The Sea Change by Patricia Bray Pdf

Between a mysterious past and a treacherous future lies one lost man—and a magic that has changed the world forever. . . . After years of exile, shattered dreams, and confusion, Josan has finally discovered he is not the simple monk he appeared to be. Nor is he the victim of a mysterious fever, as he was led to believe. Instead his soul had been magically shifted into the body of the condemned Prince Lucius, leader of a failed rebellion against the rightful monarchs of the kingdom of Ikaria. And though Josan is the dominant personality in that body, the remnants of Lucius’ s mind grow stronger each day. When the Ikarian royal family is slaughtered in a bloody assassination, Josan/Lucius is not only the prime suspect but the sole remaining legitimate heir to the throne. With Ikaria in chaos, can Josan clear himself from suspicion in time to keep the wolves from the door? And can he ever integrate the two souls that now inhabit a single body?

Who Let the Bats Out? by Peter Hargitai Pdf

In this bat-mad collection of twisted tales, Peter Hargitai lets out all the stops: he is irreverent, funny, and irresistible. Learn about the real Vlad the Impaler and his poor performance on the Hamilton Depression Scale due to Dracula wannabees like Bla Lugosi; goddesses pursuing shepherds hunkering after sheep; straight serpent-like creatures and gay super-heroes; tattooed dragon slayers, medieval shepherds whose lies tell the truth, talking cocks stalking Turkish emperors; an artistic lad who wants to be called Andr and join the Merchant Marine in land-locked Transylvania; a blind princess under the spell of an evil sorceress; a blood countess who wants to be forever young through a combination of Botox and an Iron Maiden. And one damsel who fulfills her impossible dream of becoming a king after a sex-change operation in nearby Serbia. Who Let the Bats Out? Twisted Tales from Transylvania, a hilarious tweaking of folk tales from the Hungarian oral tradition, will make you laugh out loud on every page. They are about fantastical beings as in the story of Hunor and Magor, twin hunters who come to earth like two falling stars, obsessed by the behind of a magical white hind. The elusive creature leads them to a meadow of beautiful moon maidens they are destined to marry were it not for their forbidding pre-nuptials...

Off Armageddon Reef by David Weber Pdf

Humanity pushed its way to the stars - and encountered the Gbaba, a ruthless alien race that nearly wiped us out. Earth and her colonies are now smoldering ruins, and the few survivors have fled to distant, Earth-like Safehold, to try to rebuild. But the Gbaba can detect the emissions of an industrial civilization, so the human rulers of Safehold have taken extraordinary measures: with mind control and hidden high technology, they've built a religion in which every Safeholdian believes, a religion designed to keep Safehold society medieval forever. 800 years pass. In a hidden chamber on Safehold, an android from the far human past awakens. This "rebirth" was set in motion centuries before, by a faction that opposed shackling humanity with a concocted religion. Via automated recordings, "Nimue" - or, rather, the android with the memories of Lieutenant Commander Nimue Alban - is told her fate: she will emerge into Safeholdian society, suitably disguised, and begin the process of provoking the technological progress which the Church of God Awaiting has worked for centuries to prevent. Nothing about this will be easy. To better deal with a medieval society, "Nimue" takes a new gender and a new name, "Merlin." His formidable powers and access to caches of hidden high technology will need to be carefully concealed. And he'll need to find a base of operations, a Safeholdian country that's just a little more freewheeling, a little less orthodox, a little more open to the new. And thus Merlin comes to Charis, a mid-sized kingdom with a talent for naval warfare. He plans to make the acquaintance of King Haarahld and Crown Prince Cayleb, and maybe, just maybe, kick off a new era of invention. Which is bound to draw the attention of the Church...and, inevitably, lead to war. It's going to be a long, long process. And David Weber's epic Off Armageddon Reef is can't-miss sci-fi. Jung and the Lost Gospels by Stephan A. Hoeller Pdf

The "Lost Gospels" refer to the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Nag Hammadi Library, both discovered in the 1940s. The Nag Hammadi Library consists of writings found by two peasants who unearthed clay jars in 1945 in upper Egypt. These did not appear in English for 32 years, because the right to publish was contended by scholars, politicians, and antique dealers. The Dead Sea Scrolls, discovered in clay jars in Palestine by a goatherder in 1947, weathered similar storms. The first team of analysts were mostly Christian clergy, who weren't anxious to share material that frightened church leaders. As Dr. Hoeller shows, they rightly feared the documents would reveal information that might detract from unique claims of Christianity. Indeed, the Dead Sea Scrolls and Nag Hammadi Library both contradict and complement accepted tenets of the Old and New Testaments.

Royal Lies by Aleera Anaya Ceres Pdf

The only life Princess Odele Malabella knows is a lavish one. Years of tragedy killed off her family members one by one until she and her long-lost cousin, Maisie, uncovered a murderous fiend and set the kingdom of Thalassar to rights. With the weight of her ex-engagement off her shoulders, Odele has plans. Plans to travel the seven sea kingdoms and find adventures. Plans that don’t include marriage, ruling, or responsibilities. Only, royal life is not so simple, and the ultimatum the queen presents is a double-edged sword. Marry, or die. Being a slave—er, wife—to the bastard Prince of Iol was never part of her plan, and escaping from the clutches of him and his brooding guard is not easy to do as they journey towards the cold, northern waters of his kingdom. A kingdom that gives the Princess of Thalassar more than she bargained for when royal lies and deadly plots begin to unravel from the shadows. Lies and plots that just might change the fate of her heart—and their kingdoms—forever. Royal Lies contains all three books: Slave to Ice & Shadows, Princes in Frost Castles, and Queen of Frozen War.
