In some the of the Lords churches today, not only have many come in the spirit and power of Elijah (Luke 1:17). Many have actually come in the spirit and power of the Pharisees, the teachers of the law and Judas, Pharaoh, Aaron, Saul, Hophni and Phineas, Absalom, Rehoboam, Jeroboam, Ahab and, Balak and Balaam. What the Holy Spirit led me to do was to write this book to expose how the craftiness of Satan and the selfish agenda in the hearts of many (Satans apostles) is destroying the gospel and the church of Christ, and also, to open the eyes of those who are being deceived in these last days. As result of selfish gain in the hearts of a very few, many of the Lords churches today are no longer seen as Pentecostal, but as Plenty-cost-all churches and ministries. In Evangelicalism, Richard Kyle explores paradoxical adjustments and transformations in the relationship between conservative Protestant Evangelicalism and contemporary American culture. Evangelicals have resisted many aspects of the modern world, but Kyle focuses on what he considers their romance with popular culture. Kyle sees this as an Americanized Christianity rather than a Christian America, but the two are so intertwined that it is difficult to discern the difference between them.
