About This Issue of The Ministry In this issue of The Ministry, Brother Lee helps us to have an appreciation for the Bible as the Word of God. Having survived much persecution to be translated into many languages and dialects today, the Bible is a precious gift that the Lord has bestowed on us. Therefore, we believers should treasure it. The contents of the Bible are profound and mysterious, being a revelation and explanation of the Lord Jesus Christ Himself and the processes through which He passed. Therefore, we should highly regard the Bible, read it diligently, and come to it to receive the Lord as life. The following six messages are from the 2000 Memorial Day Conference in San Jose, California, entitled "A New Revival—Becoming the New Jerusalem." In this series of messages, the New Jerusalem is presented not in a general way, but in a way that specifically focuses on becoming the New Jerusalem. Hence, the burden of these messages can be summarized in the following four statements: 1) the New Jerusalem is the consummation of God becoming man and man becoming God in life, in nature, and in expression but not in the Godhead; 2) the Triune God and we become the New Jerusalem by the divine dispensing of Himself into us as the flowing Triune God for our enjoyment to be our eternal blessing for His eternal glory; 3) we become the New Jerusalem, the enlargement of God, the corporate God-man, through the process of God’s organic salvation; and 4) the consummation of God’s organic salvation is the New Jerusalem, the processed and consummated Triune God incorporated with His regenerated, sanctified, renewed, transformed, conformed, and glorified tripartite elect. This issue of The Ministry of the Word contains the three messages from the Southern California Blending Conference and Messages 4 and 5 from the special conference held in Anaheim, California, respectively, on June 10-11 and February 17-19, 2017. The general subject of the blending conference is "The Vision, Ministry, and Ministers of the Age." In every age there is a particular vision given by God, a specific ministry of that age, and a minister or ministers used by God to fulfill their commission to bear, release, and trumpet the ministry of that age. In every age God gives a particular vision that guards, controls, and governs His people so that they may serve Him according to the vision of that age. The governing vision of the Bible is the Triune God working Himself into His chosen and redeemed people in order to saturate their entire being with the Divine Trinity for the producing and building up of the Body of Christ consummating in the New Jerusalem. The vision that the Lord has given to His recovery is an all-inclusive vision--the all-inheriting vision of the age. Our vision extends all the way from Adam's vision of the tree of life in the garden of Eden to the New Jerusalem with the tree of life. The ministry of this age builds up the Body of Christ, which is to build up the New Jerusalem; prepares the bride of Christ, which is to prepare the New Jerusalem because the New Jerusalem is the bride of Christ; and brings in the kingdom of God, the ultimate manifestation and consummation of which is the New Jerusalem. Therefore, the ministry of this age fulfills the direction of the Lord's move today. The ministry of the age ministers the present truth to God's people. The present truth, the highest peak of the divine revelation given to us by God through the ministry of this age, is the revelation of the eternal economy of God. God becoming man so that man might become God in life and in nature but not in the Godhead is the essence of the entire Bible, the "diamond" in the "box" of the Bible, the eternal economy of God. God and man will become one entity, and that one entity is the mingling of divinity with humanity, which will consummate in the New Jerusalem, the conclusion of the entire Bible. The ministers of the age are those who have the vision of the age and the ministry of the age and know what God is speaking and doing in the present age. The ministers of the age are patterns to the believers so that they may be perfected to do the work of the ministry for the building up of the Body of Christ. The ministers of the age have four characteristics: First, they are men who allow their natural ability to be terminated by the cross so that all their ability is in resurrection. Second, they are tree-of-life persons. Third, they know the central work of God. Fourth, they pay more attention to life than to work. The general subject of the special conference is "Special Fellowship concerning the World Situation and the Lord's Move." Messages 4 and 5 of this special conference were spoken in English and therefore are included in this issue. The following statement encapsulates the burden of the conference: The Announcements section at the end of this issue contains a list of upcoming conferences and trainings hosted by Living Stream Ministry and a website link for information related to similar events in Europe.

In this issue of The Ministry, we begin a series of messages which Brother Lee spoke concerning migration in Los Angeles in 1969. The gospel of grace in the New Testament emphasizes our coming and our going. We come to the Lord for salvation, for grace, and to be filled with God. Then we go to bring salvation, spread grace, and dispense God to others. Our going, according to the Lord’s command, is in the way of migration. In the first message, Brother Lee particularly emphasizes our need to carry out the migrations as a move of the Body, preserving the oneness and proper fellowship between all the local churches. The next six messages in this issue, comprising the Crystallization-study of the Divinity of Christ, are from the first half of the Living Stream Ministry’s Winter Training of 1997. The subject of this training was originally chosen by Brother Lee, and the outlines were prepared by his co-workers in fellowship with him. They represent the utterances, the thoughts, and the crystals from various portions of Brother Lee’s ministry. Brother Lee began the semiannual trainings in 1974, and then book by book, training after training, he covered the entire Bible in the way of life-study and later returned to crucial matters in the way of crystallization-study. The open Bible has now become our inheritance in the Lord’s recovery and the foundation for our going on in the Lord’s way. Toward the end of his ministry, Brother Lee charged his co-workers that his will, his bequest, to the Lord’s recovery was that the semiannual trainings would continue after he went to be with the Lord. Even though our brother is not physically with us, we are still one to carry out his bequest. We conclude this issue with some encouraging letters concerning the Lord’s move in His ministry throughout the earth, especially in the publications of the ministry in this country and in Europe.

In this issue we will continue four lines of ministry. The first line--The History of the Lord's Recovery--contains chapters 8 through 11 of The Vital Groups, which are in volume 5 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1994-1997. These chapters speak of love prevailing, of Christ's cherishing us as the Son of Man in His humanity, and of Christ's nourishing us as the Son of God in His divinity. The second line--Words for New Believers--continues with chapters 19 and 20 of Basic Lessons on Life, which are in volume 1 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1979. This line then continues with chapters 1 and 2 of a new book, Basic Principles of the Experience of Life, which are in volume 3 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1963. The first two chapters in this section speak of having a proper spirit and of discerning the spirit from the soul. The next two chapters speak of the scriptural meaning of life and of the experiences of life. The third line--Maturing in Life--continues with chapters 17 through 20 of Knowing Life and the Church, which are in volume 1 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1953. These chapters speak of preparing ourselves to meet the Lord's need, of being joined to the Lord in the matter of service, of the principle of God's breaking, and of God's breaking, not man's magnanimity, being the way of life. The fourth line--The High Peak of the Divine Revelation--continues with chapters 4 and 5 of The Application of the Interpretation of the New Jerusalem to the Seeking Believers, which are in volume 3 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1994-1997. This line then continues with chapters 1 and 2 of a new book, The Practical Way to Live a Life according to the High Peak of the Divine Revelation in the Holy Scriptures, which are in volume 2 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1994-1997. The first two chapters in this section focus on the spiritual significance of the furnishings and the supply of the New Jerusalem. The next two chapters speak of having a clear view concerning the accomplishments of the processed and consummated Triune God and of being conformed to the death of Christ by the power of His resurrection.
