While Todd and Ricky dreamt about being Astronauts, an old Apollo Lunar Module that mysteriously returned to Earth is forming an Asteroid of space junk. Todd and Ricky attended Space Camp, but Todd fails during all the events, and becomes depressed. So during a tour of the launch pad, where the Magellan Five rocket is posed for a mission to get rid of the Asteroid, Todd and Ricky sneak inside the capsule. They accidently get locked in a cabinet, and are now stuck inside the capsule. The Magellan Five rocket launches with the stowaway boys and heads to the Asteroid. The boys are found, but are forced to stay with the Astronauts. After they dock with the old Lunar Module they found a friendly Alien inside. But the Astronauts ripped their spacesuits, and now it's up to Todd and Ricky to perform the historic mission of getting the Asteroid ready to fly into deep space. But space junk smacks into the Magellan capsule while it watches the boys and the Alien on top of the Asteroid. The Magellan capsule flies off toward the Moon leaving the boys and the Alien alone. The Magellan capsule later landed on the Moon. Then despite numerous threats, the boys and the Alien survive and complete preparing the Asteroid for its journey into deep space. They are now faced with flying off with the Asteroid, but the Magellan capsule mysteriously flies back from the Moon. After some more dilemmas were overcome, the Asteroid is finally flown away from Earth, and the boys were deemed heroes.
