The Mighty Mustang by Ronit Ranjan Pdf

You remember how in school we had 'houses'- red, green, blue, yellow. Similarly, in the National Defence Academy (NDA) we have squadrons- Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and so on. Now, every squadron has a soul- Alpha-Apaches, Bravo-Braves, Charlie-Cheetah, Delta-Daggers and so on. I was in the Mike squadron of the 135th course. Our soul is a Mustang horse- one of the strongest, wildest breed of horses. We were called 'The Mighty Mustang'. But all of this didn't come so easy. Nor did it end well. My life is completely different today. This book is on the two biggest falls in my life and the entire journey of getting back on my feet... Well, I'm Ronit Ranjan. I'm an ex-NDA, presently pursuing my under-graduation at Christ University, Bangalore and here's my story...

Along Came A Cowboy (Mustang River Ranch, #2) by Bev Pettersen Pdf

She thinks he’s an unfeeling rodeo star. He thinks she’s a hothouse flower. They’re both wrong. Rodeo champ Carter Bass vows to steer clear of women, especially Barbie cowgirls with their bright lipstick and artificial smiles. The Mustang River Ranch’s wilderness chase offers the perfect opportunity to escape his fans and match wits with quarry that is tough, smart and athletic. Allie McIvor found a place to call home when she fled the city for a job at the luxury ranch. She barely knows the front of a horse from the back, but she can dress enough like a cowgirl to keep the guests happy. And she’s not about to let the disdain of one swaggering cowboy dim her day, no matter that he’s too sexy for his own boots. But when she finds herself competing in the rugged outdoors contest, she’s forced to dig up reserves of strength and determination she never realized she had. While that might be enough to win the heart of one hot broody cowboy, the Montana wilderness conceals many dangerous predators… And not all of them are four-footed.

Mustang Miracle by Humberto G. Garcia Pdf

In 1957, when very few Mexican-Americans were familiar with the game of golf, and even less actually played it, a group of young caddies which had been recruited to form the San Felipe High School Golf Team by two men who loved the game, but who had limited access to it, competed against all-white schools for the Texas State High School Golf Championship. Despite having outdated and inferior equipment, no professional lessons or instructions, four young golfers with self-taught swings from the border city of Del Rio, captured the State title. Three of them took the gold, silver and bronze medals for best individual players. This book tells their story from their introduction to the game as caddies to eventually becoming champions.

P-51B Mustang by James William "Bill" Marshall,Lowell F. Ford Pdf

During World War II, the United States Army Air Corps was led by a cadre of officers who believed implicitly that military aviation, particularly fast heavy bombers at high altitude, would be able to destroy strategic enemy targets during daylight with minimal losses. However, by 1942 the Flying Fortress was proving vulnerable to Luftwaffe fighters. This title charts the United States Army Air Force's struggle to develop a Long-Range Escort which would enable them to achieve the Combined Bomber Objectives and gain mastery of the skies over the Third Reich. The commitment of the USAAF to the Mediterranean and European theatres saw an increasingly desperate need to find a fighter escort, which reached crisis point in 1943 as losses suffered in the Tidal Wave offensive and Schweinfurt-Regensburg-Munster raids emphasised the mounting strength of the Luftwaffe. The USAAF leaders increasingly accepted the probability of bomber losses, and the deployment of the P-51B Mustang solved the problem of Germany's layered defence strategy, as Luftwaffe fighters had been avoiding the P-47 Thunderbolt and P-38 Lightening escort fighters by concentrating their attacks beyond the range of the Thunderbolt and Lightning. The P-51B duly emerged as the 'The Bastard Stepchild' that the USAAF Material Division did not want, becoming the key Long-Range Escort fighter, alongside the P-38 and P-47, that defeated the Luftwaffe prior to D-Day. As well as the P-51B's history, this title explores the technical improvements made to each of these fighters, as well as the operational leadership and technical development of the Luftwaffe they fought against.

For All Who Dream by Myra Lee Herigon Pdf

Grandparents are story tellers. Early-day lessons are learned while listening in their laps . . . in the rocking chairs . . . by the winter fireplaces . . . on the summer porches. These pages just pass on some tales my grandparents, uncles, aunts, and others of their generation told. And a few of mine. The tales were sent one at a time via e-mail to my children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends scattered from Texas to California, Canada, Virginia, and Florida. As the yarns were received and read, the readers responded, provided critical comments, and helped compose a book of remembrances for those yet to come. There may have been some enhancement in the lore and spiel of those who came before me. There might be a wee stretch in some of my contributions. But mostly this is the way it was.
