally sneered at what was perceived to be a daffy, shallow craze, and ignored it as a subject of serious study. Professor James R. Lewis was among the first to examine this growing religious phenomenon scientifically. In previous books, he has investigated the New Age as the most visible manifestation of a significant spiritual subculture, the roots of which reach back to Theosophy, Spiritualism, and New Thought. The present collection pursues this theme, bringing together some of the best recent scholarship on new religions. Since the height of its popular influence the New Age has declined in strength but has given rise to a plethora of new denominations all shaped by New Age ideas and spirituality. Reflecting the emergence of this new denominational structure, the core chapters of this book focus on specific groups. Other chapters examine the movement’s historical roots. A unique feature of Dr. Lewis’s work is his inclusion of extensive selections from New Age literature, thus allowing readers to experience firsthand the unusual perspectives of the various groups. This is a fascinating examination of a significant and persistent religious and social phenomenon.

Contemporary Spiritualities by Stefania Palmisano,Nicola Pannofino Pdf

Contemporary alternative spirituality, as studied by sociologists, is usually seen as a recent phenomenon dating from the 1960s and 1970s. However, when viewed from a longer-term perspective this form of religious expression is actually seen to reintroduce concepts that recur throughout Western cultural history. This book argues, therefore, that spirituality in the 21st Century actually shares many of the same characteristics as Classical, Mediaeval, Renaissance and Modern spiritualities. It is neither entirely new, nor is it clearly alternative to more established religions. The book is divided into two parts. The first sets out the context in which contemporary alternative spirituality has formed, charting its development as an academic term and a social phenomenon. The second part looks at how these two elements have developed in countries that are historically Catholic, focussing on specific examples in contemporary Italy: spiritualities based on the sacralisation of nature; those concerned with health and wellbeing; and those which are fascinated by mystery.Catholic majority countries are particularly interesting in this instance, as the Catholic Church has a unique cultural hegemony with which to compare alternative spiritual practices. It concludes that spirituality, if framed in a longer historical perspective, is a way of acting and seeing the world which was built, and continues to be built upon complex relations with various contradictory sources of authority, such as religion, magic thinking, secularism, rationalism, various spheres of lay culture. This is a bold take on the spirituality milieu and as such will be of great interest to scholars of Religious Studies working on the sociology of religion, contemporary spirituality and the rise of the "spiritual but not religious".

Debating Imaginal Politics by Suzi Adams,Jeremy C. A. Smith Pdf

Chiara Bottici’s influential work on imaginal politics has provided a rich theoretical framework and incisive critical analysis with which to engage the contemporary world. Rethinking the image as a pictorial space of political activity located between the poles of the creative imagination of the self and social imaginary significations of the social collective, her work has provided a critical new resource not only in the academy, but for activists as well. This collection of essays by leading scholars debates Bottici’s account of imaginal politics from inter-disciplinary perspectives, ranging from critical theory and political philosophy, to psychoanalysis, and sociology. It provides the first systematic and interdisciplinary engagement with the imaginal field. The book is a must-read for all scholars interested in debates on the political, social transformation, social imaginaries, and the imagination, and will appeal to researchers and graduate students across a wide variety of disciplines as well as activists and politically-engaged readers.

2012: A Clarion Call by Nicolya Christi Pdf

Our “rise” depends on higher consciousness and raised vibration as well as the expanded awareness of a critical mass of people. As humanity enters the evolutionary transition from Homo sapiens to Homo luminous--from 3rd-dimensional human beings to 5th-dimensional beings of light--we are being called to fully participate in the dawn of a New World built upon unconditional love, co-support, cooperation, equality, unity, peace, justice, and sustainability. Sounding the clarion call for a global shift in consciousness starting at a personal level, Nicolya Christi presents a step-by-step guide to healing and transforming your inner world--an essential step toward co-creating a world shift as we head toward the tipping point of 2012. She offers core psychological insights and exercises, spiritual teachings, guided visualizations, and a concise overview of the spiritual and astronomical events surrounding 2012, as well as identifying the signs and symptoms of the 12 different stages of ascension, a process that millions are currently experiencing as we approach the global spiritual awakening of 2012. She explains how to clear past-life, ancestral, and current trauma imprints lodged within your energy field to accelerate the process of conscious evolution and ascension. Revealing that many people chose to reincarnate in this lifetime as “midwives” to help birth the New World, this book provides a way to rediscover your soul’s higher purpose, thus serving your own evolutionary journey as well as that of the Earth.
