Jeffery Fernol (1878 - 1952) was an English writer of romance / adventure stories. He is thought to be the co-founder of the Regency romantic genre. The Broad Highway, published in 1910, was one of Farnol's first books. The beautiful scenery along the roads in Kent comprises the backdrop for this romance.
