Rather, they could be telling you that they suddenly feel nervous about doing something important and are thinking of backing out. You might get cold feet right before speaking in front of a large group of people, for example. This phrase is also often used to describe someone as having second thoughts just before their wedding. Cold shoulder It’s not only feet that get cold in body idioms because shoulders do, too. If you want someone to leave you alone, give them the cold shoulder. It’s easy to snub someone when you turn your back and shoulders to them. This is a fascinating read for any Kerry Blue Terrier enthusiast or historian of the breed and also contains much information that is still useful and practical today. Many of the earliest dog breed books, particularly those dating back to the 1900s and before, are now extremely scarce and increasingly expensive.
