Training Spirit-Filled Local Church Leaders for the Twenty-First Century by Ray Miller Pdf

Who decides what your church (local or denominational) will look like twenty-five or thirty years from now? How can you ensure that your church will continue to fulfill its God-given purpose in the next generation? What can be done now to reverse negative trends in ministry such as pastoral burnout? Much of the answer to these questions about pastors and other local church leaders is tied to the training they receive. Training Spirit-Filled Local Church Leaders for the Twenty-First Century encourages all stakeholders in ministry training—educators, pastors and other local church leaders, church members, and those who sense God is calling them to ministry—to prayerfully consider the foundational issues that determine the effectiveness and relevance of a ministry training program. These foundational issues are: •What is the local church, really? •What is spiritual leadership? •What is ministry training? •What is the role of the Holy Spirit in all this? •What did effective training look like in the past, and what might it look like in the twenty-first century?

The Spirit-Led Leader by Timothy C. Geoffrion Pdf

In our postmodern, experience-oriented culture, people are longing for greater authenticity, integrity, and depth in their pastors and leaders. Board directors, church members, and staff alike are all eagerly seeking leaders who effectively integrate their spirituality and leadership. Pastors and executives, however, often struggle with knowing how to integrate their spiritual values and practices into their leadership and management roles. Designed for pastors, executives, administrators, managers, coordinators, and all who see themselves as leaders and who want to fulfill their God-given purpose, The Spirit-Led Leader addresses the critical fusion of spiritual life and leadership for those who not only want to see results, but who also desire to care just as deeply about who they are and how they lead as they do about what they produce and accomplish. Geoffrion creates a new vision for spiritual leadership as partly an art, partly a result of careful planning, and always a working of the grace of God

Spirit-Led Preaching by Greg Heisler Pdf

Preaching simply does not happen apart from the Holy Spirit. In fact, preaching is the Spirit's ministry! Spirit-Led Preaching helps readers understand preaching from the Spirit's point of view and teaches about the Spirit's role in both the preparation and delivery process, showing what it means to be truly empowered by the Spirit when you preach. It also explains the crucial connection between Word and Spirit as they depend on each other to bring about spiritual transformation in the lives of the congregation. This revised edition includes a new chapter on the congregation’s role in relationship to the Spirit and preaching—a subject not often mentioned in books on preaching. Spirit-led Preaching is a book written by a pastor to pastors and students of preaching and is filled with personal examples from the author’s own preaching ministry. It has encouraged both novice students of preaching as well as seasoned pulpit veterans for over a decade. In 2007, Spirit-Led Preaching won first place for the Pastor’s Soul category from Christianity Today magazine.

Spiritual Identity and Spirit-Empowered Life by Thomson K Mathew Pdf

The world loves to place labels on people-even on followers of Christ. It's difficult to see yourself as God sees you. But Thomson K. Mathew has created a three-dimensional model of Holy Spirit-empowered Christian identity that allows believers to remain whole in a broken world. Part 1, "Discovering Your Identity in God's Family," discusses the importance of your identity as a child of God, a disciple of Jesus, a citizen of God's kingdom, and a person made whole through faith. Part 2, "Discovering Your Purpose in God's Call," discusses your calling as a hope-filled healer, believer, worshipper, leader, missionary, and prophet. Part 3, "Discovering Your Power in God's Spirit," dives into your position as the temple of the Holy Spirit, your gifts and blessings, and your place among God's living saints. Mathew ends his book with a call to action focusing on your God-given anointing and empowerment through the Holy Spirit to fulfill your specific purpose on Earth. God wants you to know who you are in Him. Mathew's prayer is that you'll begin to see your own beauty and purpose so that you may walk in the knowledge that you are a powerful child of God!

21st CENTURY CHURCH by Benjamin Maira Pdf

The Church of God with Strength In the New Testament times, there was a strong church at Ephesus. The church at Ephesus is today's model of strong church. Paul started the church at Ephesus with great ministry and open doors for the gospel. The church at Ephesus was strong because of the Holy Spirit, Prayer, the Word of God, Faith and the Name of Jesus Christ. After Paul went to be with the Lord and all other witnesses of Jesus Christ and ministers of the word, many churches became weak and they lost their strength and impact. But the church at Ephesus continued to be strong in the Lord and in the ministry. The apostle Paul left a young minister and witness, Timothy continued His ministry. Timothy is respected and recognized as a pastor of the church at Ephesus. Timothy was instructed by pastoral Epistles of Paul (1 and 2 Timothy). Timothy was servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, as a key pastor of this great church. The gift of ministry in his life, he received it by prophecy through the laying on of hands by presbytery. The aim to write this book: 21st Century Church, is to strengthen the people of God. Do not be weak, but be strong in the Lord and in the ministry. God has given you the gift of ministry. Be strong in your gift and serve the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord Jesus Christ who is strong in power and grace is able to strengthen you in all things. In reading 21st Century Church, you will learn about: Jesus Christ and Church, Sound Ministry, Dynamic Holy Spirit, Divine Word and Strong Church. As you read my book on Church strength, may you find strength on your spirit, soul and body. May you be strong in the Lord. May your church also be strong. May the church of today, be the church of strength and longevity.

Increasing the Knowledge of Baptism in the Holy Spirit by Dr. Sunday Omotosho Pdf

Too often, Jesus Christ is central to the theology of the Church but hardly central in the way we do Church. This scholarly work, Increasing the Knowledge of Baptism in the Holy Spirit, is a refreshing insight and a powerful corrective to the Church, who must continually correlate the ministry of the Lord Jesus with the person and work of the Holy Spirit. In this scholarly work, Dr. Sunday Omotosho lays out the intriguing concept of examining the rich, scripture-based excellence of a Holy Spirit-baptized Church, affirming that when the Word of God on the baptism of the Holy Spirit is increasingly taught and applied to God's people, the Church becomes the powerhouse God intended it to be. Drawing upon scripture and personal experiences, the author presents an enlightening look at how God wants to use His Church mightily in this momentous period of the world through the baptism of the Holy Spirit, providing practical steps towards achieving that. Increasing The Knowledge Of Baptism In The Holy Spirit is foundational, practical, and helpful for Christian and Church leaders. It will make you rethink much of what you think you know about the Holy Spirit, the body of Christ, and God's mission to the world.

Toward a Twenty-First Century Biblical, Apostolic Church by SuYeon Yoon Pdf

This book explores biblical values that critique the ecclesiology of the New Apostolic Reformation Church (NARC) and compares the ecclesiology to other missional movements in the North American context. A biblical exegesis of Ephesians 4:11–13 as well as C. Peter Wagner’s conceptualization of an apostle and apostolic ministry allow the author to demonstrate the gap between the biblical perspective and Wagner’s concept of an apostle. The biblical role of an apostle is to make the church missional by emphasizing the concept of sending, whereas Wagner sees the apostle as a church leader. Based upon interviews and participant observation in three NARCs, SuYeon Yoon describes the leadership and ecclesiology based on their own self-descriptions. This book then demonstrates the gap between the biblical and conceptual ideals and the reality of ecclesial practice. The author argues that the NARC serves as a charismatic manifestation of a similar cultural response to establish a relational structure for church communities that can appropriately reflect upon and identify with the contemporary context. This implies that each movement needs to be biblically sound, faithful to its conceptualization, and relevant to the context in order to cultivate its own way of being the church.

Spirit Led Worship by Karen M Gray Pdf

There have been many books written about how to be an effective leader of a worship team, how to run a worship team, and even how to hear the voice of God, BUT no one seems to have broached the subject of how to follow the Holy Spirit during worship. While it is true that this should be a natural ability for any worship leader, (for "My Sheep will hear My voice" - John 10:27), putting this process into words is nonetheless surely a necessity for those who struggle in this area.As well as the methodology of how to follow the Holy Spirit in worship, this book describes in detail, how on a personal level, leaders can be more effective in this ministry. Plus, included are discussions on the why and what of worship to ensure the worship leader can fully appreciate his/her task on the platform.Because a music director job isn't just relegated to the Sunday service, the author further discusses how to raise up more Spirit led worship leaders, and to ensure your entire team is also Spirit led.Of all the worship leading resources out there, this is surely a must for any worship leader or aspiring worship leader.
