She exposes the false doctrines that permeate the church today in the areas of marriage and divorce, and with correlating scriptures she correctly interprets scriptures that have been misinterpreted for years""scriptures that God has mercifully sent to heal the broken-hearted, comfort the afflicted, and set the captives free. The One-Flesh Covenant is a must-read for every member of the body of Christ as it will enable those who receive its truths to no longer portray Jesus as the God of grace without obedience to faith, the God of faith without works, the God of mercy without justice and the God of forgiveness without repentance and bearing one's cross. One Flesh by Joe Fogle Pdf

On the sixth day of creation, God formed Adam from the dust of the earth. God then formed Eve from Adam's side. From this day forward man was to leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife. The two are joined together by God in a permanent one-flesh relationship. After man fell, the sins of adultery, fornication, polygamy, and divorce altered God's intention for marriage. This was true of those both outside and inside God's covenant community. By the time the Lord Jesus Christ came in the flesh, the traditions of Judaism had either changed or nullified God's command for marriage. The Lord Jesus Christ came and stated God's original intent for marriage: 1. Permanence. The husband and wife are one flesh. They are permanently joined in a covenant relationship for life. No person has the legal or moral authority to end what God has joined together. No sin or legal document can dissolve the one-flesh bond. 2. Forgiveness. This is Christ's emphasis in dealing with sin. When one spouse fails, the love of Christ compels the other to forgive. Hardness of heart is the cause of unforgiveness and results in divorce. Because of the biblical teachings of Jesus and Paul, the early church held to the permanence of marriage. Over the centuries, Christ's commands on the permanence of marriage have been either changed or nullified. They have been replaced with the traditions of men. In theory, Christians are taught that they may divorce and remarry if their spouse commits adultery or deserts them. In practice, many evangelical Christians are divorcing and remarrying for almost any reason. The Lord Jesus Christ taught God's original intentions regarding forgiveness and divorce. The Word of God has not changed. "What God has joined together, let no man separate" (Mark 10:9).

Covenant and Calling by Robert Song Pdf

No other issue in recent times has proved as potentially divisive for the churches as that of same-sex relationships. At the same time as many countries have been moving towards legal recognition of civil partnerships or same-sex marriage, Christian responses have tended towards either finding alliances with proponents of conservative social mores, or providing what amounts to theological endorsement of secular liberal values.

Marriage Covenant the Two Shall Be One Flesh by Favors Mary Pdf

What Is Marriage? A Covenant Marriage the sacred, Covenant union of one man and one women formed when the two swear before God an oath of lifelong loyalty and love to one another, the sign and seal of which is sexual intercourse. Covenant commitment the covenant analogy attests the commitment between two married partners (Prov. 2:17; Mal 2:14). The purpose of marriage is to reflect the relationship of the Godhead and to serve him. Although the fall has blemished the divine purpose and function of marriage, this definition reflects the God-ordained ideal for marriage from the beginning. Nature of marriage is God instituted the first marriage in the garden of Eden when He gave Eve to Adam as a wife (Gen.2:18-25). The relational aspect of God's image is reflected in the bringing together of male and female in "one flesh" MORE INFOR INFORMATION www.divinefavorsbooks.com www.wowsnetworking.com

Irresistible by Andy Stanley Pdf

A fresh look at the earliest Christian movement reveals what made the new faith so compelling...and what we need to change today to make it so again. Once upon a time there was a version of the Christian faith that was practically irresistible. After all, what could be more so than the gospel that Jesus ushered in? Why, then, isn't it the same with Christianity today? Author and pastor Andy Stanley is deeply concerned with the present-day church and its future. He believes that many of the solutions to our issues can be found by investigating our roots. In Irresistible, Andy chronicles what made the early Jesus Movement so compelling, resilient, and irresistible by answering these questions: What did first-century Christians know that we don't—about God's Word, about their lives, about love? What did they do that we're not doing? What makes Christianity so resistible in today's culture? What needs to change in order to repeat the growth our faith had at its beginning? Many people who leave or disparage the faith cite reasons that have less to do with Jesus than with the conduct of his followers. It's time to hit pause and consider the faith modeled by our first-century brothers and sisters who had no official Bible, no status, and little chance of survival. It's time to embrace the version of faith that initiated—against all human odds—a chain of events resulting in the most significant and extensive cultural transformation the world has ever seen. This is a version of Christianity we must remember and re-embrace if we want to be salt and light in an increasingly savorless and dark world.
