Game Value by Vedat Yiğitoğlu Pdf

‘Game’ as a term, implies the game beyond its meaning and expands on it. This work solidifies the idea that, in essence games are “a form of communication” between numerous planes of thought. As such along with their rising importance, it’s no longer sufficient for games to be investigated under any single discipline, instead requiring the subject to be investigated under a variety of disciplines. In this sense, while various other works on the nature of games have tried to draw their own borders; defining their own terminologies and methods, it had at times advanced forth in an almost purist fashion; each keeping close watch on their own wellestablished areas. However, in order to completely comprehend games and their inner-workings, an inter-disciplinary approach is a necessity. in this work, “games” are being investigated in its anthropocosmological meaning, and as a form of new media. Language games, digital games, and topics like gamification are taken into account in a uniformed sense, by a variety of thinkers who are qualified as game philosophers, each with their own area expertise.

The Rules of the Game by Ronald I. McKinnon Pdf

The Rules of the Game brings together essays written over the course of thirty years by a major figure in the field. McKinnon analyzes and compares a wide variety of important international monetary regimes: the establishment of the gold standard in the nineteenth century, Bretton Woods, the dollar standard, floating exchange rates, the European Monetary System, and current proposals for reforming world monetary arrangements. The essays are unique in that they specify precisely the rules of the game for each international monetary regime - past, present, and future. For ease of reference, the book offers boxed summaries of each set of rules and then discusses their advantages and disadvantages, from the gold standard down to the author's proposal for a common monetary standard for the twenty-first century.

Regulating the Metaverse Economy by Annelieke Mooij Pdf

This open access book examines regulating an environment that has no jurisdiction, is fully anonymous and infinitely vast? Welcome to the Metaverse, an online virtual reality that is expected to add billions to the global economy. The Metaverse offers a new type of virtual economy with practically endless business opportunities. The question is how to prevent these opportunities from being abused to commit money laundering and finance terrorism (MLFT). This book explores the current European Union legislation designed to prevent MLFT in connection with the Metaverse. It analyses the legislation in relation to the three traditional stages of MLFT: placement, layering and integration. Furthermore, some additional risks specific to the Metaverse are discussed, such as Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) and the high level of anonymity. The book concludes that the current legislation is not suitable for facing the new challenges of the Metaverse. In turn, the book puts forward a novel approach to regulating and enforcing MLFT legislation: using a system of smart assets equipped with AI to prevent and detect MLFT. In addition, it makes recommendations on how to improve the legal framework with regard to the new challenges arising from the Metaverse. Particular attention is given to creating a legal framework that incorporates the use of smart assets and the Internet of Things, in order to provide a safe environment for potential users and society. With a solid background in financial law and technology, the author successfully creates a novel system of regulation and enforcement that is based on the use of automatic enforcement, whilst keeping sufficient legal safeguards in place for potential Metaverse users. This book will be of interest to anyone interested in the Metaverse. Whether you want to regulate it or open your own virtual business, it’s a must-read!

The One Dollar a Day Millionaire by Lucky Vincent Pdf

Virtually everybody in the world wants to be a millionaire. But not everybody knows what it takes to be a millionaire.Certainly, becoming a millionaire is not an easy task. It is, in fact, an uphill task. If not, everybody would have become a millionaire. But it is a task that can be done. So, what does it take to be a millionaire? Like every other attainment in life, it takes a number of factors or traits to become a millionaire.Seriously speaking, becoming a millionaire is a game of numbers. A millionaire is simply a person who has accumulated a monetary net worth of up to seven digits of any country's currency, such as N1,000,000 or $1,000,000 or 1,000,000 or e1,000,000. What this means is that the moment a person has acquired or accumulated the first one million of the country's currency, that person is qualified to be called a millionaire. Ideally, any fool can become a millionaire. But that is the ideal situation. The real fact of life is that about 90% of the world's population, from the ages past to the present, have not been able to achieve this feat, as simple as it seems. The sole reason why many people have not achieved the feat of becoming millionaires is because they have not taken the first step. Becoming a millionaire is not as lofty, difficult and scary as that. All that you have to do is to reduce or belittle the mountain and climb it from the bottom up. Life is a game of numbers; and becoming a millionaire is just a game of numbers. But it is a game that you must be willing to play. Nobody wins a game that he is not involved in, no matter how much interest he has in the game. The only way to become a millionaire is to get involved in playing the millionaire's game. It is the game of making money; it is the game of saving money; it is the game of investing money; it is the game of making your money to work for you; and above all, it is the game of numbers, which showcases the miracle of compound interest. Money is the oil that lubricates the world (the human society) in which man operates. If you lack the knowledge of money, the oil (or fluid) that enables the resources to flow freely, you will most likely have great difficulties in getting things organized to achieve your desired goals or to realize your desired dreams. Therefore, with all your getting, get understanding or the knowledge of money in order to make things work for you.But we have a faulty education system in which nobody taught or teaches us about money. Yet, understanding money - what it is, how it works, how to make it work for you, how to earn it, and how to keep it - is absolutely essential to your life, your relationships, your world, your happiness and your future. To exclude the knowledge of money from your education is to exclude you from the best that life has to offer. Above all, learning how to become financially successful is one of the most critical skills that you must seek to acquire.Money skill is not taught at school or at any other designated institution in the world. Hence, everyone must bear his own burden here. It therefore behooves a man of wisdom to seek out such books on money (including this one), and seek out a quiet place, to read, learn and acquire the knowledge of money in order to perform optimally in life. The goal of this book is to give you some financial education and to get you to change your attitude towards money and how to save and invest it. If I can get you to form the habit of saving and investing at least one dollar a day, I would have achieved my aim for writing this book, and I would be fulfilled as having imparted you and your future generations.
