A number of long-term trends were noted. High correlations obtained between certain results in the survey and the results of independent surveys are discussed. The inescapable conclusion is that, although this survey of waterfowl hunters provides valuable data on the subject, a better sampling frame (or frames) for measuring the activity and success of all hunters of migratory game birds other than waterfowl is needed to meet the high standards now being set for the management of this valuable resource.
