The "Grace" Ticket by Brian Saylor Pdf

A nation deceived...that's what we've become. A "Christian" nation that is in dire need of a genuine repentance...that's what we are. Millions of "Christians" in this country are spiritually dead, still living in bondage to sin, alienated from God and void of His Spirit. Those I am describing are believers no doubt, these believers, however, are simply unaware as to whose message it is that they have accepted. Jesus warns us repeatedly to be on our guard against Satan and his deception being delivered through a false teaching. It is apparent that we haven't taken His warning seriously! The "grace ticket" message being delivered by our pastors today certainly holds to the Name, but this false teaching spawned by the enemy claims that WE can remove the conditional requirements found in His Word and still expect to receive His promises (including eternal salvation)! The problem is, according to scripture, just believing in the existence of God and His Son does not reconcile us to God and enable us to receive His Spirit. Believing the whole Truth within His message does (including His conditions and our responsibility). Satan's deception (easy-believism) is, of course, an easy sell...hence the vastly growing number of mega-churches across this country full of lost souls. Rather than holding firmly to the entire Word of God, "Christians" today have placed their faith in man's word, holding only to those scriptures that support the false teaching that we've accepted, and the belief system that we've created. So, why is this deception so prevalent in the church today? How does this grace ticket message stand up against the Word of God? What does scripture say about the eternal fate of those who reject the Truth found in His Word and buy the lie? Let's take a look...

The Grace Factor by Sarah Bowling Pdf

Grace is a very “Christianese” term that is often misunderstood by both Christians and nonbelievers. When you break it down, it is a simple concept that has daily application in our lives. The definition most often given to grace is: a God-given opportunity to change with His power. That sounds Christianese too, doesn’t it? But that really does say it all. Grace is a gift of God, and there’s absolutely nothing we can do (or have done) to persuade Him to give it to us — He gives His grace because He chooses to.

Ticket Scalping by Kerry Segrave Pdf

Ticket scalping is as much an American staple as apple pie. Beginning as early as the mid-1800s, scalpers, known as "sidewalk men," were charging all the traffic would bear for event tickets. Although these speculators were generally viewed as pariahs and public opinion was against the practice, legal attempts to limit their activities were far from successful. Boston enacted laws as early as 1873, while Pennsylvania followed suit in 1884. Still, such measures did little good since some laws were declared unconstitutional and, for the ones that were upheld, the fines were negligible with jail time rarely served. Over the years, as moral objections to scalping dimmed, the public became more tolerant as the practice became increasingly prevalent. By the 1990s, the capitalist mantras of free market and economic principles of supply and demand were even being used to justify the practice. This volume details the ways in which scalping has changed over the years from a one-man business to an agency-controlled enterprise, from performances by Jenny Lind to Billy Joel. The book examines the general situation, public opinion and legal perception of scalping for four distinct periods: 1850-1899; 1900-1917; 1918-1949 and 1950-2005. Emphasis is placed on the ways in which public and legal perception of the practice has evolved over this period. Scalping, slowly gaining a more positive status, has become more accepted as part of the economic practice of free markets.

Summer Showers In Brindavan, 1974 by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba Pdf

The Summer Showers in Brindavan, 1974 are no showers, but a flood. Bhagawan in His compassion and boundless love covered the whole gamut of truths, esoteric and explicit, contained in the Vedas in His discourses. While unfolding the esoteric content and explaining the technical terms, He dispelled many misconceptions in the minds of students and pundits, particularly about the term ‘Brahman’, which He established by drawing from scriptural texts, as also His own testimony as Eternal and Universal. He explained the term Bharath as embracing the whole world and not confined to the geographic entity now called ‘India’. Bhagawan has made a loving and passionate appeal to all students to take His teachings to heart and practice Dharma all the while. In fact, it can be, without exaggeration, renamed ‘The Sathya Sai Gita’.

Ticket to the Opera by Phil G. Goulding Pdf

In Ticket to the Opera, Phil G. Goulding finally makes the magic and mystique of opera accessible to all. Here he offers a complete operatic education, including history, definitions of key musical terms, opera lore and gossip, portraits of famous singers and the roles they immortalized, as well as pithy introductions to the greatest operas of Europe and America and their composers. The book's centerpiece is what Goulding terms "the collection"--85 classics, among them Aida, The Marriage of Figaro, Carmen, and Madama Butterfly, that have been packing the world's opera houses for years. This entertaining, meticulously researched book also includes a fascinating chapter on American opera from George Gershwin's Porgy and Bess to Philip Glass's Einstein on the Beach and a discussion of the gems of twentieth-century opera featuring works like Leos Janácek's The Cunning Little Vixen, Alban Berg's Lulu, and Serge Prokofiev's The Love for Three Oranges. Whether you're a curious neophyte, a music lover interested in branching out, or an aficionado eager to compare notes with a brilliant fellow opera buff, you'll prize Ticket to the Opera as an essential volume in your music library.

From Good to Grace by Christine Hoover Pdf

Many women feel as if they do not do enough and are not enough. They're always trying hard to be good: a good friend, mom, wife, Christian, employee, or ministry leader, hoping for that "atta-girl" from God. With compelling illustrations from her own life, Christine Hoover leads readers to the understanding that they're living by a lesser gospel, the gospel of goodness, one without Christ's grace. Relying on Scripture, they can start asking, "What does God want for me?" before asking, "What does God want from me?" Women will breathe a sigh of relief at this powerful message of freedom and hope. Rather than serving God out of obligation or duty, they'll be compelled to love and serve God with great joy.

Make Poverty Personal (ēmersion: Emergent Village resources for communities of faith) by Ash Barker Pdf

Poverty is one of the great challenges of the 21st century. But poverty is not new. And neither is God's deep concern for the poor--it is a theme deeply woven throughout the Bible. Yet sadly, churches and individual Christians have too often been blind to this emphasis, or they have been paralyzed into inaction by feelings of helplessness. In this urgent, provocative book, Ash Barker offers both challenge and hope. Pulling out and reflecting on significant passages from both testaments, he reveals what the Bible says about both the nature of poverty and about how God calls his people to respond. These studies, ideal for either individual or small group use, are interlaced with personal reflections--first-hand accounts from fifteen years of ministry among the poor.
