MIDAS Technical Analysis by Andrew Coles,David Hawkins Pdf

This book provides a new, powerful twist to MIDAS technical analysis, a trading method developed by the late Paul Levine. The authors show how to employ MIDAS in trading, from recognizing set ups to identifying price targets. The book explains the basics of MIDAS before demonstrating how to apply it in different time frames. Further, it extrapolates how MIDAS can be used with other more conventional indicators, such as DeMark or moving averages. In addition to introducing new indicators that the authors have created, the book also supplies new computer codes.

Beating the Midas Curse by Rod Zeeb Pdf

In this updated 3rd edition of the classic best-seller, you will learn why only one out of ten families successfully pass their unity and prosperity from one generation to the next, and what you can do to protect and strengthen your own family against The Midas Curse. For as long as historical records have been kept, the three-generation cycle of boom to bust has been the painful reality for 90% of all families. Two thousand years ago in China the saying was 'wealth never survives three generations.' A century ago in Brazil it was 'from the stables to the stars to the stables' in three generations. Many cultures, one sad tradition of loss and failure.Watching your family's material assets fade away is bad enough; even worse is witnessing the damage done to individual family member achievement and family unity, in large part because traditional inheritance planning fails to address the Midas Curse. Author Rod Zeeb knew why so many families were failing. For him, the more important question was: what were the 10% of families who continue to thrive and prosper generation after generation doing differently? Beating the Midas Curse is the product of decades of research and practical experience with hundreds of families at all income levels, from average income earners to billionaires. It details the practical, proven methods identified by Zeeb that have been used for centuries by the 'successful 10%' to beat the Midas Curse. Start with the information in this book, and then begin your family's own multi-generational journey to greater unity, strength and prosperity-right now.

The Midas Murders by Pieter Aspe Pdf

DIVIn the second novel by the international bestselling Pieter Aspe, Inspector Van In races against the clock to thwart a series of terrorist plots One quiet snow-covered Sunday morning in Bruges, a prominent business executive is found dead in the streets, apparently due to an alcoholic hemorrhage, but for Inspector Van In, there is something about the autopsy that does not add up. When he questions the businessman’s friend, a Dutchman, he too is found dead the next morning, burned to death in a house fire. When there is an explosion in the middle of a popular tourist area in downtown Bruges, Van In strives to find the connection between the three incidents, but no one is coming forward to claim responsibility for this terrorist attack. Just an anonymous letter to the police, threatening more bombings—unless they cooperate with a series of demands that would undermine the entire city government. Aided by the spunky and beautiful assistant DA, Hannelore Martens, Inspector Van In finds himself enmeshed in the case that threatens not just the lives of countless innocent people, but the heart of the city he loves. /div

Competition and Succession in Pastures by P. G. Tow,Alec Lazenby Pdf

This book describes how competition between plant species, and succession in plant ecosystems, operate in grasslands and grazed pastures, both natural and sown. It discusses how competition both affects botanical structure, productivity and persistence of pastures and is itself regulated by biological, environmental and management factors, such as grazing animals. The book also examines the ways in which competition and succession are analysed, evaluated and measured, and brings to the agricultural arena the considerable progress made in understanding the principles of competition from theoretical and experimental ecology.

Technology and Method Developments for High-throughput Translational Medicine by Junhee Seok Pdf

Translation of knowledge from basic science to medicine is essential to improving both clinical research and practice. In this translation, high-throughput genomic approaches can greatly accelerate our understanding of molecular mechanisms of diseases. A successful high-throughput genomic study of disease requires, first, comprehensive and efficient platforms to collect genomic data from clinical samples, and second, computational analysis methods that utilize databases of prior biological knowledge together with experimental data to derive clinically meaningful results. In this thesis, we discuss the development of a new microarray platform as well as computational methods for knowledge-based analysis along with their applications in clinical research. First, we and other colleagues have developed a new high-density oligonucleo-tide array of the human transcriptome for high-throughput and cost-efficient analysis of patient samples in clinical studies. This array allows comprehensive examination of gene expression and genome-wide identification of alternative splicing, and also pro-vides assays for coding SNP detection and non-coding transcripts. Compared with high-throughput mRNA sequencing technology, we show that this array is highly re-producible in estimating gene and exon expression, and sensitive in detecting expres-sion changes. In addition, the exon-exon junction feature of this array is shown to im-prove detection efficiency for mRNA alternative splicing when combined with an ap-propriate computational method. We implemented the use of this array in a multi-center clinical program and have obtained comparable levels of high quality and re-producible data. With low costs and high throughputs for sample processing, we antic-ipate that this array platform will have a wide range of applications in high-throughput clinical studies. Second, we investigated knowledge-based methods that utilize prior know-ledge from biology and medicine to improve analysis and interpretation of high-throughput genomic data. We have developed knowledge-based methods to enrich our prior knowledge, illustrate dynamic response to external stimulus, and identify distur-bances in cellular pathways by chemical exposure, as well as discover hidden biological signatures for the prediction of patient outcomes. Finally, we applied a knowledge-based approach in a large scale genomic study of trauma patients. Cooperating with clinical information, prior knowledge improved the interpretation of common and dif-ferential genomic response to injury, and provided efficient risk assessment for patient outcomes. The clinical and genomic data as well as analysis results in this trauma study were systematically organized and provided to research communities as new knowledge of traumatic injury. The microarray platform and knowledge-based methods presented in this thesis provide appropriate research tools for high-throughput translational medicine in a large clinical setting. This thesis is expected to advance understanding and treatment for dis-eases, and finally, improve public health.
